She listens carefully, trying to absorb everything that he is blabbering about. Feeling something heavy inside her, she plays with the end of her shirt. She observes how his eyes twinkle with every word he says, her heart aching. Her lips curve into a forced smile when he finishes. They looked at each other for a few good seconds before he reaches for her hand, enclosing it in his own. 

"I'm so happy Hyoyeon. It's like...I'm on cloud nine. After months of trying to get her, she finally said yes.” He smiled, his gums slightly showing. She smiled back, the heavy feeling inside of her somewhat weighing a ton more or so. 

"I'm happy for you too Hyukjae. Congratulations." It took all of her will power for her voice to not waver, trying her best to be happy in front of him even though in all honesty she's not. She’s supposed to support him in everything. After all, that's what a best friend does.
