Marics POV

After checking on Mamang (Grandma's way she wants to be addressed), I made my way to Ge-an. I saw her holding a frame on her hand, I wasn't sure what was running on her mind while starring at it although I could see there is confusion written all over her face.

As I got nearer, I notice what is in the frame that she is holding. I curve my lips up a bit when I realize something, now I know why she lock her eyes that long on the thing she was holding.

I went beside her and look at the frame before i speak "So that's it, what is why you look so familiar" I turned my gaze to her "You look like the man in grandma's painting" I said smiling

If you scan the room you can see that there is a lot of portraits of the family but drawings and paintings of the person who have the same face as Ge-an dominates the numbers, the art shows different angles of the face.

"Who is he?" Ge-an asked seriously which I found a little odd but I shrug the thought by answering her question

"Whenever we ask her, she will always just answer that it is her friend. . I can remember grandpa was so jealous of him" I said with a chuckle but she did not even laugh but instead

"Do you have any picture of her when your grandma is younger?" she asked curiously

I looked around and catches a small frame at the back of a larger frame that stand on a table making it not so visible in the area. "Ah here it is" I said getting the photo of my grandma and grandpa together

I hand it to her and she took it from my hand. She look at it intently with all seriousness in her face that made me curious but before I could ask anything we heard Aunt In calling us

"Marics!" Aunt shouted coming from the living room I guess

"Marics, Ge-an come here" she called again so we started to move towards her, I'll just save my question later

"I'm sorry this took so long" she said smiling while she puts the tray containing cookies and mango juice on a table

"Its okay aunt" I answered politely as I take our sit in the sofa while Ge-an followed and take a sit beside me

After some chat and munching on what Aunt prepared for us, she shove us away "Now, Go to your Mamang she might be waiting for you and Ge-an" giving me a meaningful look and smile

"Okay, okay we will now" I said laughing a little

The moment Ge-an stepped inside my grandmother's room, I saw how shock grandma was upon seeing Ge-an. Well I guess may be because she resemble the face of his friend in the sketches she made when she still can. But little did I know there is something more

Ge-an walk slowly towards my grandma, I trailed behind her and found so clueless of the things happened next.

Grandma reach her hand and Ge-an take it without hesitation before she kneel down in her knee and the other as support when she faces grandma sitting on her bed. I saw both of them so emotional and almost crying as they gaze into each other that made me dumbfounded at that moment.

Ge-an kissed her grandma's hand affectionately "Ge-an" grandma called her name softly "I waited for you" Ge-an turn her head upwards meeting her eyes "I have waited for so long. . . very, very very long... I kept my promise" grandma said almost breaking, now I am so very very confused what is happening

"Mamang, do you and  Ge-an know each other?" I asked full of curiosity, I couldn't take it any longer i am left behind by the two of them.

"Marics listen to the story that I am going to tell to Ge-an" Mamang answered

Mamang / Jasmine Cu POV

Ge-an kissed my hand affectionately "Ge-an" I called her name softly "I waited for you" Ge-an turn her head upwards meeting my eyes "I have waited for so long. . . very, very very long... I kept my promise" I said almost breaking but smiled today is December 15, 2017

"Mamang, do you and Ge-an know each other?" she asked full of curiously, I know she has a lot of question in her mind right now

"Marics listen to the story that I am going to tell to Ge-an" I answered

I take a deep breath and sigh deeply, today is the long awaited revelation about me, nobody knew about this either from my past nor present. No one from the family have ever heard of this, it will be the first time it will come out of my mouth. Today is the time for it.

"Everybody thought I perished completely" I started "But I was lucky enough to be alive, I was save by Ricard during that catastrophe" I looked at my granddaughter "the sad thing is. ." then i shift my eyes to Ge-an"I wasn't able to save the portrait of Ge-an that I have made" I said with a sad eyes but continued

"And may be because I almost died that day, that. . that made me don't want to remember the bad things that have happened. When I wake up I can't remember anything"

FLASHBACK 1

"What is your name?" he asked after putting aside the spoon and cup he used to feed me

" I am Richard, Captain Richard Cu"he said introducing himself

"May I know your name?" he asked with a smile

that put me into my thinking "I - I don't know" I answered as I couldn't find answer in my head

FLASHBACK 2

I am in the garden looking at a certain flower and hold it in my hand when

 "Jasmine"  I heard a manly voice behind me "I will call you Jasmine" he said as I turn around to face his direction "because you are beautiful as these Jasmine" he said with a smile that made me smile in return

END of FLASHBACK

"Starting that day, I was called Jasmine. Richard has taken good care of me, he was so kind and gentle" I smiled remembering him

"I fell in love with him and then after a year we got married and have been blessed with a beautiful daughter" That time in my life is one of the happiest thing that has ever happened

"I am happy with him, I became whole and there. . . my memories began coming back to my head"  but the first thing I have learned after gaining back my memory made me sad, I look at marics and saw that the confusion in her face is now gone and change into an understanding one

"I found out that my parents have died" I paused because I can still feel the pain of loosing them but then continue "and I got scared in returning back to Buena Vista because of the fear meeting Gaston but. . I returned Ge-an. . . I returned because. . . I was Jasmine Cu, the Jasmine that you are telling me who save your life" I said as i remember the incident when I pushed Ge-an away from the car that is about to hit her

"Until now I still couldn't believe it happened to us" Ge-an said smilling, she is now sitting beside me in the bed while marics is sitting across us "I don't know how we manage to talk over the telephone" she said with amusement in her eyes

"May be there is just things that would never be explained" I said laying my head on Ge-an's shoulder "Just like what happened to us,  It is part of our fate. It happened for reason without explanation" I raised my head from her shoulder and look at her face

"I have waited for so long for us to meet, for me to see you" I said holding her face affectionately with my left hand "And when I saw you, I knew that moment that I have to save you because it was destined even if it cost my life as long as you are alive, it will be enough for me" Ge-an hug me, tear escape from my eyes but I know it is tears of joy because my past is clear now.

I look at Marics and signal her to come closer to me, i reach for her hand with my left while my other holds Ge-an's hand. I put Marics hand over Ge-an's enclosing it and said "Everything that happen is part of destiny, even in Love. . True love don't see no time, don't see no ending." I let go of their hand holding as they stare into each other's gaze with all the happiness and love in their face.

SOMEONE's POV

I am standing at the fountain Garden looking at the view in front of me.

"Many things Could happen in the movement of Time but only One does not change. . . LOVE. it will always be there we just need to open our eyes for us to see it"  I said to myself as I feel the soft breeze touching my face

"Whether you believe me or not I am not impatient, I know she will eventually come and from that I will love her until the end of time."  I smile with this thought, this is the very first word that I said to my self when I set my foot here in Buena Vista

I felt a soft hands wrap around my waist and I know exactly who is the owner of this little hands that now holds my heart.

I turn around with her still holding me. I caress her beautiful face, It's like seeing someone for the first time, and we look at each other for a few seconds before I said "You met me at a very strange time in my life, I still can't fully believe things like that could really happened"

"Aren't you okay with it? she asked raising her left eyebrow

"I'm just... happy. I've never felt this before. I'm just exactly where I want to be."  I answered looking deeply into her eyes

"And where is that?" She asked again with a warm smile

"Here with you, I realize if you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest to start as soon as possible" I said as I pull her into my embrace "I Love You Marics" feeling the every word I speak

"I Love You too Ge-an" she said as the same way she answered my tight embrace.

"Some called it choice but for Me, Marics and Maria we called it Destiny."

"You don't have to understand. You just have to have faith... faith in destiny."
