June 6, 2017 – NO POV

“Argg, Arggghhh! Explain Please! Is this still part of earth? Dead spot, this is a New phone and there is no signal what a waste, How am I gonna make a call?” He continues speaking as he shrugs Ge-an’s left shoulder “If I knew, If only I knew that this is the kind of Place that we are going  then maybe I would have gone along to Japan with mom and dad” he said dramatically

That made Ge-an turn around to her brother “Have you forgotten? They went there to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary! Your just gonna be a nuisance there.” She said with authority in her voice

Gennrei was about to say something but Lei cuts him “Hey Ge-an we have been on the road for 2 hours and a week already and we don’t see any good spot for a vacation.” with his sarcastic voice

After another half hour

Their Van full over in front of a Big Ancestral house, It is huge, Old but in Great condition And you can say that this kind of house is owned by a wealthy family in the past, It has a big garden with beautiful roses on the sides and I believe it can be used for big party and any occasions. It also has a garge that I think can fit up to 20 cars.

An old Lady welcome them with a Big smile as they enter the place “Would you like to take a rest or eat first?” she ask cheerfully

“Rest first Manang” Ge-an return a small smile and continue walking

“Okay” she answered

“Eat first! I want to eat first” Lei complain then “the drive was very long aren’t you hungry?” he asked

Ge-an the just give him an Okay sign and continue to went upstairs

While Gennrei on the other hand is holding his phone suddenly smile “yes there’s a reception” he said happily

“Help them getting their things upstairs” Manang ask her granddaughter

She smiles to her grandmother “Yes grandma” Then she picks up the bags on the side but 1 bag fell on the floor

“ my camera” Gennrei blurted

She look at him “Oh Sir I’m sorry” She said apologetically and tried to pick it up

“Stop that! Give me those” He said and took his bag from the girl then he walks a little further and just gave her an arrogant look.

she just sighed and walks to the kitchen

Ge-an  POV

As I walk on the old shiny staircase I saw how elegant the house is, it has been take good care very well and maintained its cozy and beautiful looks despite its age. At the end of the stairs there is a short hallway with old paintings hanging on the wall, at the end of the hall I saw an old picture of the structure of the house when suddenly I feel something so I turn around slowly cause I feel like there is someone playing the Grand piano on the corner . . .

I am playing the piano Forever and ever By Demis Roussos when suddenly I feel something is watching me so I turn around . . .

then I was startled when someone call me “my lady” she is peeking and revealing only half of her body

 “Oh It is just you Luz” and I gave her a smile

June 6, 2017 Ge-an  POV

I was just staring at the piano and there is nothing, I don’t know why but I walk closer and sit in front of and play small intro portion of Forever and ever By Demis Roussos

The Next Day -  NO POV

Ge-an was standing outside an old church and taking pictures with her DSLR camera “Wooow so beautiful” she said with amazement tone but here cousin Lei “Not its not, Its so boring here”

She then tap her cousin shoulder and said “Instead of complaining it will be better if we  go in and lit some candles, lessen your sin couz”

Meanwhile

A girl is praying and lights her candle, afterwards she walks on the right side of the church going to her grandmother. She notices that her grandma is a little unease or may be we can say a little confused she turns around and she didn’t see someone they knew there is just a 1 woman with her 2 kids and 2 guys who is lighting a candle that facing them backward so she didn’t mind and continue to assist her grandma going out of the church.

Ge-an POV

We our walking in the aisle of the church going to the place for candles while my cousing keeps on complaining “Don’t you pray at night?” “You can pray in the house?” Do we really need to go here?”

I didn’t mind his complain and just ask him “Do you have a coin?”

“I don’t have” he answered quickly

I sigh “how can I get candles?”

He chuckles a while saying “Just get one and just make a confession about it”

Its kinda embarrassing but I don’t have a choice so I took 1 candle slowly and lit it up as I say my prayers and sorry”

“THANK YOU LORD” my cousin blurted as he sees 2 girls walk passes us

“Hey, where inside a church” I restraint him but then

He speaks louder “woo nice this is the Release of iphone” he clicks the screen and saw the wallpaper “ and the owner looks nice too” I got curious and took the phone from him “she’s mine” he said as I look at the picture “I’m the one who found it, that’s mine”

I move away from him I said “wait” as he tried to take it back “wait a moment” I repeat

I look at picture more closely and I hear him say “But if you like the owner is yours but the cellphone is mine. I just smile as I look at the picture

As we walk out of the church he keeps on bugging me “You know I don’t understand you anymore. .” he paused a little bit “until now you still haven’t got a girlfriend, it looks you’re not interested are you really a tom?” he asked while raising his left eyebrow but then continue “Your Cabrera, use your charm”

Hahaha I laughed at him “couz liking womens are not a game or activity that can be a hobby”

I pointed my right index finger to me“like me for an example, If I am going to like somebody I want it to be the one, the one that I’m gonna spend my whole life with” I said as I look at him seriously

He look at me intensely “spend with your whole life with?” he asked and with a scolding voice“Where are you going to find that one here? Girls here either looks like an old maid or a monster” his 2 hands holding his waist

I only let go of a soft chuckle as an answer

His neck twist 360 to the direction of a woman “Its seems I have mistaken couz, Not everyone here, did you see that chick?” he said with a smile

“Well I guess I am still that appealing and popular” as he saw 4 girls talking and looking at our direction

He stretch his arms “You know me Lei Cabrera, teen idol heartthrob-- ”

“Before” I cut him “that has been 10 years ago, haven’t you accept that?” I said with a teasing smile and continue taking pictures

He made me turn when he said proudly “well, well, well, look at this”

2 teenagers approach us “Hello po!” they greet in unison

“Can we ask for an autograph” girl 1 ask shyly

“Sure, sure no problem. Do you have pen” He said with a wide smile “What do you want me to write?”

The 2 girls raise their hands “Oh no, not for us, it’s for our mother and my aunty” he laugh awkwardly

I just look at them whlile my right hand is under my chin to the front of my mouth as I hold my laughter

 “They said that they were your fan when you were still popular”

“Haha” he fake a smile “of course”

That’s what happened when you are arrogant hahaha *Evil laugh in my mind

Then the 2 oldies went near him and greeted him warmly.

I Tap his shoulder with a teasing smile “Bye, I leave you with them haha” and I immediately walk away leaving him with uneasy and awkward feeling.

Ge-an is walking out of an alley thinking of going back home

She stopped and answers the call “Hello” then suddenly an old woman pushes her away

*Booogsh*

The old lady has been hit by a fast moving car

Ge-an get up from the ground immediately as she saw the old lady laying on the street. “Grandma”

She runs towards the old lady “Grandma” she hold her in her arms and removes the thin black hood that covers her face. The old lady just look at Ge-an for 2 seconds and loses her consciousness.

At the Hospital

Ge-an POV

I was waiting outside the Emergency Trauma Unit when a lady come running to the Nurse station

“Excuse me nurse!? Where is Mrs.Daisy Cu?” she asked in a panicked voice

“she is still inside, Just wait for the Doctor Ma’am” the Nurse answered

I stand up and approach her “Are you Lanie Cu? The one the nurse calls on the phone?  It’s a good thing she has your number in her bag by the way I’m Ge-an, I brought her here” I said in a calm manner

she pauses a little while before answering me “No. . Lanie Cu is my mother she just called me, I am Marics Cu” and she smile faintly

she looked at me closely “you look very familiar to me, have we met before?”

I shake my head “No, but you are more familiar to me.” I smile and as I show her phone I said “I found your phone in the church this morning”

“Ooh so you found it” she smiled back at me

“we-“ I was about to say something when the nurse call our attention “Relative of patient Cu, the Doctor wants to see you” we both turn our head to the trauma unit

“how is she Doc?” Marics asked worriedly

“She is still unconscious, we need to do CT scan to make sure there is No brain damage. We will be transferring the patient for us to observe her condition closely”

“when will she woke up?” I asked

“To tell you the truth we are not sure, it can be day, weeks or months; she is in a critical condition aside from the impact her age also worsen her condition” He said

NO POV

After grandma has been transferred to the ICU Ge-an and Marics went to a small café in front of the hospital, Only few people are there and the calm ambiance gives them a little comfort, they we’re seating across each other in the right side corner of the cafe with Ge-an holding a cup of Hot coffee in her right hand while Marics have Mocha frappe and a slice of a chocolate cake.

“Ge-an thank you but you don’t have to bother yourself, bringing my grandma to the hospital when she got hit is enough help already” she said while slicing her cake

Ge-an look up at her “No, I should be the one thanking, she save my life” she sip a little of coffee and look at her straight in the eyes “will pay all the hospital bill for grandma”

“It’s okay, you don’t have to do that” Marics said

“I insist it’s the least that I can do and if you don’t mind can you call or text me for an update on her condition?” she said seriously

She just Nod “Okay, I will”

After finishing their coffee Marics went back to the hospital to arrange some things while Ge-an went home and promise to come back tomorrow.
