Im Jindeok had bounced from city to city, town to town and school to school for most of her life. Her mother's job kept them on the move for as long as Jindeok could remember, except for those two years when she was twelve and thirteen. Jindeok's mom got remarried to a kind man, Mr. Byun, who had a son that was just a little older than Jindeok. Baekhyun was a popular boy at their school and it was hard for the girl to connect with her step-brother, that was until The Eve came out and he began to play it on the family computer.

“What are you doing oppa?” Jindeok asked when she came downstairs one Saturday.

“Trying to create an account,” he huffed. Baekhyun leaned back in the computer chair as he ran a hand through his tousled bedhead while staring at the screen in front of him.

“For what?” she inquired standing at his shoulder.

“A new game. I can't come up with a username. I want something simple yet catchy,” he said cocking his head to the side.

The two middle schoolers were quiet for a moment as they stared at the info screen to The Eve.

“Spotlight,” Jindeok suddenly said.

“Huh?” Baekhyun looked up at her.

“Spotlight. Simple, but has all the attention.”

A grin spread across Baekhyun's face as his hands reached for the keyboard. “I like it. Thanks Jindeok!”

“No problem oppa.”

That was probably the closest they ever got before their parents got divorced and the two families went their separate ways.
