"Welcome to Neitherland," the guy smiled, leading him out of the boat with hand stretched out to help him.

"You shouldn't look at the river, you're not supposed to see this." The guy covered his eyes with his hand. Warmness crept on Tao's back from the hug.

"You can't go back, you're safe with us. This is your place, your new house." The taller guy smiled tightly.

"We're not twins." They said in unison, Tao chuckled softly.

"You're not dead," the eldest's deep voice caressed his ears painfully.

"Not yet." The shorter one kissed Tao's cheek fondly.
