The Reason
Ice Flower in LoveThe taxi stopped at the front of a big hospital. You paid the driver, glanced everywhere suspiciously, and after you were sure no one noticed you, you ran inside the hospital.
You came to the receptionist desk. A friendly-looking woman greeted you with a warm smile.
“Annyeonghasaeyo. Can I help you?” you smiled back and handed her your patient journal. She glanced to the journal.
“Old patient?” she asked. You nodded.
“Please wait a minute.” she smiled, and started inserting some data from your journal to the computer. After a while, she handed the journal back to you.
“Please go to the second floor.” she said. “Do you need any other help?” she asked, smiling.
“No, thank you.” you smiled back and headed to the second floor. You went to the section you were appointed to smoothly, already memorizing the way.
You arrived at the place then greet the nurse who was busy writing at her desk.
“Nurse Choi!” you called her, smiling. She glanced up and automatically smiled back after noticing you.
“____ah. It’s been very long after the last time you came.” she nagged. You grinned at her nagging.
“I still have my pills.” you defended yourself. She shook her head, disagree.
“Here your queue number. You came too late today.” she handed you a piece of card with number 27 written on it. Your eyes widened to the number.
“Number 27? Seriously?” you shrieked. Nurse Choi simply shrugged.
“What can I say? Your doctor is very popular.” she winked at you. “Please wait at the waiting area.” she added with a professional tone. You nodded, mumbled to yourself, then went to an empty chair.
