a slight ringing echoing in his ears was the only sound baekhyun could hear as he stumbled out of the main cottage and into the forest. unbeknownst to him, a pair of dark eyes had been following his every move as they too trailed shortly behind him. 

the alcohol had completely taken over his system, controlling his every move and thought. he eventually found his way to a tall oak tree, in which he decided to lay himself against in order to regain some strength after who knows how long he had been out there. his eyes slowly began to flutter shut, exhaustion finally taking over his body. 

the sound of footsteps were inaudible to baekhyun, unable to alarm him of the body approaching him slowly but the presence of a man in front of went unnoticed. his heart stopped for a second before he slightly recognized the blurry face of wu shi xun. shi xun stood in front of him with a look of concern as he quickly knelt down to reach baekhyun's level.

"hey, baek are you okay?? what are you doing out here it's freezing!! c'mon up lets get you back to our cabin and get some rest yeah?" shi xun whispered softly, treating him with extra care as he cupped his cold cheek. baekhyun found himself blushing from the small gesture, but was aware the cold wind was the true meaning behind his flush. 

whether it was the alcohol or not, baekhyun acted in a way he would /never/ if he were sober. he reached up and held on to the hand cupping his cheek, slightly leaning into the warmth shi xun's hand was giving off. "stay with me" he whispered almost too quietly for the taller to hear. 

what baekhyun did not know was that shi xun was utterly in love with him, incredibly so. shi xun felt his heart come to an abrupt stop before it continued to rapidly beat. the heat travelled across his cheeks as he thought up a response. "b-baek what are you saying??" he stuttered, as he slowly cupped both of his cheeks, desperately searching baekhyun's glistening eyes for some sort of answer, a sign. 

baekhyun brought his hands slowly up to shi xun's neck, pulling himself up towards him as he dug his face into the latter's neck. intoxicated by the sweet smell, the small boy began to lay short, wet kisses in the nap of his neck, earning him a groan from the taller.

"don't leave me, shi xun."

unable to stop himself, shi xun grabbed baekhyun's petit waist, pulling it flush against his own hot body. his hands snuck underneath the boy's shirt, traveling against the smooth skin as he continued to press baekhyun harder against himself. baekhyun mewled underneath his touch, rolling his head back a bit before bringing their lips together in a heated kiss. 

the forest was filled with soft moans as the two continued to kiss, lust evident as baekhyun gripped onto the latter's hair, occasionally biting onto shi xun's kiss swollen lips.

shi xun pushed the petite boy down onto the grass, asserting his role as the dominant one of the two as he shoved his tongue in the pliant boy's willing mouth. baekhyun let out a loud moan, slightly ing his hips up in want of something more. shi xun couldn't help but let out a particularly loud groan, ending the kiss so he could whisper in baekhyun's ear.

"you're driving me crazy baby"

the small boy whined, "please, please, please..." as he felt his plump being kneaded by the tall boy. shi xun began to on his neck, divulging in the boy once more. he teased the boy by biting on his neck, on the spot after to make it feel better. baekhyun could feel the bruises starting to form across his neck but the pleasure was taking over his entire body. he couldn't feel any of the pain, and if he did he loved every second of it.

in the back of his head, there was a tiny voice reminding shi xun that baekhyun was not in the right state of mind. no matter how much he wanted it, he knew it was extremely wrong to take it any further. hey may have been in love with baekhyun, but he had no idea if he felt the same way. he wanted there to be no filter of lust, only their pure emotions whenever they were together, and this was not it. 

to baekhyun's disappointment, shi xun began to slow down from the needy, lust driven kisses to now slow, soft kisses that still made his head spin. suddenly shi xun pulled away and chuckled to see baekhyun's eyes fluttering shut. it was inevitable that sleep would eventually take over the small boy's body and so it did. 

shi xun let the boy snuggle up in his arms and he picked him up and began to make the walk back to their cabin. baekhyun began to snore halfway through and shi xun could feel his heart begin to thump. although he did enjoy their heated make out session, taking care of the sleepy boy made him just as content. before exiting the forest, he made sure nobody was out before he made his way toward the boy's cabin. he snuck right in, trying to make the least amount of noise as possible as he tucked baekhyun into his bed. he leaned down to kiss the smaller's cold cheek before tip toeing back out and into his own cabin.

as soon as he closed the door, sehun couldn't help but let a goofy grin grow on his face. sleep was almost impossible, as he was too excited to get up in the morning to see the beautiful boy once again. after months of being unknown to baekhyun, this was an extreme amount of progress for him and he was /so/ happy.

the next morning shi xun woke up feeling like he was on top of the world. he quickly got up and dressed to look as best as he possibly could, and then dashed into the kitchen in hopes to be there before baekhyun. he sat there looking a bit of an idiot as he anxiously waited the boys arrival. as soon as he spotted baekhyun, he stood up and walked towards him with a bright smile on his face.

but baekhyun did not even spare shi xun a glance. he walked by him as if he weren't standing there in the first place. baekhyun made his way towards minseok, greeting him with a good morning and a slight smile.

shi xun felt his heart drop. there was no way baekhyun did not remember. but the same voice in the back of his head told him it was purely the alcohol. baekhyun would never spare him a minute in his day. it was foolish of him to think they shared a special moment. he had completely forgotten who he was. he was no longer a part of baekhyun's life, as much as he wanted to believe so.

as the tears filled his eyes, he stormed out of dining hall, needing to get as far away as possible from the staring eyes, and the man who held his heart. baekhyun looked up as soon as the door had slammed shut but paid no more attention as he looked away and continued his conversation with minseok.

2 years later

byun baekhyun was the definition of ordinary. he lived a basic life, revolving only around his studies and occasionally his best friend minseok. he was in his junior year at seoul tech, hoping to major in graphic design. 

his life was simple. get up, go to school, eat, study, sleep, repeat. in his free time, he often doodled in his notebook, or went out to play video games with minseok. although minseok was his only friend, he was not lonely, or so he tried to convince himself. he enjoyed his peaceful life, it was exactly how he wanted to live. but of course it wasn't always that great. one person had managed to make himself a part of his life and definitely not in a good way.

wu shi xun. baekhyun's mortal enemy. he had no idea what he did in his past life to piss this man off, but shi xun seemed to be after him. as a graphic design major like himself, they shared many of the same classes. which meant the two shared more time together than necessary. 

it all had started the summer after their freshman year camping trip. as soon as they came back, it was as if it was an every day competition for shi xun. whatever baekhyun would do he would do it better, ten times so. he often made snarky remarks under his breath whenever he would pass by him, ultimately infuriating the smaller. and whenever the opportunity came, he would correct any mistakes baekhyun would make, earning himself praises from the professor and a scolding for baekhyun after class.

he would rather eat a whole cucumber than to go up and attempt to have a civilized conversation with shi xun. the tall boy was full of hate and there was nothing he could do but try to ignore him and continue on his day.

but life hated baekhyun. 

today baekhyun sat in the back of class, as far away as possible from shi xun. he opened up his sketch book and attempted to drown out the voice of his professor as he began to explain the next partnered project. baekhyun became lost in his own thoughts but was brought back as soon as he heard the professor shout his name.

"y-yes" he stammered, quickly looking up only to see shi xun turned around, leaning on the back of his chair with a stern look on his face, worse than usual. baekhyun swallowed the lump in the back of his throat as he processed what the professor had just announced.

"your partner is wu shi xun. i expect your very best."

baekhyun nodded and quickly brought his eyes back down to his sketchbook, avoiding shi xun's piercing gaze. he sat there mentally cursing out his professor for bringing him hell upon earth.

baekhyun had gone above and beyond to avoid interacting with the devil himself. but no matter what he did, the jerk always ended up ruining his mood. it was barely tolerable to hear his snarky remarks and insults but to spend actual time with him alone? he couldn't possibly survive.

he let out a loud, deep sigh just as the bell had rung, signaling that class was over. baekhyun tried as fast as he could to pack his things and run out of there, but ended up dropping most of his things on the floor. as he was frantically packing up, shi xun made his way over to his desk, coughing as soon as he was right in front of a startled baekhyun.

he tossed a sheet of paper on his desk, "that's my address and my number. we start work tomorrow. show up or don't that's up to you but just know that i’m not turning in a pile of . with or without you i’m getting this done." shi xun sternly spoke, giving baekhyun yet another icy stare. quickly he turned around and walked off, leaving baekhyun slightly pissed and with his mouth agape.

"what a dickhead."
