Caught in the fray,
But I'm a fool for you,Hi guys, this will be a short chapter to make progress with the whole Mdm Lee issue. Mm, most of this chapter will be focused on the Mdm Lee-Youngrae struggle. Well actually Taemin only appears in the last two paragraphs, so you guys might like to skip to the second last paragraph if you don’t want to read about Mdm Lee. But I’m hoping you do, of course, because It’s my effort :’’’’’’( Okay, off you go with chapter fourteen!
Your POV
“Oh, it’s you. Hello there, we meet again,” Mdm Lee said and took a step forward. I was about to take a step backward when I realized my back was against a wall. So I slid sideways behind the vaults which towered over me
“Why do you always seem unhappy to see me?” she asked, her voice filled with forlorn and melancholia. I moved out of my hiding place to get a better view of Mdm Lee. She had grown thinner since the last time I saw her. Her eyes no longer shone with a twinkle, like they had in the many photographs my mom had shown me. They were dull, sunken and blood-shot. Her skin was yellow and parched, and when she smiled, a thin crease formed at the corner of her eyes. Mdm Lee looked…broken. I felt a twinge at my heart and found myself feeling sorry for my father’s mistress. But that did very little in relieving the anger I’d felt towards her. “So, this woman was aware that she had been the cause of my father’s estrangement from us,” I thought bitterly while fighting back tears. It hurt to think about my father, and it was worse to grieve over him all over again.
“You never introduced me to your children. Why? I would have liked to dote on them as if they were my own!” she exclaimed and fell onto her knees.
I finally broke down at that sentence.
“My brother and I don’t need you to dote on us. We were doing great without you in our lives!” I said, my volume increasing a notch with every word I let out. I was grief-stricken and furious at the same time, when I thought about my family, and how the woman sitting in front of me had shattered it into smithereens. Mdm Lee looked up at me and hiccoughed.
“Jang Youngjun. He was my father,” I whispered in spi
