Jessica's POV


The sound of jingling keys were clear.

She's finally home.

I took a deep breath, and told myself.

This is it. I can do it.





Taeyeon's POV




I got the door opened and realized lights in our room was dimmed.

Is she still up?

As I walked in, I saw a luggage parked by the door.

I wondered if she's flying again tonight.

But then again, she never told me of her work scheduled today.

Well, maybe it's a last minute thing.

I peeped through the door, and true enough, she wasn't asleep.




Jessica's POV



'You're back.' I said.

'I had a -'

'Meeting right?'

'I figured, it has to be a multi-million project for you to have meetings that ends early in the morning almost everyday for the past months.'

'Are you doubting me?'

'Should I?'

She looked at me before turning away.

My heart wrenched.

I got off the bed and gave her a back hug.

'I miss you.' I whispered seductively.

I meant every word.

I do miss her.

And it aches to do so.

She held on to my hands on her tummy and said.

'Jess, I'm tired. Maybe next time.'

Next time? 

How many has she said that for the past weeks?

'I'll let you rest. But let me just hold you and make sure.'



Taeyeon's POV



She's acting really weird right now.

She's not herself.

I turned my head around to look at her.

'Make sure of what?'

She's making me nervous.

And I never expected her next words.

'That you sound like a coward and you smell like that .'

I turned around and tried to rebut. 

'What are you-'

'Don't take me for a fool Taeyeon.'

'Don't think I'm stupid when all I've been waiting is for you to confess and explain.'



Jessica's POV



I never meant so shed a tear.

But how could I hold back when the person I hold closely to heart is sleeping with my very own best friend.

'Jess..'

Slap.

'Don't ever touch me again.'



Taeyeon's POV



I never knew she's figured it out.

I never meant to hurt her.

But things just happened and escalated.

Tiffany just happened.

I tried again.

'Jess..'

'We're through Taeyeon. And tell that of a best friend I have not to appear in my face.'

She walked out.

Out the door.

Out of my life.

And I never went after her.
