“Why are you here?”
Moonkyu had a hard time believing the kid would return to the club because he missed him or because he needed a job. Actually, he was sure that after that fantasy night, he would never see him again. But he somehow got through the back door – again – and no one stopped him from reaching him, not even the security guy out for a smoke with the other girls. At this point, Moonkyu applauded his abilities, until his boss came around and pinched the kid’s cheeks. Moonkyu had to get the obnoxious man off the kid and apologize in his name. He most likely slipped in unnoticed due to his good looks, confused as someone that belonged there.
“I don’t know.”
However, Moonkyu did not expect to hear that kind of vague reply. He guessed he might have come to thank him again for his help or to ask him something – made much more sense than his first two suppositions. Moonkyu also questioned the way the kid sat on his chair and blankly stared at him as if a better answer would fall from the sky any moment now.
“Got not parents?”
“They’re at work.”
“Cram school?”
“Not into it.”
“Everybody your age goes to cram school.”
“I don’t.”
What a weird kid. Moonkyu leaned against his working table and crossed his arms over his chest, the salmon kimono loosely hanging off his lean body. Silver Japanese Koi fish swirled down his legs and around his forearms.
“Where did you get that?”
“What?”
He pointed at his outfit. Moonkyu glanced at the pattern.
“This? It’s old.”
“It’s pretty.”
