Namjoon takes in the scene in front of him and shakes his head, "Really?"

Joy looks at him and groans, "It hurts..."

"Of course it does. Why you ate so much?" He shakes his head.

Joy is lying on her bed with her mid-section exposed.

"It is an'ther Baby-ah?" Aera asks curiously. She is sitting beside Joy and staring at her belly.

"Aeraaaa..." Joy whines.

Namjoon laughs out, "Yes, silly. That is food baby. It happens when you eat a lot!!"

"Namjoon! Stop harassing her now!!" Noel enters with a cup in her hand, "Here, my dear. Drink this concoction and it will help you!"

He rolls his eyes, "Yeah, sure. She will eat so much of  barbeque and croquettes and I will get scolded for that!!" He walks out of her room and his phone rings.

He looks at the caller name and stops. The surprise and confusion can be made out from his face. He turns to look at Joy's door and then at his cell phone. He answers, "Hello?"

"Hello... Kim Namjoon? I want to meet you..." Seokjin replies from the other side.

Namjoon looks up at the building. He has not informed anyone about this meetup. Seokjin has asked him not to. Though he had said that he was going out. He can guess for whom Seokjin would call him here but why, that is still unknown. Especially this place...it has to be very important. He tries to keep himself calm and walks in. He is asked to go to a cabin. He finds the door and knocks.

"Come in." 

He enters to find Seokjin with a man. 

" Hello, Mr. Kim. I am Dr. Tan. I am Mrs. Irene's..."

"Psychiatrist. I know..." Namjoon shakes his hand and exchanges a nod with the other guy.

"Please have a seat."

They sit on the couches and Namjoon looks at them, "May I know the reason behind this meetup?"

Dr. Tan nods, "Yes. I've heard about how you had helped Mrs. Irene to cry. I'd like to show my appreciation towards you for helping her. It was getting too difficult for me and her physician. So, you helped us a great deal."

Namjoon does not know what to say, so, he keeps silent.

"We've asked you to come here to discuss about Mrs.Irene."

He looks at them in a bit shock, "Why?"

"Considering your deep connection and shared childhood with Mrs. Irene, we thought you could help us again." Dr. Tan says without beating around the bush.

"Yes, I'd definitely help you but I need to know what is going on." Namjoon says in a worried tone.

"Well..." The two men look at each other, "Mrs. Irene has increased her visits to the Bae mansion. Is that right?"

"Yes. I mean that is her own home and she needs to meet her niece." Namjoon answers, confused.

Dr. Tan nods, "Yes, but we think it is not the only reason."

"What? What do you..." His eyes shot up, "Are you out of your mind?! Are you indicating that she is visiting to meet me or we are having a relationship?!" He is getting furious.

Dr. Tan quickly shakes his head, "Oh no! Please do not misunderstand. We are not saying anything about you but..."

"But you think Irene is trying to do something like that?!" He asks annoyed.

"Yes." This time Seokjin answers.

Namjoon blinks, "Why would you think that?! I mean she has never tried to initiate..." Suddenly he remembers their past few meetings. Irene had tried to make him recall their time  together, how they could have been if they were together and her comparison about their "imaginary" baby and Deiji...He has thought she is being too emotional and weak. Well, no one can blame her though.

"Sure, she has not. Can you please tell us what she had said to you? I mean I really need to know what is going on in her mind. " Dr. Tan opens a diary.

Namjoon looks at them bewildered and begins to narrate all their meetings, from the studyroom to Joy's room that morning.

Seokjin sits there sadly, listening to the deep feelings Irene has conveyed to Namjoon.

After explaining all in details, Namjoon asks, "What is actually happeneing?"

The doctor looks at Seokjin who nods, "Mr. Kim...Mrs. Irene has been missing out on her weekly appointment with me. It has been 4 weeks and she never reschedules. Today was her 4th appointment."

Namjoon feels shocked. He knows about her treatment. "What?!"

"Yes. She has been hiding it from me and whenever I give her a lift, she gets inside the building. But does not get inside his cabin. Dr. Tan had informed me after her third missed appointment and we wanted to wait and see if she does it again. She did and this time she even refused to have me drive her. Instead, she went to meet Joy and the kids. She came back home in the early afternoon. When I asked her, she said she went to meet Dr. Tan after visiting the Bae mansion." Seokjin rubs his forehead.

"But she did not come here?" Namjoon asks carefully.

"No. She did not." Dr. Tan shakes his head, "We do not know where she went from the Bae mansion and what she was doing in those hours."

"Why don't you ask her?" Namjoon looks at Seokjin.

He smirks ruefully, "Really, Kim Namjoon?! You are asking this question?! It is Bae JooHyun we are talking about!! I go ask her a simple and nice little question, she could end up accusing me of murder!! You know how impulsive and headstrong she is!!"

"Yes, Mr. Kim. Her violent temperament is no secret. She has been on anti-depressants for years, even before her pregnancy. On top of that she has stopped taking her meds for weeks now and is only on sleeping pills."

"WHAT?! AND WE ARE HERE HAVING CONVERSATIONS ABOUT HER BUT NOT DOING ANYTHING?!" He stand up and lashes at Seokjin violently, "YOU!! YOU CLAIM TO LOVE HER BUT DOES NOT KNOW IF SHE IS EVEN TAKING HER MEDS OR NOT?! THIS IS HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF HER?!"

"OH! PLEASE!! KIM NAMJOON, YOU ATLEAST DO NOT LECTURE ME ON TAKING CARE OF MY WIFE!!! YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN YOUR HOME?!"

"Please, both of you stop yelling and listen. Let's talk like matured adults here! Please..." Dr. Tan tries to calm them down.

"OHH!! ATLEAST YOUR  BABY SISTER AT MY PLACE IS NOT POPPING IN ANTI-DEPRESSANT OR SLEEPING PILLS!! SHE IS FREE TO DO WHATEVER SHE LIKES!!" Namjoon retorts back.

"OH YEAH!? ARE YOU TWO EVEN MARRIED?!" Seokjin has lost control on his mouth.

"DID YOU JUST INDICATE THAT PARK SOOYOUNG IS MY MISTRESS?! IS THAT WHAT YOU MEANT?!" Namjoon is seething now.

Seokjin realizes what he has just said and his face reddens in embarassment. He is remorseful and it is worse as he has said such an awful thing infront of a third person.

Dr. Tan did not pay any attention to that and asks the men to sit down again. He walks to his mini-fridge and gets some chilled water for them.

"I am...sorry." Seokjin is avoiding eye-contact with Namjoon.

Namjoon rolls his eyes and snorts.

"Mr. Kim Namjoon...Mr. Seokjin has tried his level best to take care of her. He has always made sure she is taking her meds. But it was just these few weeks he had to go abroad. She is not even taking the meds her gynaec had prescribed. Now, yes, one could ask why we are not confronting her. But just as Mr. Seokjin has said and you know it too that her mood swings are so strong. She is so unpredictable. The thing is we got to know last week that she is avoiding her meds but actually she has been doing it for 4 weeks. So we do not know what effect this has on her. I am going to meet her at their home tomorrow and Mr. Seokjin will pretend he did not know what she is doing. It will be safe for him. And..."

"Safe for him?! You are saying that as if she is someone harmful?!" Namjoon cannot believe what the doctor is saying.

Seokjin snorts, "Kim Namjoon...You know her like as that 22 years old Bae Joohyun who is stubborn, ill- tempered, childish, selfish and a trouble-maker. You have no idea about the 27 years old Kim Bae Joohyun who is ruthless, violent and unyielding. You have never seen her jealous side. She has always got what she has ever wanted. And..." He smirks, "and you know that so well, what she can do to get what she wants. I mean, you were always there to fulfil them at any cost. At first, it was her father who gave into all her wishes. Then you who would even kill  or get killed for her. Then..." He looks down and smiles sadly, "came Kim Seokjin...who is still doing his best just to keep her happy. You know...in this five years I've seen suh layers within her that sometimes I do not know who am I married to..." He sighs, "Yes, she can prove to be harmful for me. She can be harmful for Aera, Joy and Deiji. For even you. There have been nights, I remember she did not even close her eyes. I still love her very much and I feel guilty that somewhere because of me she is suffering. I tried for years and willing to keep trying.

"If you think she is so unhappy with you, then why are still with her?" Namjoon asks him angrily.

"Cuz I thought I could make her happy. I was wrong. I did everything but..." He sighs, "Nothing or no one can makee her happy except you..."

"So...will you let her go if that can make her happy?" Namjoon clears his throat.

Seokjin snorts, "No."

"Why?!" Namjoon asks him, confused.

"I...I may have considered it if..." He looks at him straight,"If Joy was not with you. You were back, I could have given up seeing the yearning and love in Irene's eyes for you. But by then she got pregnant and you had eloped with Joy. So I stayed back thinking about our child and also Joy's happiness...or whatever new life she got with you. Then when we lost our daughter, Joy was pregnant with yours. Not to forget Irene's infertility. No matter how modern we are, if we got divorced then everyone would have said that she got dumped cuz of that condition. A condition which is not her fault. It would have been very difficult for her to survive in this society. So I had to be there for her. I know she is able to support herself and everything but I just want to be there for her. She was our daughter after all. But she actually never needed me or my support. She only needed you. That is why she reacted only because of you that night. Now the main reason I won't leave her is Kim Deiji..."

"I am sorry?!" Namjoon looks at him in disbelief.

"Yes." He nods, "Kim Deiji. If we get divorced, she would move in to The Bae Mansion. You won't even realize when she would have rekindle your relationship. This time much more than friendship. This will result in your separation from Joy and as far I know my sister, she might just sign on those papers without any fight. Then the person who will suffer the most is that tiny human being who has nothing to do with all this mess. I cannot do that to my niece. I have heard that you care a great deal for your child. And I would like to keep it that way..."  

"Excuse me? Why would you think I would leave Park Sooyoung and Kim Deiji?!" Namjoon looks scandalized.

"You won't?" Seokjin sounds surprised.

"Never." He states.

"Good to know..." Seokjin sounds relieved, "Still I would not take any risk."

Mr. Tan has been listening to their exchange quietly and taking notes. When he sees their conversation is over, he clears his throat, "We are calling her dangerous cuz she has done some bizarre and harmful things in those previous few years. One time she fired almost 30 workers of their factory just for some trivial mistake. And few of them even tried to commit suicide."

Namjoon looks at them, stoned.

"Yes. I did not let the news spread and re-employed them. Luckily, no one died." Seokjin recalls the incident and shudders. It was just after their wedding.

Namjoon breaths out audibly. That is why he did not get to hear about it as Seokjin did not let the news leak.

"Also she can be abusive if angry. I think you have some idea..." Seokjin points out.

Namjoon nods once. Irene's ill temper is quite infamous among the maids of the households. She has become like this after her mother's death at a very young age. Her father tried to make her stop but couldn't. Only Namjoon could calm her anger.

" After your departure, it began, again. Throwing objects, yelling, sacking and sometimes holding their hands roughly." Seokjin shakes his head. He has argued with her many times and they have not talked for days due to that. The maids have been working there for long time and are loyal. So they do not reveal anything outside. 

"So it is all my fault?" Namjoon asks slowly. 

" No not your fault. But you are the reason." Dr. Tan shifts his glasses, "We are informing you as you know her so well. And please keep the children safe. Take care of Mrs. Kim and your old governess as well. We would talk to her tomorrow and then let you know what happens. Till then, stay alert."

Namjoon stands up and bows. He leaves the building with anymore words and drives to his home, "Oh God, Ren!! What are you doing?! What are you up to?!"

He gets into the mansion slowly. He is exhausted. He walks through the corridor and  hears laughter from Joy's room. His feet drags him to the door. He smiles faintly, watching the girls laughing and playing.

Joy looks well now and she is lying on the bed. Deiji is placed on her stomach and she is having her tummy time. She is raising her head to look at her mother and smiling. Aera is drawing something while sitting beside Joy.

"What are you drawing, Love?" Joy asks.

"I m dawing Baby-ah!!" She shows her picture.

"See Deiji!! Unni draws you!! What is that on her head?" She asks.

"This is cown!! Baby-ah is queen!! Poop queen!!"

"What?!" Joy laughs and another laughter makes them look at the door.

"Unkeel Nemjjun!!" Aera waves and Deiji begins to squirm seeing him.

Namjoon laughs and enters the room. He gets on the bed and makes Aera sit on his lap, "So? Why are you still awake?!"

"Cuz tomro there ish so sechool!!" Aera cheers and Deiji joins her.

"And Miss Kim...why are you awake?" He raises his eyebrow at Deiji.

Joy smiles at his way of calling Deiji, "Well, she must have thought to join her big sis for fun!!"

Deiji is halfway down Joy's torso to reach Namjoon.

"Fine!! Come here!" He picks her up and puts her on another side of his lap.

She look up at him in happiness.

"Why is Deiji poop queen?!' He ask Aera.

Aera explains, "Cuz she be pooping shhhooo mush... Stinky diap-ers!!!" she pinches her nose.

"Oh my!! Deiji!! Are you Poop Queen!!" Joy asks the baby.

She squeals and giggles in merriment.

"Well...I think he likes the name..." Namjoon shrugs and they all chuckle.

"How are you feeling now?" He asks her.

"I feel great!! The concoction really worked!! How was your meeting?" She asks.

"It was okay." He avoids talking about it.

Joy nods and looks at the girls, "It is too late now!! Sleep time!!"

Namjoon asks to stay back which she gleefully agrees to. He lies down to watch Aera gradually dozing off to Joy's bedtime stories and Deiji having her last meal of the day from her. He sighs slihtly and begins to think how to ask them to be aware of Irene. He cannot believe that such day has arrived where he has to stay alert of his Ren for people whom he has known for only few years....
