Jungkook had been woken up by the sound of his alarm clock and as he stretched to turn it off and sat up, he realised that this was the first time after so many months that he got a good night sleep. No nightmares, no night terrors, no sleep paralysis. Yeah. There was also that. He would have horrific nightmares filled with darkness and demons, and his mind would often wake up before his body did. So he would lay on his bed, struggling to breathe, not being able to move. He would just lay there until it passed.
But this night it was different. He felt unusually good. He didn’t feel tired or like he was just hit by a truck. He went to the bathroom and hopped into the shower, savoring the feeling of steaming hot water on his skin. About twenty minutes later, he got out, the warm sensation still lingering on his body, and put on a loose white shirt and some gray sweatpants. Just as he was about to leave his room, he heard Jin calling from the hallway, saying that breakfast was ready. He walked to the kitchen and sat down just as his brother came in. “Good morning hyung!” he exclaimed happily as Namjoon sat in the chair next to his. “Morning Kookie... You’re in a good mood... Did something happen?” his brother said, raising his eyebrow. “Nothing much... I just slept really well... That’s it.” Jungkook said, a big smile curving his lips. They spent the rest of the time talking about Namjoon's work, and all Jungkook could do is listen and feel sorry for his brother. He hated that the  most. You have an IQ of 148, you are the smartest person I know and I am sure other companies would kill to have you.” he said, frowning at his plate. He stuffed his mouth with bacon and eggs, trying to avoid having to answer the question. Seeing how his brother was staring at him, clearly waiting for Jungkook to answer, Jungkook just gulped down his food and sighed in surrender. He decided to go with the safe option and tell him what he told Jin. “ It was okay. I actually didn’t hate it. It was just a little awkward.
