2 - Questions.

Someone new.

Chapter two.

She woke up buried in a pile of covers and soft pillows, grunting loudly as soon as her eyes opened.

The room was spinning, but she could clearly see that there was a man who sat at the end of the bed, smiling cheekily at her.

"Finally!" He exclaimed with a laughter, obviously triggering Jihyun's headache.

She frowned, covering herself with the blanket, grunting even louder.

"Come on," Chanyeol said, "I have some medicine for you."

He stood up from the bed, grabbed a pill and a glass of water from the bookshelf before bringing it over to the nightstand next to her.

Jihyun pulled the blanked down hesitantly, looked at the pill and then up at Chanyeol.

"You're that guy from the bar," she said. "Where am I?"

Last night still seemed blurry.

"Well," Chanyeol spoke as she sat up. "You finished the whole bottle of whisky while you were telling me about this Jongin-guy," he said and watched her eyes widen as she gulped down the pill. "Then you passed out," he smiled.

She nodded slowly. "Where am I?"

"My house."

"Did we have ?"

"No."

"Thank God," Jihyun breathed out.

Eyeing him suspiciously, she bit down onto her bottom lip.

"Maybe don't bite your lip for a while," Chanyeol said, bending down to free her bottom lip gently with his thumb. "It bled a lot."

Flustered because of the sudden touch, Jihyun pulled back and sighed. "I don't remember anything," she said, frustrated.

"That's okay," Chanyeol stepped back as well and put his hands into his pockets, mentally reminding himself not to flirt so much.

Making his way to the closed door, Chanyeol laughed, "I'm sad that I have to leave now, but church is waiting for me... Breakfast is ready, by the way. You should eat." He grinned at her one last time as he opened the door, "You probably don't remember that you live here, right?"

Jihyun frowned, "What?"

"Yeah," Chanyeol nodded. "This is your room."

Her last night's clothes made it obvious that she drank whiskey and smoked a lot.

The people in the kitchen didn't have to hear her as her smell greeted them first.

"Oh," Jongdae scrunched up his nose but quickly fixed his facial expression.

Jihyun scratched the back of her head, "Hey..."

Sehun looked up from his morning coffee and sneered.

"Would you like some coffee?" Seorin smiled at her.

"I'll get you some clean clothes." Jongdae began to stand up.

"Oh, no," Jihyun sighed, "There's no need, I'm not planning to stay."

Jongdae turned to Seorin, both talking just with their eyes.

"I'm not sure what happened last night." Jihyun admitted.

"Get her some clean clothes, Jongdae. ..." Sehun laughed while shaking his head. Then he looked at her, "You smell so ing much."

Jihyun simply squeezed out a little chuckle as she shrugged her shoulders.

Jongdae looked at Seorin for another moment, nudging her to talk to Jihyun before he left.

"So," Seorin smiled again, "Coffee?"

"Let's go smoke, stinker." Sehun began to stand up as he locked eyes with Jihyun.

This was the best anyone could offer. Jihyun didn't really care about her clothes and she didn't really want any coffee. She was hungover and her head was throbbing. She wanted a cigarette and some silence.

Sitting on the only chair that was in the balcony, Jihyun lit a cigarette and looked up at Sehun. "I can't really feel my legs, but if you want I could stand up and let you sit."

Sehun just shook his head.

After a few minutes of pure silence, he decided to start a conversation.

"There's only one chair because I'm the only one who smokes here," he said. "But I guess we will have to get another chair, huh? I heard you decided to move in here."

Jihyun gulped, "Who exactly did I speak to about this?"

"Chanyeol." Sehun said.

Jihyun didn't really know if that was the guy's who gave her medicine name, but she nodded.

"Well," taking another drag of the cigarette, she smiled ironically, "I don't have any other place to live-"

"I know." Sehun interrupted, "Your boyfriend is an ."

"How-"

"You told us all yesterday."

Jihyun frowned at his habit to interrupt.

She sighed, "So you all know me, but I don't know you?"

Sehun just nodded.

She was left alone at the kitchen table.

Jongdae gave her a pair of sweatpants and a tshirt - both were huge on her, but cozy nevertheless.

She squeezed her feet on the chair and hugged her knees, thinking if living with four people she barely knows is a good idea or not. The fact that she didn't really have a choice made it easy to decide.

"Whatchu doing?..." Seorin sat on the chair next to her and smiled, hugging a cup of tea.

"Thinking," Jihyun laughed. "Listen," she took a deep breath, "I know I said that I'll live here but,"

"Please don't leave..." Seorin begged, "We've been looking for a person for so long and we really need money. And you need a place to stay. Do you not like us? We're really nice. Even Sehun, to be honest. Is it because of him? Do you want to leave because of him?"

"What?" Jihyun blinked, not understanding why she would say that. "No, it's just... It's just weird, I guess."

Before Seorin could begin begging and rambling again, Jihyun's phone rang.

She looked at the screen and laughed ironically at the name of the caller.

My baby <333

"For 's sake..." She sighed before placing the phone up to her ear, "What?"

"Hey," Jongin spoke softly. "Where did you stay last night?"

"What do you want?" Jihyun spat out instead of the answer to his question.

Jongin sighed. "Shouldn't we talk about everything?"

"What's there to talk about?" She asked.

"Well, first of all," his tone began to change, "all of your is still here." He said. "Will you come get it or should I just throw everything out?"

"Wow," Jihyun sneered, "That's all you have to say?"

"What? Do you want me to apologize or something? It's not like I'm the only one at fault."

"Excuse me?" Jihyun frowned.

Seorin patted her shoulder and began to stand up, knowing when she should leave.

"What the do you mean you're not the only one at fault?" Jihyun yelled, "Unless you mean yourself and that -"

"Can we be grownups?" Jongin cut her off, "There's no need to call her that."

"There's no need? Jongin, seriously... What do you want?"

He grunted, "Well, honestly, I'd like to work this out and get back together, but-"

"You're an idiot." Jihyun scoffed, "Leave my things alone, I'll come get everything as soon as possible."

"When will it be?" Jongin asked. "I'd like to be home when you do that. That way you could give me my key back."

"So you could give it to her?" Jihyun spat out.

"Maybe," Jongin whispered. "Why? Jealous?"

" off," Jihyun said before ending the call.

Sehun swore under his breath, realizing that someone had left the door to the apartment unlocked again.

He stepped inside, furious and about to scream at someone, but as he finished locking the door, he heard a faint sound of sobbing.

He stepped towards the kitchen hesitantly.

As his eyes landed on Jihyun who's arms were wrapped around her legs tightly and head buried in between knees, his feelings about the unlocked door faded.

"Ay," he called and regretted immediately as her head rose. He didn't even know what he wanted to say and by the look on her face, it seemed as though she didn't want to hear whatever it could have been.

"Oh," Jihyun gulped as she began wiping her face with the sleeves of Jongdae's shirt. "Well, this is awkward."

"Are you crying because of your boyfriend?"

"He's not my boyfriend anymore."

"Are you crying because of that?" Sehun asked.

"It doesn't matter," she said.

"Whatever you say," Sehun shrugged but as he walked to the door, Jihyun quickly spoke.

"I have to go get my things and see him again."

Sehun turned back to her.

"I don't want pity," she said, looking up at him.

"You're not getting any from me." Sehun said simply, "I don't care about your drama. Although, I understand."

Neither of them said anything for a minute. The silence was only cut off as Chanyeol walked into the room and gasped as he saw her.

"What the ?" Chanyeol exclaimed and ran to her. "What the ?" He repeated. "Why are you crying?"

"It's nothing." Jihyun said.

"It's because she has to go and collect all her things from that guy's apartment." Sehun corrected.

"There's no need to cry about that..." Chanyeol pouted, "I'll come with you, okay? Everything's going to be okay."

Sehun watched how Chanyeol did everything to calm Jihyun down. He couldn't help but notice just how much Chanyeol was touching her, her hair or arms. Sehun couldn't help but scoff under his breath.

After Chanyeol managed to make her stop crying and send her to her room to lie down,  Sehun cocked his brow at Chanyeol.

"What?" Chanyeol asked.

"What are you trying to do?" Sehun asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb," Sehun said. "Why are you so nice to her?"

Chanyeol scoffed, "It's called being nice. You should try it sometime."

As Chanyeol walked past him, Sehun sneered, "There's a difference between being nice and sticking your nose up someone's ."

"How would you know? You're an to everyone apart Seorin," Chanyeol said as he turned his head back.

" off," Sehun began to walk but stopped as Chanyeol spoke.

"The real question is what are YOU trying to do, Sehun?"

Sehun turned back to him and gulped.

Chanyeol just winked and walked to his room.

As she finally gathered the courage to come out of her room, Jihyun walked up to the door of Sehun's room and knocked.

"Come in."

She took a deep breath and twisted the knob down, "Hey..." The door squeaked as she stepped inside.

Sehun seemed genuinely surprised to see her, but he didn't move at all from his desk and just turned his head.

"I think I should go and get my stuff," She spoke, "Would it be too much to ask for you to go with me?"

Sehun frowned, "Chanyeol said that he will go."

"Yeah, but..." Jihyun her lips, "I'd feel a lot better if you went with me."

Sehun kept tapping his pen on top of his journal, rethinking his decision to reject Jihyun and let Chanyeol go with her.

"If he wants to do something about her, I'm no one to stop him," Sehun mumbled under his nose, but the feeling of some sort of pressure kept him angry for a long time.

"Why can't I let this go?"

"You could have told me you're coming." Jongin smirked as he opened the door wider for her.

Noticing the guy in the background, he raised his eyebrows, "Who is this?"

Jihyun pushed passed him without a word.

"I'm Chanyeol."

Jongin nodded at him, and as soon as Chanyeol stepped forwards to follow after Jihyun, he shut the door.

"Sorry," Jongin said on the other side of the door, "No strangers allowed."
