AAA: Appreciation, Admiration, Adoration“Girls, who would’ve thought we’d stand on this stage today?” Jennie asks us backstage at the AAA (Asian Artist Awards) after we received our rookie award. This is our first award show, but as we've been informed, it won't be the last. It's just the beginning of award season. She’s got a cheeky grin, bursting with pride. “Finally, after all these years!”
“There were so many nights I thought I should give up,” Rose chokes up, holding her hand over for a second to hold back a sob before continuing, “I don’t even know what to say!”
“I don’t know what to say, but I know that - without a doubt - I’m eternally grateful we made it together!” Lisa exclaims, somehow managing to throw her arms around all three of us.
I grin at the group but I can’t help my wandering eyes as they peek through the slits of the curtains, staring directly at Kim Seokjin, sitting front row with the rest of BTS. I could feel him watching our performance earlier. I was so embarassed at what a mess the sound system had been, but for the split second I made eye contact with him, he gave me a small, encouraging smile. I don’t know how I was able to ignore the tingling sensation the look sent throughout my entire body, but I somehow managed not to mess up the choreography.
