Seongwoo felt something itching in his throat. Before he realized what was happening he had bent over, coughing endlessley, plenty of daffodil petals laying in front of him on the ground.  

Aka the angsty Hanahaki disease AU that no one asked for. 

Foreword

Hello, everyone! 
Back with some angst, I tried the Hanahaki AU because Ongniel makes me feel so damn angsty most of the time. I honestly have never written angst for any pairing before but they make me go like ;___;  all the time.

Those of you who don't know about the disease: it will be explained in the story, so no extra research is needed!

For my other Ongniel (less angsty) stuff, I'm linking you my Ao3 profile because my weird brain didn't want to upload every Ongniel work I have written on AFF but only on Ao3 for some reason.

This is so beautiful. Unrequited love is such a difficult thing. The hanahaki disease perfectly portrays the dangers and beauty of love. I find the hanahaki disease to be a very interesting fictional au. It would be easily be one of my favourite au out there.
Given how the hanahaki is my favourite au, this fic hurt me so much because of how beautifully written and plotted this fic is. The idea of how Seongwoo is willing to die instead of lose his feelings for Daniel is quite admirable. How he didn't even want to let anyone know of his disease because e didn't want anyone to be worried and of course he didn't want Daniel to feel bad for not liking Seongwoo back which have him the hanahaki diesease.
I have read this at least 4 times already and I am more than willin to read it some more. This is an excellent fanfic that I would recommend to people.
