Quality Content #1 : Plotlines
The guide to applyfic worldSo now you have entered the applyfic you like, read the story's plot and (somewhat) understood it.
But you realize there's the next button below and there's some strange looking pages with some pictures in it (or a lot of words, depends).
If the title says plotlines, congratulations! We're actually discussing them now. Some applyfics don't even have them, but often, girlgroups or not, do have them.
#qcask : What are plotlines?
Plotlines are the specific page where it details the character if the author has a specific ensemble in mind.
If not, there are three ways this works :
1. It's not the plotline page.
2. The author is being creative and starts changing the names.
3. There's no plotline. Which, in this case, don't refer to this chapter.
But fear not, as there are easy ways to identify whether it is one, or just goes by a different name, or there is none.
1. Check if the title is actually plotline.
2. Title sounds vaguely similar to referring to a batch/character/related. e.g. 'the girls' 'the boys' 'the troublemakers'
notes : these names could sound like the review section, however. usually the plotline page appears in the first or second to cheatsheet, except if the author actually have some background page somewhere, which means you just have to guess.
3. just ask. ask. if you couldn't find it, ask the authors. most people would be extremely nice to newbies and would help you pinpoint what is there and what to do.
#qcask : what should I do once I opened the page?
You'll probably find the description of what the author really wants to see in that specific plotline. How much they're pushing the requirements for you depends, but the more lax it is, most likely that the main key lies in the personality and the psyche. If there's a lot of specific stuff to it, then you should be able to follow them and make it creative enough without breaking it.
#qcask : what's the tip to tackle plotline?
choose whatever one you wanted. whether it would be challenging is optional, but how much interesting your character be even when given, should the final judgement be given to the author themselves. this also works when the applyfics don't have any.
