Of course, what else would I expect to wake me up. Ugh lemme sleep god damn it! A woman needs her sleep aish. Oh my gosh I just realized it our debut day tomorrow! Yes yes yes yes I'm finally gonna be Irene of Red Velvet!!!! Yes yes yes!!! Ok ummm, I should dress up fancy since it's our debut eve. August 1st is almost here! Ahh I can't believe I'm debuting soon! As the leader yes boiii!! Where are the kids damn it they should be up aish. Do I have to do all the work here?

As Irene walked into the kitchen or their dorm, she already knew her "3 kids" were up since there were rappers of various snacks all over the floor and of course, the sweet smell of coffee being made.

"Mornin' grandma. Get enough sleep for your old bones?"

"YAH Sooyoung shut it! I'm not even tha much older than you!" Actually, 6 years is a big gap now that I think about it

"Yeah sure granny, here's your coffee. We gotta meet up with manager oppa in an hour. We have to get ready to show off our y bodies to the world! Seul unnie! Seungwannie! Hurry up!"

"How do I look" OMFG. No no no how? How can someone look so good?? Well... she isn't that pretty.... I mean.... I'm better........

"Wendy-ah. Always remember this, kpop fans love dorks, and you're the biggest of them all. Plus, who knows, maybe SM will let us make our own songs in the future and maybe we'll actually make good ones. Seungwan-ah, this is just the start. Don't worry, the world will love us. I know I fell for you as soon as we met. We'll be fine so long as we're together, right?"

"Yeah. Thanks Seulgi unnie. YEAH LET'S DEBUT PEOPLE WOOH WOOH!"

Hm. Maybe things won't be so bad afterall...

The car ride was long. All I was able to think about was all the rumors I heard from our sunbaenims about idol life. Like how dating can ruin your career, and swearing, and seeming rude even if it's just cuz you're tired, and messing up on stage and UGH! To be an idol you gotta be perfect! I'm not perfect... far from from it....

"And yeah Wendy you're practically perfect. Why wouldn't people love you?"

"Haha I'm not perfect but thanks Joy-ah"

Yeah. Pfft. Wendy. She's perfect. Why's she the one who's freaked out? She's smart, beautiful, a good vocalist, a good leader, super funny, great personality, super kind, and a really good rapper despite being the main vocalist. Wait. Rapping? Ah I forgot! I'm a rapper... how is that gonna work with this hot face? Hm I'm just being honest ;). But seriously I can't rap.... ahh

Yep, Wendy is definitely a better rapper than I am aghh. Irene always admired the younger lad. Always wanted to be like her. Men would crowd Irene everywhere, even at school! But to her, Wendy was actually the prettiest. Her part in Happiness was Irene's favourite part. Despite being a bit jealous of her, she couldn't help but smile at the thought of her. Wendy was just too precious to hate. She loved her as a friend of course. Irene looked back at the excited Wendy and couldn't help but smile at her childness as she continued on singing "Haru Haru". Irene then took the car ride as an opportunity to get some rest and finally sleep knowing that this time, there would be no annoying alarm clock to wake her up but instead hopefully, Wendy. She's nice! That's all. She's not rough like the others....

1 hour later....

"BEEP BEEP BEEP" 

"Yah Seulgi! What are you a live alarm clock?! Shut up!"

"Hehe get up sleepy head. We've arrived! Let's go!

With each step Irene took towards the door, she was getting more and more nervous. In less than 24 hours, Irene will be debuting. Irene will be debuting. Not Joohyun, Irene. Reality just sunk it. Ahhhh. 

"Hello Red Velvet. You're here just so that you can meet your sunbaes as well as your managers and the whole team. Let's talk about the idol life and some last minute tips. Taeyeon ssi, come on, give our rookies some love"

"Irene-ah, take care of your members okay? The music industry is tough, but I'm sure you're even tougher okay? You'll do fine"

"Yeah just make sure to not make any mistakes or you're dead"

"Yeah haha"

"Hyoyeon! Kangin! Can you be any more scary! Kangin, just because you've gotten yourself into so many scandals doesn't mean they will. So shut up"

Hehe. Taeyeon unnie has always been nice. I love my sunbaes. But still everyone keeps on mentioning how we have to be perfect ah! I'm not perfect!

"Hey! Show us a bit of your choreo! C'mon let's see some" Suho said said a smile (of course Suho has always been Red Velvet's number one fanboy with Heechul)

"Umm, okay. Let's go. One two three go!"

"Unnie, you okay?"

"Hm? Oh yeah. It's okay Wendy. Just... in 12 minutes we'll be debuting y'know. Everything is just so stressful right now but-"

Wendy pulled Irene into a hug. A nice warm hug. Irene immediately melted in her embrace. It was just a simple hug but Irene felt completely relaxed and all her worries went away. When Wendy pulled away, Irene felt too cold for her own liking.

"Unnie, everything will be fine. I've always thought of you as a great leader and your rapping.... well.... haha I'm kidding you're good and you know what? You can only improve from here on. You'll be fine Joohyun unnie. I've always thought of you as a role model. Everyone will love you. I promise. And if not, just know that we always will. Let's blow them away okay? Don't give up. I'm right here for you. Okay?"

Wendy gave a sweet smile to Irene and quickly squeezed her hand before walking away.

"Get some rest unnie. Big day tomorrow. Good night!"

The sweet smile on her face never faded. As Wendy was leaving her room, Irene felt her face heating up a bit. Well it is August so it's pretty darn hot. That's all. Irene couldn't help but smile at what just happened. But she also couldn't believe it. What was that tingling feeling she felt at Wendy's touch? I'm just tired. I should go to sleep aigh. Good night Wendy...

And with that, Irene drifted off into sleep wearing the same smile Wendy had when she left. Tomorrow was gonna be one hell of a day.

WAH!!! Okay hi everyone!! I just wanted to make this small chapter just to let everyone know that no indeed I am not dead lol. Just been caught up with a lot of school but I'm back yay!! Did you all like Power Up? It took a bit fo time to get used to but now it's my new jam! Ba banana ba ba bananana! Wooh! Anyways lol sorry this chapter is a bit short.
