Now in my bed, finally done with the tiring day at school.

It’s a weekend tomorrow!

Jennie is calling…

Rae: Sup?

Jennie: Want to meet up?

Rae: Tomorrow?

Jennie: Yep.

Rae: Where?

Jennie: Hmm… I don’t know.

Rae: A café?

Jennie: Sounds nice.

 Rae: What time should we meet?

Jennie: I want to spend the whole day with you.

Rae: *muffled screaming*

Jennie: What’s going on?

Rae: Uh, nothing. Then let’s meet around 10am?

Jennie: Yes! Where exactly?

Rae: Starmocks near the school.

Jennie: Okay! See you~

Rae: Yep, good night.

Jennie: Good night~

I hang up and think.

I do like Jennie, but aesthetically.

When we started hanging out, I started to like her personality.

But Mina, I really like her.

Yet in the years that we’ve been friends, I got nothing.

I’m so sleepy.

From Mina: You’re leaving?

I just got out of the gate when I receive a text from Mina.

To Mina: Yep. J

From Mina: Where to?

To Mina: I’m going to meet Jennie.

No reply. I better start walking.

Jennie is calling…

Jennie: Please tell me you’re on your way.

Rae: I am. Why?

Jennie: I got here early.

Rae: Well, someone’s excited.

Jennie: *chuckles* Not really. Just don’t want to make you wait.

Rae: Sweet. I’ll be there as fast as I can.

Jennie: Okay, take care. Bye~

Rae: Bye.

I could run but chose not to.

I don’t want to be sweaty and smell bad afterwards.

I arrive at Starmocks soon enough.

Jennie is sitting by the window, waving at me.

“You waited long?” I ask.

“Not really.”

“Have you ordered?”

“Yep, I ordered for us.”

“Thanks.”

Our orders come quickly after.

“What’s up?” I ask her.

“Do you want to date me?” she asks.

It catches me off guard.

“Are you making fun of me?” I ask.

“No,” her firm answer. “I am pretty serious, and curious.”

“Curious?”

“Is it fine for me to be brutally honest?”

“Sure.”

“I just want to know how it feels like to have a girlfriend.”

“So like, you want to experiment? With me as your test subject?”

She smiles at me before saying: “Yes. But I am a test subject too, your test subject.”

“Okay, let’s date.”

Her eyes widen in shock, like she didn’t expect me to totally agree.

“Are you sure?” she asks.

“Yes.”

She hugs me tight then says: “Thanks, babe.”

I think it isn’t that bad to be used by her.

And I think it isn’t that bad to experiment with our feelings.

We both just want to learn and experience.

“What if I fall for you?” I ask her.

She looks at me, pondering as well.

“You would?”

I only shrug.

I like Mina but she doesn’t like me in the way I do.

“That’s a big possibility, Jennie.”

So if you make me feel like you like me too in the way I want to…

“Then, make me fall for you,” she says.

I’ll just have you, because I can’t have her.

“How was it?” she asks.

Mina texted me earlier during my date with Jennie, asking me to chill with her in her house which is like in front of mine so I don’t see any reason why not.

So now we’re here, laying in her bed, staring at the artificial stars stuck in her ceiling.

I still feel nervous when in her room.

“It was pretty fun”

“It’s pretty surprising though, that you like girls, you never told me.”

“I’m sorry.”

I don’t know. Every time I want to tell her, I stop myself, thinking Mina wouldn’t like it and leave me.

I don’t want that.

“I was just scared Mina, that’s why I couldn’t tell,” I confess.

“Why? I’m your best friend, I love you every way you are,” she says.

I felt the sincerity in her words, the care, and the love.

“I’m sorry for hiding it from you,” I apologize.

“I guess you never really knew until you got close with her and decided to date her, right?”

I knew even before, Mina.

“Yeah.”

“I’m not asking you to be very open to me, but at least let me know.”

“Isn’t that the same thing?”

“Is it?”

“But fine, I’ll give you an essay everyday about how I and Jennie are spending time together.”

She glares at me.

“No thanks,” she says.

“But you said you want to know.”

She face-palms.

“You know what I mean!” she screams in frustration.

“Yeah, Pingu, now calm down,” I tease.
