I always ran in the mornings.

That’s how I got the chance to meet him. To meet Sunggyu.

When I first met him, he was crying.

Crying in front of the river sitting on a bench.

He was always sitting on that bench every mornings. I kept running because I didn’t know him or how to go talk to him. Let’s say I fell in love with him at first sight. His brown eyes that met mines were filled with such sadness. And so his dark chocolate orbs seemed to longing something that melted my heart. I felt I needed to be by his side. Always be with him…

One day, I gathered my courage and went to him. At first he looked shocked and then he ran away... I couldn’t forget his look that day... He was crying and looked desperate...

The next day he wasn’t there... Maybe I scared him... I’m sorry...

Five days after, he was siting again facing the river. I... I just turned around and went home… I couldn’t face him.

That same day, I went to buy some groceries and I took the river path again. He was still there... The same clothes. The same expression. He turned around and saw me.

I froze. Unable to react. He was walking towards me. I couldn’t hear what he was saying to me...

"S.. ry... got.. ared.. ther.. day..."

He must have known I just didn’t listened to him. He repeated:

- "I’m sorry... I got scared the other day... I mean more embarrassed... You were always running but that day you went to me to talk to me right? I was crying I know... But how can a grown up like me cry. *nervous laugh* I’m sorry to have run away... I was... You know embarrassed..."

- "NO! No..! I mean don’t be sorry... I mean I always saw you on the bench looking sad and... and I thought that maybe.. maybe you needed someone to talk to.. cheer up..."

He laughed. His eyes turned into magnificent crescent moon. His laughing was melodic. He looked so beautiful. I couldn’t take my eyes off this man. My heart beat so fast.

We talked more until night. I got to know more about Sunggyu hyung. He was 3 years older than me. A handsome 30 old piano teacher. He just lost his dear older sister that helped him a lot to achieve his dream. They always talked on that same bench. Talking until the sun reflected the river a crimson color on the water accompanied with a chilly wind.

I will always remember that night.

The day we got one step more closer.

When we couldn’t met, I always sat near my window in my room. I could see the river. I would stare all day. The water seemed so warm yet cold. I would see Sunggyu face, hear his laugh, smell his sweet fragrance, feel his touches... I missed him... I wanted to see him...
