EXT: GAS STATION – NIGHT

Namjoon leans against the car he’s filling as he his lollipop. When the pump vibrates, signally the limit, he pulls out, shuts the fuel tank and locks it. As he turns around to hook back the pump, the driver tosses a couple bills out of the car as they drive off. Namjoon just stares at them and then looks at the bills on the floor. He’s about to crouch down and pick it when his phone rings.

NAMJOON

Hello.

JIMIN

Hyung! (Cries) Hyung, Yoongi’s house is on fire. What do we do?

Namjoon covers his other ear as he bends to hear well.

NAMJOON

Come again.

JIMIN

(Screams)

YOONGI’S HOME IS ON FIRE. I don’t know if he’s in there or anything. We came to look for him after my mom called saying Jungkook’s been admitted into the hospital. By the time we got here, Yoongi-hyung’s home was on fire. We just called the cops but-

NAMJOON

Calm down, Jimin. I’ll be right over. Stay put. You hear me? Stay put.

He cuts the call and immediately calls Taehyung.

TAEHYUNG

Hyung, please, I need you.

NAMJOON

(Frowns)

What happened?

TAEHYUNG

(Cries)

I don’t know. I just came home to look for my mom and he was… (Sniff) he was beating on her again.

NAMJOON

Your dad? Taehyung, it’s okay. I’ll pick you up now.

TAEHYUNG

Hyung, I killed him.

Namjoon freezes as he looks at the phone.

NAMJOON

What did you just say?

TAEHYUNG

I think I killed my father, hyung. I used… I used his bottle. (Laughs) Oh my god, I’m going to hell. I’m going to jail. Hyung what do I do?
