Mile a Minute

                 "Shoot!" Missing a beat, I slid forward a bit too much and landed right on my . "Gah!" I groaned loudly and got back up. How many times will it take to memorize one stupid dance? All the other members got it quickly. I'm known for dancing so why the hell is this taking so long for me? I hit the 'play' button on the remote control to start the music again.

                 "My heart beats a mile a minute for you." The song played out loudly in the room as I swifty slid around. Like always, I made a mistake at that one part, landing on my side this time. "Oh my, gosh." I yelled and threw my shoes off.

                I leaned against the mirror, pulling my knees towards me and placing my head on top of them. Why do I even dance if I can't learn one simple dance?  A knock was suddenly heard on the clear door and I glanced up.

                "You're still here, Hyo-Hyo?" EunHyuk grinned, walking towards me. "It's almost midnight. This building is practically empty."

                "Yeah, I'm trying to learn this one move. It's not working though." I sighed and leaned my head back. "It's so hard for me yet everyone else gets it so fast."

                 He frowned and looked at me. "It's okay, HyoYeon-ah. Some dances are hard for me too." 

                 "Pff." I rolled my eyes and looked at him. "As if. You're the dancing king."

                 "And you're the Dancing Queen, remember?" He sat down beside me while responding.

                 "And yet I can't do a stupid dance move." I grumbled again to myself.

                EunHyuk swung his arm around me, exhaling loudly. "Lemme tell you something, HyoYeon." He glanced to me then away. "Dancing is something not everyone can do. Some people can do popping and locking, some can do ballet, some can do hip hop, and some can do rock. The list goes on. You, on the other hand, can do any dance at all. Any!"

                "Except SNSD dances." I finished for him. 

                "So? Who cares?!" EunHyuk exclaimed loudly. "Everyone knows you can dance. Everyone knows you try really hard. Even if you make mistakes, we all know that you worked hard to get to where you are today."

                "Why does that even matter?" I tried to argue with him. "I make so many mistakes."

                He frowned and sighed. "I heard this quote from somewhere. I don't know the exact words, but it went a little something like this." I rolled my eyes and looked away. "Just because an ice skater falls down, doesn't mean she should never get up and try again. Just because a cook makes a mistake in his recipe, doesn't mean he should quit cooking."

               "What...?" His words were actually ... Touching? As always, EunHyuk had been here when I had fallen down.

               "What I'm saying is, don't quit just because you can't do a move. It just means you have to try harder." He frowned and looked me straight in the eye.

                I suddenly felt my heart waver. I'd always been grateful that EunHyuk was one of my closests oppas. He'd always helped me when I wanted to quit. He had always gave me encouraging words when I didn't believe in my self. "EunHyuk... I don't know what to say. You're there for me when I need you. You're like... My best friend."

                He smiled his famous gummy smile. "I know. Just keep praising me while you're at it." I pushed him away from me, laughing lightly. His laughter was much deeper then it use to be. After it became quiet again, we sat there just staring at each other. "Can I try something, HyoYeon? Something I wanted to for a while now." Before I could answer, EunHyuk grabbed my chin and pulled me closer.

               "Keep beliving, HyoYeon." His breath was blown against my face. "Because even if you don't, I'll still believe in you."

              His warm lips were then pushed against mine, making my heart beat a mile a minute.
