Red Light Agency‘This is it,’ Krystal thought to herself as she watched Victoria’s face contort in desperation.
She was brought up short when she felt a hand grab each wrist and yank her body to a sudden stop. Her eyes widened as her heart stopped and she looked up into Luna’s shining eyes.
“Oh no, you don’t,” Luna was held around the legs by Amber, “You can’t leave this pack that easily.”
“Wh—how---why?” Krystal couldn’t form a coherent sentence.
“You might be a pain in the , but Vic-umma’s kind of sweet on you, so of course we can’t just let you die,” she smiled with a wink.
“Climb up stupid!” Sulli called as Victoria helped her to stand.
Krystal growled and began the painstaking climb up Luna’s body until she stood shakily with her feet in Luna’s palms. Luna pushed Krystal upward and Victoria grabbed her pulling her the rest of the way with Sulli’s help.
“Come on babe, I’ve got you,” Amber stepped backwards carefully as she pulled Luna back up.
“Can we please go now,” Sulli pouted and the others laughed.
“Absolutely,” Krystal knelt down in front of Sulli, “How about a free ride?”
There was no hesitation as Sulli joyfully leapt onto Krystal’s back and the other woman carried her up to the elevator. Safely back on the chopper they lifted off and Krystal pressed one last button on her computer. There was a moment of silence before the facility was reduced to a mushroom cloud of smoke and debris. It collapsed inward on itself and sank deep into the ice. The helicopter swayed and the metal groaned as the shockwave hit it, but it leveled out after a few tense moments and the women relaxed into their seats.
“How’s the leg?” Luna asked as she peeled the bandage back slightly.
“It still hurts like a toothache,” Sulli sighed pitifully.
“It’s not bleeding anymore and it looks like its healing well,” Luna replaced the soiled bandages with clean ones.
The wound was slightly swollen and red, but the punctures had already healed and were barely little divots in her skin.
“So you said they were trying to copy us?” Amber chewed her bottom lip, “Why?”
“Why not?” Victoria asked, “Can you imagine if someone had about 30 of us, under complete control, that could spell big trouble for us let alone the human race.”
“They’ll never have complete control, look at how that turned out,” Luna referred to the facility they had just demolished.
“We have to get this information to the Agency and we’ll go from there,” Victoria rubbed her eyes as Krystal yawned, “They may have an idea who’s behind this.”
Krystal’s eyes began to drift shut and Luna took the opportunity to gesture to the girl with her chin. Victoria frowned and shook her head, but Luna urged her more and Victoria rolled her eyes. She looked over at Krystal who was leaning against her shoulder and lifted her arm slightly. The young woman fit neatly into her side and rested with the top of her head under Victoria’s chin. Amber held a hand to to cover her chuckle as Victoria glared at the three women staring at them. The tantalizing scent of sunshine and mangoes wafted to her again and she gave up the fight resting her chin on top of the young woman’s head.
