Playing House/Feelings Revealed
Red Light Agency“Ok so there are only three bedrooms,” Sulli explained as they stepped through the door and into the living room, “So I suggest you four decide who you’re roommate is going to be.”
“Wait why do you get your own room?” Luna asked.
“Because of my computer and equipment I have to have there’s no space for two people,” Sulli shrugged.
“By equipment she means her stuffed animals,” Amber muttered under her breath to Luna who giggled.
“I’m going to pick Amber,” Luna put an arm around her friend’s shoulder.
“Like no one saw that coming,” Krystal smirked.
“What do you mean?” Luna seemed confused, “She doesn’t use a lot of makeup or hair care products so it frees up the bathroom for all of my stuff.”
“Okay, Luna and Amber in the room to the right, and Krystal and I will take the room to the left,” Victoria directed.
“Wonderful,” Krystal rolled her eyes.
“Sulli we do have food right?” Victoria asked and the younger woman smiled brightly.
“Fully stocked,” she spoke proudly.
“Everyone settle in, I’ll make dinner,” Victoria walked into the kitchen as three of the girls cheered.
“Just like old times,” Luna smiled widely as she jumped on Amber’s back, “To our room.”
Amber complied obediently and gave the girl a piggy back ride to their shared room. Krystal pinched the bridge of her nose trying to figure out where the duo got their energy as she took a seat at the kitchen bar. Sulli sisters as she passed them in the narrow hallway and entered her own room.
“So what do you think of Krystal?” Luna inquired as Amber set her on her feet and flopped back on one of the beds.
“I bet liquid nitrogen is warmer than she is,” she shuddered for emphasis.
“Maybe she’ll come around,” Luna walked into the bathroom leaving the door wide open and began running water in the bathtub for a shower.
Amber swallowed hard noticing with a mix of pleasure and despair that her position on the bed gave her a perfect view into the bathroom. Satisfied with the temperature of the water Luna pulled the stopper for the shower and peeled off her shirt. Amber felt like her face was on fire and against her instincts she had the good grace to shut her eyes tightly.
“Either way Victoria’s got her hands full,” Luna’s voice echoed against the bathroom tile.
“She’s not the only one,” Amber growled in distress as visages of what the rest of Luna’s body might look like danced behind her eyes.
“Do you think she’s prettier than me?” Luna asked as she lathered her hair.
“No way,” Amber answered abruptly, “Why would you even compare yourself to her?”
“Oh come on,” Luna laughed rinsing off, “I saw the way you were looking at her.”
“Trust me I was not looking at her like that,” Amber momentarily forgot about Luna being in the shower as she tried to sooth the girl’s ego.
Amber suddenly reached a conclusion that seemed crazy and funny to her, “Are you jealous of her?”
Luna remained silent for a moment as she turned off the water and wrapped a towel around herself.
“Should I be?” Luna walked out of the bathroom with her hands on her hips.
“Oh come on you know you’re my best friend,” Amber struggled to lie even though in her heart she knew the truth.
‘Best friend,’ Luna frowned and worried her bottom lip lost in thought, ‘I could be so much more if you’d just let me.’
Amber watched her with concern as Luna seemed to be somewhere else and the way she was biting her bottom lip was causing her stomach to twist pleasantly.
“Just kiss already!” Sulli called through the wall frustrated at how the two women were tiptoeing around each other.
Amber pulled her pillow over her face and realized she would be the first being in history to actually die from embarrassment.
“Yah!” Luna slapped the wall in agitation, hearing an “ow” from the other side, “Stop eavesdropping you little brat!”
Amber sighed and removed the pillow from her face as her wolf compelled her to sit up and get off the bed, “Damn it she’s right.”
“What?” Luna was caught off guard as Amber paced and combed her fingers through her short hair.
“I said she’s right,” Amber sighed stopping to face the other woman, “I don’t even know why I thought I could hide it, the way you laugh, the way you smile, the way you smell, I can’t pretend that you’re just my unnie or my best friend anymore, and I’ll understand if you want another roommate or partner on missions…”
Amber’s adorable rambling was cut short when soft lips pressed to hers and she froze in shock eyes wide. Luna pulled away slightly with a worried expression when Amber didn’t respond.
“Am?” Luna started to back away thinking she had made a terrible mistake.
Amber shook the daze from her mind as she saw the one thing she had wanted more than the very air she was breathing moving away. She cupped Luna’s face in her hands tenderly as if she were afraid she was dreaming and the other woman would disappear into vapor. Luna smiled softly and held onto the sides of Amber’s shirt. Assured that this moment was real and this beautiful woman standing only in a towel with dripping hair was waiting patiently for her, Amber closed the last breath of space between their lips. Luna’s hands twisted tighter into the fabric of Amber’s shirt as she parted her lips and bit down on Amber’s full bottom lip. She smiled at the growl that sounded more like a purr in her new lover’s throat and slipped her tongue into the tomboy’s mouth. Amber gave a throaty chuckle between their lips and happily matched Luna’s slow burn. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Krystal watched Victoria move around the kitchen like a fish in water. She was truly in her element as she juggled two pans, chopped up meat and vegetables, and washed every dish she dirtied as she went.
“Stop staring at me it’s creepy,” Victoria wiped her hands on the dish towel that was draped over her shoulder without even sparing the younger woman a glance.
“Why do you take care of them, they’re not children?” Krystal couldn’t understand the connection between these women.
“Because I enjoy it, they’re my family, and again it’s my job as leader to make sure everyone eats well, sleeps well, doesn’t get sick, so on and so forth,” Victoria waved a wooden spoon in the air.
Krystal’s stomach growled at the smell of the fried rice and she her lips involuntarily feeling herself drool.
“So why’d you leave then, if they mean that much to you?” Krystal could tell she had pierced the older woman with the question because Victoria’s back stiffened.
“Go tell the others dinner is ready,” Victoria’s tone brooked no arguments and for once Krystal didn’t offer a snarky comeback.
