Rain 2

Written in Jessica Jung's POV

It's probably just nothing to other people but to me, it is special; because finally, I can have her once again and all thanks to the Rain.

When everything left a bitter impression to you and your life, I guess it is perfectly normal to say that we are only left with one certain memory to make things slightly better, and for me, it happened to be the rain. The rain that is always making a slight noise at the roof of our home, making me a little less lonely. The rain which hold onto something that I do not want to forget; a memory I shared to the person who made me fall in love helplessly, the one with Kwon Yuri in it.

"You know, you're taller than me but you are such a crybaby." I rolled my eyes at the sight of the younger one sniffing in front of me while holding tightly at the toy on her chest.

"B-But -- But, he snatched my toy."  I heard her sniff and swear, this is just too much even for a kid like me to take. "Gosh! Stop crying already, It's just a toy, Kwon Yuri. Get up!" I was annoyed by the fact that she's crying over something that won't make this world a lot better.

"But you gave that toy to me Sica." She answered still crying her eyes out. Okay, I swear, this is getting on my nerves.

"Just get up Yuri! There is something more important than that!" I shouted, probably way too harshly because she suddenly got up and snapped at me. The nerve!?!

"BUT YOU ARE SPECIAL TO ME! THAT MEANS THE TOY TOO! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SICA!!" Shouted at me then ran away. For a moment, I thought her veins will pop out from her neck and temple. Kwon Yuri. You really.

I was left there dumbfounded. "Idiot! I understand that! You are the one who doesn't understand me!" I shouted back, but of course she didn't hear any of it. Not too long after that the rain poured and my Dad came. "Let's go Sooyeon-ah, we'll be late for our flight." I just nodded, still looking at the direction where she ran off.

I wanted you to understand... to hug me so I can hug you back, to hug me so I can tell you that no matter what it's going to be fine because you have me, to hug me so I can tell you how I badly don't want to leave you alone... because even if this is too young, I know, this is still love that I feel.

"Please remember me, Kwon Yuri." That was the last thing that escaped my lips, the last glance I was able to take before I left; away from where we started.

It was one of those so called boring days when I finally decided to snap out of my day-dreaming. This is not helping me at all. I sighed and stood up from my seat, sauntering my way towards the window, leaning on it to have a look outside. Tilting my head a bit, I couldn't help but let out a soft hum as I saw one of the popular girl in my class just outside the building, probably waiting for someone.

I dragged my chair beside the window, sitting on the desk of it while I continue watching the drama like scene unfolding right in front of me. And almost immediately, I stumbled slightly on where I am sitting the moment I saw her literally jumping on the guy's waist. It didn't even took another minute when they started making out, and with that I mean literally eating each other's faces. Right.In.Front.Of.The.School.

"For real?!" I can only shake my head in utter disbelief.

A few seconds passed, it started raining hard and the two of them are still busy kissing each other. Like really? My attention was caught by another person who came with two umbrella, one in her left hand while she's using the other one. I saw how she dropped the umbrella and ran away but that's not the one I'm paying more attention to. It's the fact that I find her overly familiar.

A smile crept into the corner of my lips, 'I finally found you!' I gathered my things and ran, following the path where the girl went.

'Kwon Yuri.'

She was hanging her head low while taking a rest at the bench of the bus stop, the sight broke me without any further notice and from there, I knew, it was probably because she know the people who were making out earlier. I couldn't help but clenched my fist on the thought, who are they to hurt my Yuri just like that!? I tried to set aside the hate from the two that's slowly creeping inside of me and decided to just capture the attention of the person in front of me.

"Annoying rain! Why do you need to pour right now!" I said, rather loudly than my normal tone even stomping my feet in the process to catch her attention.

"Hey." She called out but being the stubborn me, I pretended not to hear because I swear, it's too hard not to smile when the thought of meeting the person you are pretty much fond of were right behind you. "Stupid! Stupid! Why did I forget my umbrella out of all things!" I continued my nonsense for a rant, finally I felt her tapped me on my shoulder lightly. After making sure that there's no evidence of me smiling like an idiot I turned to her and man I couldn't help but laugh inwardly at the sight in front of me.

All the thing happened way too fast and the last thing I saw was her back as she started running away in the middle of pouring rain. It reminded me of what happened before I left, only that, this time, she wasn't upset but too bad... I turned my gaze on the umbrella that she gave me just a few moment ago. I sighed, she no longer remember me. The thought made me chuckle bitterly.

I was literally dragging my lazy out of this stupid for a school when someone caught my attention, it was her; Kwon Yuri and the way I'm seeing it, she's talking to 'that' woman. How dare this ing ?

"...Do you want to get back together?" Was the word I heard when I stand a little closer. I clenched my fist at what she said, the guts. This stupid Yuri didn't even bother saying anything making me more annoyed than I already am. Calming myself, I started taking a step closer to the two, ideas popping everywhere in my mind until it finally landed on one thing that will surely made this go nuts.

“I’m going to take a step back if I were you, right seobang?” I was leaning on the doorframe with my arms crossed as I called out sweetly. “My my, isn’t it Jessica Jung? After dumping Ok Taecyeon, you’re here to use my ex as a second choice, eh?” I walked pass Gyuri and clung my arm Yuri. I felt her froze at the contact but I didn't paid that much attention into it. “Ooh, now you’re accusing me to be someone like you? Kissing a guy in front of the school with her girlfriend watching from afar, huh? How scandalous… I’m not as cheap as you are,” I retorted. Gyuri’s face is indescribable. She was obviously ridiculed and bewildered.

I was wearing that victorious smirk before turning to the person beside me, “Why don’t we go now, babe? We might run late for the movie.” I glanced at Gyuri with a smirk tugging on the corner of my lips, “So, uh… see you around.” I heard Yuri said and I intertwined our fingers before we started to walk away. I don’t know what will happen next, but this will surely change things.

My attention was shifted back to her when she suddenly said, "Just who are you really, Jessica Jung?"

"Just who are you really, Jessica Jung?" The question saddened me, probably because this time I was so sure. She remember not even a single memory of me and it . Big time.

I let go of her arm then turned in order to meet her gaze, I was obviously glaring at her while I tried my best to look for the possible word that I can used to wake her up from this nightmare. She's still the stupid one that I once knew, nothing's going to change that.

"Yah! You idiot! You really erase me from your memory?!?" I couldn't help but exclaimed, it may be rude but I just wanted her to remember me. I don't think I can even bear the fact that I'm living without her.

I saw her eyes widened and I smiled inwardly... perhaps way too early. "AH! Of course, of course, I didn't forget you. You're the woman in the bus stop right?" She answered snapping her fingers while nodding her head like a genius. Genius?! Where the hell is your brain, Kwon Yuri!?!? You stupid !

And that's when I decided to beat the hell out of her. This stupid woman really. "How dare you forget me you! You charcoal!" I said as I hit her on the arm continously.

"AH! Stop it! It hurts Sica..." She complained and paused when she realized what she just said. Slowly, both of us connected our gaze to each other and before both of us can utter any word the heavy rain suddenly poured. It was just for a moment but I saw, it was us from way back- the person in front of me right now, isn't the Kwon Yuri now but the crybaby Kwon Yuri whom I love so much.

"Yah! How can you trip like that? What are you? An idiot?!" I said angrily as I pressed the cotton on her bleeding knee.

"It's not my fault. You're the one who wanted to get chase. I just followed you." She answered back. "YOU!" I exclaimed pressing the cotton with much force. "AH! Stop it! It hurts Sica!" She shouted in pain and I couldn't help but laugh at her miserable expression.

We were arguing, shouting at each other when the heavy rain suddenly poured. And because of her injury we ended up playing in the rain instead.

"Yah! We're getting wet. What are you standing there for?" Her voice snapped me out of my trance and I looked at her with the smile I could only let her see, it was just meant for her and her alone. No one else.

Without thinking much, I ran towards her and tackled her on the ground. I was laughing so hard while she tried her hardest trying to get me off her stomach.

 "Why did you leave me?" I stopped laughing as soon as I heard her asked. The rain was long forgotten and our eyes become each other's answer, as if every question to be made were meant to be answered by the look in our eyes. Deep, sincere, and full of longing.

"You're the one who left me first." I answered back, looking at her with teary eyes, remembering the moment where I failed to say my goodbye.

"HUH? Are you blaming me?!" She suddenly shouted, standing up. Following her, I did the same and glared at her. "OF COURSE!! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO RAN AWAY FIRST!" I shouted. Anger starting to get in my head.

"YAH! THAT'S BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND ME!!"

"IT WAS YOU WHO DIDN'T UNDERSTAND ME!!"

"AISH!! WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING AT ME?!"

"Because you're shouting!! You idiot!" I slightly lower my voice.

"That's because you left!!"

"Does it really matter?! I'm here now!"

"You were supposed to follow me back then. You woman! That's how this story goes!"

"Damn it! Don't involve the writer into this!" (oops sorry, I got carried away. lol)

"Why are you mad at the first place?" I finally said in a much calmer tone when I got tired of shouting. "That's because you kept on treating me like a kid that's why you didn't know why."

"Will you just go straight to the point!"

"Aish! I love you so shut up and give me a hug!"

"WHAT?!" I said in utter surprise, totally not expecting her rude confession.

She suddenly stopped in front of me, sighed before enveloping me into a tight hug. "I said I love you, you annoying Jessica Jung." She repeated softly.

"Damn you Kwon Yuri." I said and buried myself on her arms that's soaking wet due to rain. I was literally crying and I didn't even know why, perhaps because I was so happy but I don't care, I just wanted to cry in her arms because in there, I felt safe.

"I know..

I know you love me too.." She finished and I scoffed playfully before grinning from ear to ear. That's right. We are both in love.
