“Months ago… I started dating Wonsik and told you while you were having lunch that I have to go out on a date with him. That time, I told you I dated your father’s secretary and asked was it alright with you… and… and you said you were fine… with anything…”

There, Taekwoon let out a defeated sigh. He ran his gaze to the tiled kitchen floor, apologetic and embarrassed.

“I’m sorry… I haven’t been listening…” He said, pulling himself to look at Jaehwan again. “I’m fine with that… But I need the both of you to keep this thing a secret, about Hakyeon.” He explained in a softer tone, genuinely wanting help from his two subordinates to help him in keeping secrets.

It was Jaehwan’s first time to see the Young Master he’d been working for, showing much emotions in his acts and his words. An apologetic one at that. Hence, Jaehwan was a bit surprised when the said man was saying his apology to him. Jaehwan took his time scanning Taekwoon up and down before he finally opened . “Taekwoon hyung…” He said very softly, to test the water, to ensure that he not just address his Young Master wrongly.

Hearing Taekwoon hum as his reply, Jaehwan’s lips twitch a bit to show a relatively small smile from him. “It’s okay, hyung…” He said, saying the last word with confidence in his tone. “We’ll keep it a secret from everyone… You can trust me and Wonsik… And, thank you Taekwoon hyung…” Jaehwan’s smile widened. Indeed, Jaehwan thought. ‘Taekwoon hyung’ sounded so much better than ‘Young Master Taekwoon’. Jaehwan decided that he loved this side of Taekwoon so much.

Jaehwan’s cute smile was contagious that it made Taekwoon smiled too, though half-heartedly. “Bring some water for Hakyeon. He’s resting in the guest room.” He said, patting Jaehwan’s shoulder as he was about to retreat from the kitchen.”

After the confrontation about Jaehwan’s boyfriend, Taekwoon had completely forgotten that he needed to explain his relationship with Hakyeon. He only remembered that Hakyeon wished to not be known as his boyfriend when he stepped into the living room. Like something heavy just dropped itself onto his head, Taekwoon groaned lowly, shutting his eyes tight. He dreaded having to face Jaehwan and explain himself again, besides, he was liking it when Jaehwan thought they were in a relationship. It all made things easier; no explanation needed, no reasons to be told as to why Hakyeon is staying with them. As simple as that. Furthermore, Jaehwan promised to keep it a secret. Taekwoon just brushed off the matters from his mind. Next time. There’d be plenty of other times to explain it to Jaehwan. Taekwoon nodded to himself as if he was assuring himself that his decision to delay it was right.

Few minutes after, Taekwoon’s mind was just about to wander off somewhere, his body was just relaxing into the comfy couch when Jaehwan’s voice startled him from behind. “…Woonie hyung…”

Taekwoon forced his eyes opened as he caught that faint voice calling him. “Yes, Jaehwan?” He replied, rubbing his face with his two hands. “What is it?” In his view, Jaehwan was bending himself a bit to reach Taekwoon’s height. A tray containing a jug of water and an empty glass was in Jaehwan’s hands.

Taekwoon took notice of a small pile on the tray which he recognized as Hakyeon’s medications as Jaehwan continued to say, “Hakyeon..ssi is sleeping. What do I do? Should I wake him up to take his pills.. or…?”

Taekwoon blinked his eyes as the words finally sank in his head. He left Hakyeon in the room not too long ago and now he was already asleep. Cute. Taekwoon said mentally.

“Oh… Just let him sleep…” Taekwoon answered after composing his thoughts and clearing as he tried to sound as calm as he could. He willed himself up from the comfy couch and now was eye level with Jaehwan. “I’ll take this to him… You may go.” He continued, taking the tray from Jaehwan’s hold after dismissing the latter.

Jaehwan stayed behind while Taekwoon made his way to the guest room. The cook was mentally squealing as he reached for his mobile phone and typed away what he just saw. Oh just how he couldn’t wait for his next date with Wonsik just so he could pour his heart out to his lover without holding back and having to consider the presence of Taekwoon and his boyfriend, Hakyeon.
