[Jooheon is summoned into his company’s meeting room by his manager. Around the rectangular table sits his Monsta X members, CEO, managers and mother. The CEO sits on one end of the table while the seat at other end is empty.]

Jooheon: What is all of this?

CEO: sit down, please.

[Jooheon sits on the empty seat. He takes a good look at everyone around the room and flashbacks of memories of his rookie days appear in his head. He thinks about how all the success he has right now wouldn’t have been possible without the people sitting at the table – minus the fans, ofc. He knows exactly why he has been called in and why all the important people in his life are present in the meeting room. This is a intervention.]

CEO: Alright, so I am just going to get right to it. This is going to come out sooner or later so we might as well get it over with right now. Jooheon, your parents, managers, members and I have done a lot of thinking and discussing, and we want you to take a break for a few months.

Jooheon: Do I get a say in any of this?

CEO: Seeing your recent state, I don’t think that is the best idea.

Jooheon’s Mum: Honey, we really think its what’s best for you.

Jooheon: Mum, it was one mistake! It won’t happen again!
CEO: You nearly hospitalised a guy!

Jooheon: Pfft, he deserved it. He lied about me plagiarising his work and ruined by reputation.

CEO: And you made it worse by getting into a fight with him.

[The room falls silent. Jooheon has nothing to say because he knows his CEO is right. He ruined his career.]

Shownu: We’re not punishing you. We just want you to take a break for a little while. Get some rest and clear your mind. I promise, it’ll be refreshing.

[Just like that, Jooheon listens. To get through all of that craziness of being one of the most popular rappers in the country as well as being a member of one of the hottest boy groups, Jooheon always consults s and listens to them well. Jooheon: Where will I go? What will I do? How long will this break be?

Jooheon’s Mum: I was thinking that you could go back to Daegu and spend time with your grandmother. Help her with the small kindergarten that we opened in the countryside. I know she’ll love that.

[At the Monsta X dorms. The boys are crowded in Jooheon’s room and he packs a few essentials.]

Shownu: I know it to temporarily let go of something you love to do but it’ll always be here when you come back. It’s not for long anyways.

Kihyun: Yeah, plus you get to spend some quality time with your family. You always complain about how much you miss them.

Minhyuk: Yeah, and we’ll come visit whenever we can as well. You’ll never be able to get rid of us.

Hyungwon: Yeah, think about all the sleep you can get! Oh my god, I’m so jealous.

I.M.: Yeah, plus you’ll have time to compose more music. Right?

Wonho: Yeah. The fans have been sending in heart-warming messages all day since we announced your break. They love you, we love you.
