A young Byun Baekhyun goes through a downward spiral of his life. He's confronted with the fact that he violated his contract with SM after a night filled with rage, and there's nothing he can do but get on his knees and accept the punches. His career down the drain and with no one to turn to, he decides to try and figure out what to do with life. Baekhyun feels like an exile in his own country, especially with everyone knowing that he was the kid that got kicked out of SM. So he does what anyone else with a premature mid-life crisis would do: Baekhyun moves to the states and goes back to school for a fresh start.
