A Cliche Start

Back in 1991, two women with their guy best friend are waiting outside of the delivery room, supporting the nervous father to be, the first woman is holding a baby boy in her lap while placing her hand over his shoulder while the other one, who’s still single patting the right side of his arm giving him courage that he needs to stay strong for his wife

But before they ended up in this situation, when they were younger, the three of them, Yoo EunJae, Shin MinHee, Park ChaeYeon, best friends since childhood, also grew apart when feelings got involved. MinHee is the first to let herself out when she told EunJae her feelings but the latter didn’t feel the same way, not until she met her husband, she thought that EunJae loves ChaeYeon but surprise when EunJae married another woman besides their best friend, as they grow old they decided to patch things up and just decided to all become best friends like the way they use to be

EunJae’s wife died after a few days of giving birth, which left him alone to raise JinJin on his own, He was in deep pain but he needs to be strong for his own daughter, he needs to grieve but his daughter is more important and a month after that he went back to work and entrusted Jin to ChaeYeon until his mother went back to Seoul to look after Jin. Months passed and ChaeYeon got married December the same year and after nine months like, the second time scenario outside the delivery room, EunJae who was holding Jin, MinHee who was holding the chubby MinSeok on their lap with ChaeYeon’s husband waiting for the doctor to come up with a good news and not long after JongDae was added as their new family member, they swore that they will look at each other children no matter what and will treat them like their own

Grade School

MinSeok is in third grade, Jin is in second and JongDae the youngest in first grade, all them had the same school time so they basically always together during lunch and when the classes are over; the three of them always play together, MinSeok always insist that he is the king, Jin is the queen and Jongdae is their prince, which always annoys JongDae despite of his young age

One afternoon, while playing on the sandbox, JongDae insisted to be the king but MinSeok laughed it off and told the younger one that he must be the king since he was older which made the younger boy cry

“YAH! OPPA! Let JongDae be the king once.” Jin consoled the younger boy as she pat his head to comfort

MinSeok just shrugged at the sight he didn’t expect why seeing them like that making him feel uneasy, Jin taking care of JongDae, Maybe its because he was not used to seeing her defend him until now, he just think that it is a good deed for a friend and seeing JongDae cried his heart out made him the big brother for the two like he always should

High School

MinSeok is Mr. Popular while Jin is the reigning Queen Bee while JongDae become the school nerd; MinSeok is always the athletic one which gained him more friends and admirers, the popularity hit him in the head and he let his studies slide off making him to repeat his senior year which making him and Jin classmates and with that JongDae the quite one got more jealous, not romantically with his age at this time but like a sibling one, for him, Jin is like a big sister he never has, and Jin spending more time with MinSeok give him the feeling of loneliness, and envious, last year at the junior and senior prom of MinSeok and Jin they were partners and now his hyung repeat another year and now classmates with Jin, he has this feeling that MinSeok will ask Jin again and he will always be left out

The three are at the library, Jin sitting beside JongDae while MinSeok sat across them, Jin put down her pen and turned to JongDae

“What are your plans to this coming prom?” She asked lazily
