Next day came, it was time to perform their song. They were woken up early and headed backstage to get ready. They got dressed and their hair done, after one finished he would get up and teased another member who was now sitting to get prepared. After every member was ready , they gathered together and encouraged each other. It was time to get on the stage, everyone looked to have courage and smiled widely while Taeyong got suddenly stressed, he couldn't control it which was a big problem since he's the leader. They were performing, everyone got the lines and dance right but Taeyong's stress got a little obvious, of course the members managed to cover it but Taeyong still felt disappointed. When they got off stage , and were allowed to leave , which was at late night,  they all seemed happy except Taeyong who stayed silent. They changed and got in the van to go back to the dorm. Arriving they threw their stuff on the side and sat in the living room to talk about the stage. They were satisfied and also thanked the leader, Mark and Haechan got up and approached Taeyong to kiss him on the cheek innocently one on each side. Taeyong smiled and looked down before looking at Doyoung to see if he minded , Doyoung had only his head turned towards them looking from the corner of his eyes , he looked down but also smiled back. Everyone went to sleep immediately after their talk, but Taeyong noticed Doyoung wasn't in the room. He checked the dorm silently not to wake up anyone. As he searched the dorm he still couldn't find him, he though Doyoung may be in the room now so he headed back to the room. As he was walking the hall to the room , he heard sobs coming from the dark living room. He stopped and tried to see, he noticed a figure close to the window, he approached hesitantly:

-Doyoung?

suddenly the sobs paused , he approached faster and stood next to the figure standing in front of the window. It was Doyoung, he was crying, Taeyong couldn't see him clearly but his watery eyes were shining from the moon light:

-Why are you crying?

said Taeyong in a sad silent tone ready to also cry, he then proceeded to wipe Doyoung's tears with the edges of his shirt sleeves. Doyoung let him do it and looked at him while gathering strength before talking:

-We can't be together...

-...don't do this , why ?

said Taeyong both anger and sadness feeling him. Doyoung took his eyes off him and looked outside the window to look at the moon:

-What will the fans say?

this was a problem indeed, Doyoung was right . Taeyong thought of it before talking:

-I know they love us but if they see that we are happy together then they'll also be happy. And I don't think they would ever give us to any of the girl Idols , most of them are sell outs nowadays. 

-...so you believe they will accept us as a couple?

Doyoung was still feeling problematic, but he wanted to be with Taeyong, he was too young to know love but he knew that Taeyong was an important part of his life. Doyoung suddenly grabbed Taeyong from his arms and pinned him on the wall next to the window and threatened in a funny tone:

-Ok but if you tell anyone I was crying, I'm gonna beat you 

he joked and tried not to laugh, Taeyong had his eyes opened in shock from the sudden action but smiled after Doyoung's words. Next day they had to go in the company again for dance practice. Everyone had gathered outside the dorm , Taeyong was the last but Doyoung stopped him from getting out of the dorm:

-Mark and Haechan are scared to go to practice, can you talk to them?

-Really? I got it!

said Taeyong determined and headed to their rooms , after Doyoung saw he fell for it , he smirked and got out to approach the other members. He gathered them close to him and told them he knew what they had done to Taeyong, he told them that Taeyong should be taken care of since he's the leader, he wouldn't leave NCT but this doesn't mean he had to go through this. The members knew Doyoung was right, Taeyong would protect them as much as he could and tried to satisfy them weather its buying ice cream or anything. Indeed Taeyong wouldn't show his feelings but it was true he couldn't sleep at nights, he would keep his eyes closed but would let the thoughts , of the members using him ,  torture him before he falls asleep.  The members tried to find Taeyong alone as Doyoung was talking to Mark and Haechan, they apologized to him and Taeyong knew they meant it. He smiled and forgave them, Taeyong was important to NCT but also to them personally . The promotions continued and they kept giving courage to each other while Doyoung was a little jealous when his boyfriend, Taeyong ,was close to the other members and of course he would be a little aggressive with everyone like always.
