Main character of the story, the maknae of EXCELSIOR, his cool and often unamused demeanour is the reason why everyone mistakes him for being the leader and hyung of the group. Despite his cold appearance, he is deeply affectionate for people he cares for. He was born in Japan to Japanese/Chinese parents but moved to the US a few months after he was born due to his father's work as a comic artist for a big company. He then moved back to Japan when he was starting high school as his father decided to move the family back to their homeland and start his own business, which is now a hugely successful animation firm in Japan. Aoki was scouted by an agent from JYP when he was doing a dance cypher with his friends. In 2015 he auditioned for JYP Global and ended up being the only person in the auditions to pass the whole thing. He moved to Korea and started his training for only one year until he debuted. Is able to speak fluent English, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese and has an affinity to languages (etc. Being able to learn new languages fast)

The hyung of EXCELSIOR, and the main joker and mood-maker of the group. Affectionately calls his dongsaengs his "little walnuts", Jae Young is the charismatic, bright happy walnut that always acts childish and annoys/trolls the hell out of everyone (but then again everyone secretly enjoys it, cause who can resist this adorable floofball?!) He goofs off a lot anytime anywhere and he relishes it. But when the occasion arises he immediately turns serious and will not hesitate to protect his dongsaengs if harm ever comes upon them. Auditioned for JYP at the age of 15, trained for 6 years before debuting. Loves reading both Korean and Japanese manhwas and watching anime. Fluent in Korean and Japanese.

Benedict Artemius Drew Lee, or more commonly known as his stage name, BAD, is the mother to the EXCELSIOR family. He constantly fusses the boys around on/off camera regardless and is in charge of cooking and the dorm's cleanliness. He's a bit of a no-jam and constantly finds himself the of everyone's jokes, Jae Young's and Dae Kyung's especially. Despite his motherly nature, his deep voice does not match his personality. Deeply cares for s and tries his hardest to care for them in any way possible. An underground rapper from a young age, he was scouted in an underground rap competition final (he didn't win) at the age of 17, which was impressive considering the amount of competition from more older and experienced rappers. BAD passed his auditions and went on to become a trainee, making his debut with his EXCELSIOR. Born and raised on the sunny beaches of Santa Monica, California to Chinese/Korean parents, he spent most of his childhood and teenage years there when family circumstances forced his family to move to Korea at the age of 15, by then he was already a young aspiring rapper. He hung out a lot with black friends (though its fair to say that he also had plenty of friends from other races too) and their culture shaped his path onto becoming a rapper.
