꽃길 / giftThe next day in the afternoon, Sojung picks Eunha up from school as usual, though jittery about their first time home alone together.
"Eunbi yah, do you like ShinB?" Sojung starts with a question.
The child tilts her head first, and with squinted eyes, she shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know."
Sojung tries not to mind the scepticism she hears in Eunha's voice.
"But she's pretty," Eunha says next, with a small smile.
"Is she?" Sojung laughs.
"Yes, her long hair is nice," Eunha grins.
"Would Eunha like to keep your hair long too?" Sojung chuckles.
"Can I?" Eunha almost jumps in excitement.
The glitter in her eyes makes Sojung's heart melt. "Sure," she smiles.
"You know the games we played when you were younger?" Sojung asks, "You can look for them in the drawers, and play with ShinB later when unnie goes for work again."
The child gasps and starts jumping in excitement, while Sojung’s hand suffering from a series of tugs as the jubilant child exclaims, “I haven’t played those in so long!”
Sojung chuckles heartily and at the back of her mind, more ideas of how the two children could spend their time at home alone start popping up. “Alternatively you could do your homework and teach her what you learn in school, tell her about school or just talk to her about anything you want,” she smiles.
“Okay,” Eunha’s wariness of ShinB slowly dissipates as her excitement of the first afternoon with a companion bubbles in her mind.
They return home to see ShinB obediently working on her colouring books as instructed. Eunha could not have been more excited to be home that day because for the first time in almost forever, she is going
