"Happy birthday my baby" Chaerin says picking up her two year old baby boy.

Her little man smiled widely showing his eye smile, his eyes resembled his father very much as well as many features of him. The only thing that he has of Chaerin is her eye color other than that he's a mini version of the man she met almost 3 years ago.

"Who is two?" Dara asks happily "my favorite baby is two today!" Dara says picking him up and kissing his cheeks.

"Mama mama" Minho said extending his arms towards his mom.

Dara gasps "no, auntie Dari" she says in her baby voice.

Chaerin smiles at her best friend "you spoil him too much!"

"Wait until you see the party I organized for later, everyone will be there" Dara claps

Chaerin nods her head "how is Donghae?"

Dara smiles at the mention of her boyfriend "he'll be at the party today"

"Tokki I said no parties" Chaerin says pouting

"Minho only turns two once, we have to go big" Dara says excusing herself

Chaerin smiles "aw what would I do without you wifey??" chaerin asks and hugs her friend

Minho take advantage and hugs his mom

Chaerin kisses her baby's cheek and Minho wraps his tiny arms around her neck "mama"

Dara looks at the interaction "he looks so much like his dad" she commented

"I know-"

"Dada!" Minho says excitedly

Hearing those words breaks Chaerin's heart, he calls Donghae 'Dada' and she's glad Donghae and Dara don't mind but she wishes Minho had a father figure in his life.

"I heard his new song" Chaerin admits

"Who you is quiet good" Dara admits "I have to confess something" Dara adds

"What?" Chaerin asks confused, she doesn't like to keep up with his life because he never contacted her. She knows he got married almost two years ago but that's about it.

"There are rumors about him and his wife.."

Chaerin looks at her son and Dara looks at him too

"His wife and him are expecting their first child" Dara whispers

Chaerin smiles "I'm happy for him, truly.. I love my son and I'm glad I have him in my life.. I know he will never know about my little Minho" Chaerin admits, she knows Minho's father will never be involved in his life as sad as it sounds.

She wouldn't even know who the guy was if Dara hadn't dragged her to that concert, it was in her destiny to be a single mom for her son whom she loves with her whole being.

"it , I know Minho would love to have a father figure in his life" Dara comments

Chaerin shakes her head yes "don't worry, I'm not that old and one day that special man whom will love me and my son will come along" she says confidently

Dara smiles big, she loves how positive and strong her best friend is.

Seoul,

"How is Nana? I heard you two had a fight" YB asks his best friend

Jiyong sighs "she's upset about a show in Japan that she won't be able to walk in the runway"

"Why?"

"She gained a few pounds" Jiyong says nonchalantly "she looks beautiful but she acts like if it's the end of the world"

YB chuckles "I saw rumors about her being pregnant?" he asks

Jiyong chuckles "not true, she gained a few pounds only.. we've been trying but no such luck yet plus she has her career to think about"

"I thought you wanted that"

Jiyong shakes his head no "they'll come whenever they are meant to come.. no rush" he confesses

"Are you ready for LA?" YB changes the que subject

Jiyong smiles widely "yeah, it's been a few months since we've been there"

"You always look amused and excited when you go to LA with the group" YB confesses

"Good memories there, nothing else"

YB smirks "that girl"

"I wonder how she's doing" he wonders

"Probably married?"

"Yeah probably, I can't lie.. sometimes I wish I could run into her" he admits

"Why?"

"It was refreshing talking to her, she didn't know who I was" he confessed

"It was new" YB pointed out

Jiyong shakes his head yes

"Well maybe this visit will be your lucky one, where did she live before?"

"Downtown la"

YB shakes his head understanding.

Two weeks later,

"I can't cancel my trip babe" Jiyong argues "its for work"

"But it's important to me that you-"

He interrupted his wife "I have to go no matter what, why don't you-"

Now it was her who interrupted him "don't go on.. I'll just fly to Japan for those days"

Jiyong smiles "maybe we should start having kids so you don't stay alone when I make trips" he says as he kisses her lips

Nana smiles "we always try babe but nothing, if it wasn't for the doctor that told us we are both good then I would think there was a problem" she admits

Jiyong nods agreeing, Nana has been trying to get pregnant but it never happens. They have tried many things but they don't conceive, they went to get checked out but the doctor after many tests told them they are both healthy to have kids.

"Maybe it's not the right time" he says and kisses her

"When you get back from your trip we need to keep trying" she adds and kisses him again.

"How about we start now?" He asks sneaking his hand down her shirt.

She giggles and lets him do whatever he wants.

Two days later,

Jiyong walks the streets of downtown la, he walked the same path that he took almost 3 years ago when he found her at that club.

He clearly remembers when she said she lived close by, he kept walking until he got to a target he was about to turn back to his hotel when he saw a young boy letting go of his mothers hand who was carrying groceries and ran to cross the street.

He quickly ran towards the boy and grabbed him, his mother gasped "Minho-ah" he heard the voice of his mother.

The woman dropped her grocery bags and ran to her son, she took him in her arms "oh gosh my baby" she says hugging her son.

Jiyong took a good look at the woman and she looked awfully familiar, when she lifted her face to see him he widen his eyes.

"Thank you so much-" her eyes widen when her eyes met his.

"Jiyong?" She asks softly

He smiles but he felt a pain in his chest, a stinging sensation

"Chaerin?"

She nods yes "thank you so much for doing that, I owe you my life" she says thanking him

He looks at the boy in her arms "he's your son?"

Chaerin smiles and shakes her head yes "his name is Minho" she says and looks at her son "say hi baby" she tells her son

Minho shakes his hand greeting him

Jiyong smiles "he's cute"

"Thanks" she says then she looks over to her groceries which are on the floor then she pouts.

Jiyong looks towards them "I'll get a cart" he says and runs to get her a cart to help her out. When he walks back to her with a cart, Chaerin places Minho in the cart seat and with Jiyong's help she gets everything in the cart.

Nothing is broken which she is thankful for, she was afraid that she would need to go back in to target to get new things.

"Thanks Jiyong, I don't know how to thank you enough for your help"

He smiles "it's nothing, don't worry"

Chaerin smiles "how you been?" She asks now more calm

"Good, I'm in the city for work.. how you been?" He asks her curious then eyeing her son

"I've been great, I'm still living in the area" she says wanting to get small talk going

"I see you got married?" He asks looking at her son

Chaerin smiles "I'm a single mom" she corrects him "how about you?"

"I- I'm single" he lied, he didn't know why but he lied without thinking.

Chaerin furrows her eyebrows, she knows he's married.

"I'll help you take this to your car" he says wanting to keep her company

"Sure, it's parked close by" she begins walking towards her car.

He helped her put her groceries in the back of her Chevy Tahoe SUV, she got Minho out of the cart seat "do you want to join us for dinner? It's the least I can do for saving my son's life" she asks him

He nods yes "sure, does your protective best friend still live next to you?" He asks remembering what she said 3 years ago

She chuckles "she lives 3 doors down now, she's living with her boyfriend"

Jiyong laughs and watches as she put her son in the car seat and straps him in

"How old is he?" He asks now curious

"He just turned two, two weeks ago" she comments "get in the passenger seat"

He looks at him closely, Chaerin close the back seat door and got in the drivers seat after a few seconds later and he did the same.

After they were both in the car they kept the small talk going, he asked about her job and she asked about his. Once in her building he helped her take the groceries while she took Minho.

Once inside her apartment she set Minho down and the baby soon went off to play, she helped Jiyong with the groceries.

"Do you want something to drink?" She asks

"Water is fine" he says while walking inside her apartment, she told him where to put the groceries and he happily helped.

Once he had set them down, he looked towards the two year old boy who was playing with building blocks. He stood up and went to sit next to the Minho, he grabbed a block and handed it to the boy.

Minho took it in his hand and sat it on top of another block, he kept mumbling small nothings in a whisper.
