The sun glows radiantly in shades of gold and yellow high up above the noontime sky. As her eyelashes flutter to a close, the rays of sunlight catches them and there's a sort of halo forming right over her head. He smiles to himself before tightening his grip on the steering wheel and pushing the gas pedal harder, lower. They cruise along the scenery; the tall, commercial buildings and skyscrapers morphing into valleys of green and streams of blue before morphing back into buildings, but shorter and shabbier than the ones in Seoul.    Jisoo opens her eyes, and marvels at the sight of Gangwon Province. "It's simple and pretty, I like it." She tells him as she scoots closer to the window, enjoying the view with wide eyes and an even wider smile.    When the city disappears behind barks of trees, Jisoo asks him where they're going even though he's told her not to ask so she can at least be surprised just by the tiniest bit.    Taeyong shakes his head, hes keeping his mouth shut until they get there.    "But you were here last week," she says, crossing her arm as she turns to face him. "You're not taking me to the cliff to jump off it right? No? Wait, are you?! Tae -"   He laughs, cutting her off. He remembers the first time, and the second and the third and the rest after that, that he had asked her to go cliff jumping with him. Even just once. But the thing with Jisoo is, she was quiet and demure and prim and things like extreme sports didn't appeal much to her. She told him she wasn't afraid of heights, but the thought of jumping down a cliff scared her. So Taeyong told her he'll wait when she's ready. Going cliff jumping with her was at the top of his bucket list right now.    "I'm not," he says, still laughing a little. "I'd never ask you to do something you still don't want to do. We're just... going somewhere."    Jisoo seems to relax at his words. She leans back against the seat and tilts her head to the side in curiosity. "Where?"   "Please stop asking." he chuckles.    She pokes fun at him for a little while, before she stops and they fall into this kind of comfortable silence but Taeyong is far from comfortable. He was actually nervous and kind of anxious, because what if he didn't meet her expectations? Although she did tell him whatever he had in mind she would be all go for it, still he needed some reassurance and support.    He was so lost in his thoughts, he almost missed the entrance to the beach. The car went off road and five minutes later, Taeyong parked the car under a large Korean pine tree. He unbuckled his seatbelt and when he looks to his right, Jisoo is already out of the car and running towards the sea with open arms.    His heart swelled with pride at himself. Her reaction was the reassurance he needed all along.    He opens the car door and when he steps out, something crunches under his boat shoes. He looks down and sees blue pinecones littering the sandy soil. The air wasn't humid, thank goodness, and the leaves let in little to no light which was good. The breeze coming from the sea made the area feel cool. They were the only ones around.    He glances once at Jisoo, who was crouching down and picking up seashells, before he walked to the trunk and got out the large picnic basket he prepared yesterday with the help of his neighbor who was studying culinary arts.   He told Bona about his plan and although she didn't sound quite as impressed, she still did encourage him to "go for it".   The sky was an azure sort of blue, bluer than the pinecones. He kicked some aside and laid a black and white stripped mat over the now bare ground. Then he laid a plain white blanket over it and whilst he was preparing and setting the food and plates; she only looked back at him once and when she did, Jisoo called his name.   "Sort of busy!" he called back. He placed the plates beside each other, and the utensils on top of them. The food were laid out in plastic containers and holders before him. When he looks up, Jisoo was running towards him with her hair flying behind her. She kicked off her plain red Keds shoes and sat cross-legged beside him.   "You prepared all of this for us?" She asked, gawking at the food, the basket, the blankets, the utensils and everything. She surveyed the surroundings with a smile before she looks at him, the smile growing even bigger.    He recalls this morning, when he picked her up and told her to dress up accordingly incase she dressed too casually or too grandiose. She dressed just right; jean shorts, plain shirt, durable shoes and a bright smile. They were only going down to Gangwon, because he felt like a picnic by the beach would suit the both of their tastes best. It was like a combination of sorts, of him and her. He liked the outdoors, and Jisoo liked water. He had an idea to go to a lake, but decided against it because of his trip to Gangwon just last week with Yuta and Youngho.    He likes how she said "us", because he did prepare it for the both of them and not just him or her. But together, the two of them.    "Eat," he said, handing her chopsticks and a spoon. "I had some help cooking, just so you know. I can't cook this many on my own in a day or even two." he admitted.    Jisoo didn't seem to mind, after saying her thanks, she dug in and helped herself out. Taeyong scoops up a spoonful of dried red beans and she eats them happily.    "We used to go on picnics before." She said after swallowing. She turned to look at him, chopsticks frozen in the air and a sad sort of smile playing between her lips. "When dad was still with us, before they filed a divorce."    Taeyong doesn't know what to say, he just prods her to go on. He knew she had a single mom and she never talked about her father, so this was surely a first. He moves closer towards her, because he wanted to listen to whatever she had to say. Who knew when the next time she would be this open to him.    "We used to go to the park or by the lake before I almost drowned there. Mom would cook, Dad would sometimes set up a grill and Jennie and I would just play and later after eating, we'd play games like cards or go cloud watching with our parents and who ever spots the funniest shape of cloud wins." she laughed a little at the memory, but even her laugh had a sort of sadness etched behind it. He could hear it, even from behind her facade.    "The last time I went on a picnic, was a month before my dad filed for a divorce with my mom. I was 12." She said bitterly. Jisoo had foggy eyes, the kind that were hard to read. "And the last time I went to a beach, it was with my cousins. I was probably 14 or 15. It's been a long time, sorry if I weirded you out by running to the sea."   He chuckles and shakes his head. "No, it's fine. It was actually really cute." he said, his voice and tone a little lighter. It was a good idea then; to bring her out here for a picnic. She's doing things for the first time in a long time with him, and Bona seemed like she had no clue about Jisoo's family picnics in the past, so it meant that he knew something about her that her closest friends didn't.    Again, he felt a sense of pride swell inside him.    "I'm glad you thought of this." she said, waving a
