PROLOGUE:

My name is Mei Lee. When I was a year old, a family adopted me. I knew I was adopted because I was told when I was four. We would always celebrate the day the family adopted me which is September 3rd. We would always call this day Gotcha' Day, because you know, it sounds like got ya' day, the day they got me.

In the family, I had a mom, dad, and a brother that is three years older than me. His stage name is 'Niel' but his real name is 'Ahn Daniel'. He's currently 21 and in a kpop group called Teen Top and he's the leader. He's signed a contract with Brave Sound Entertainment and his group's music and choreography are really good.

I grew up loving dancing ,music and writing songs. I really like Kpop and how they have costumes and good choreography in music videos. I decided that when I'm 19, an adult, that I would train to be a Kpop Idol. I talked to my family about it and they agreed.

When I was 13, I started to really think about if I had any other family out there in Seoul, South Korea. I'm grateful for the family that I have, it would be nice to know if I'm actually blood related to them. I ask the married couple who adopted me if I could take a DNA test. Their answer was 'no'. I asked about the test almost every day. Their answer soon became 'maybe'.

I was so excited that I kept bouncing around and asking them when can I take it. All they would say is 'soon'. It irritated me that I had to wait, but I guess I understand. They probably think that I'm too young and I have to wait when I'm older.

One day, I will find my lost relative(s). I just hope it happens soon!

AUTHOR'S NOTE: How did you, the readers, like it so far? I know in the story description says that Mei got the DNA Results back in 2 weeks, but it's not an accurate time in real life. This is a FanFiction so I can make the waiting time for DNA results as long as I want!

I know Niel is 22 in real life. When this story takes place, Niel is 21(I hope I'm correct)!

You pronounce 'Mei' as the month May.
