Once Chanyeol turns 18, he is to be crowned King. As that day approaches, he is in need of a new personal guard. Many different men have been presented to him, but it seems they are not qualified enough to become the King's body guard. He had just begun to become frustrated by all of the failed applicants, when a messenger returned with bad news. A knight had been slaughtered by a savage in the forest while returning from a trip to a neighboring kingdom. The remaining knights had captured the savage, and brought him back to the kingdom as a prisoner. He was to give orders about what to do with the savage prisoner. Chanyeol had never seen a savage before. He thought he'd like to meet one. And so he demanded that this savage be brought to him, out of pure curiosity.

He missed a lot of things from his home, where his tribe had been left behind, as he was taken to the Castle by some knights, who had attacked after crossing paths in the forest. Using his knife had cost him everything. One swipe of his blade changed his whole life, his whole purpose. He had a new purpose now. One that he hated, but clung to, in order to protect his people. The Kingdom's prince had found a stern interest in Yewe, and took ownership of him, forcing him to conform to the Kingom's ways, and even going as far as to replace his name with something as stupid and meaningless to him, Do Kyungsoo.
