There weren’t many people who came to Anna’s funeral. N didn’t cry at all in her funeral. But, after people left, he cried there.

“mom, I’m so sorry. It’s all because of me, right? Yes. Yes. This is my fault. I’m to blame. I’m terribly sorry, mom.” Said N

Then, he walked home with a heavy step. On the way home, he cried in silence. He didn’t pay attention on the road. He just walked silently, looking down.

Suddenly, there was a middle-aged woman who rode the bicycle, bringing a box on her back rack. His left hand pressed the box to the back rack, holding it so that the box wouldn’t fall.

She startled when a guy walked from the side and appeared in front of her. She couldn’t brake in time, and she ended up bumping him.

She fell with her bicycle and the box fell, breaking its content. N also fell down. His knees hurt and he was startled as well. N got up immediately and he apologized.

“are you okay? I’m sorry.” Said N as he helped the woman.

The woman didn’t respond. She opened the box and she was surprised. Actually the woman brought 20 cocktail glasses in the box. And cause the box fell down, all the glass was  shattered and broken. Fortunately, all the broken glass was still in the box, so that N and the woman didn’t get hurt badly.

The woman got so angry and she yelled at N.

“how could you do this to me?! How am I suppose to eat today?!” yelled the woman

“I’m sorry.” Said N

“look! All the glass is broken!”

“I’ll pay for them. I’m sorry.”

“where the hell did you look when walking?” asked the woman angrily

“I’m sorry. I just spaced out. Are you alright?”

“I’m not fine!” said the woman

Then, her phone rang....

“hello..” said the woman

“I’m sorry. I got into an accident and I broke all the glass.”

“uhm.. yes.. I’m really sorry. I’ll pay for the cost. I’m sorry. What? Uhm.. No.. No.. Please don’t fire me. Yes. Alright. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

She hung up the phone and she looked at N angrily. Then, she started to hit N.

“how could you do this to me? Whose son are you, huh? You jerk!” said the woman

N felt hurt after hearing what that middle-aged woman said.

She hit N endlessly. However, N didn’t even defend himself. Just like when Anna hit him. He was still the same. He never defended himself everytime people hit him.

The road was so quiet that no one saw them. So, the woman hit him again and again.

“She told me not to come to her house for the next three months! And I have to pay those expensive cocktail glasses! This is all your fault! I may be fired from my job!” screamed the woman.

The woman started to grab his hair harshly.

“Arghh..” said N

The woman didn’t stop and she hit him again. N didn’t know why, but he felt somewhat comforted. The woman’s behavior was just the same as Anna. So, N felt like he saw Anna when he saw her. Maybe that’s why he let the woman did what she wanted.

Then a black car passed by and the car stopped behind N and that middle-aged woman. Suddenly a guy got out of the car and he approached them.

“hey, what are you doing?” asked the guy

N looked at him and he was surprised. That guy was the one who he saw in the hospital.

 “oh you...” said N

That guy was Leo. Leo just looked at him expressionless

The middle-aged woman stopped hitting N. She looked at Leo.

“why are you interfering?”

“I’m not interfering. I just don’t get why did you hit your son here? Aren’t there any better places  out there?” asked Leo coldly

“he is my son so I can do whatever I want.” Said the woman

“what? Whose son?” thought N

“bring him home and scold him there. If anyone misunderstand this, you can be sued for abusing your son.”

“alright. We’ll leave.” Said the woman

She then placed the box on the back rack and she pushed the bicycle cause the handlebars were bent.

“let’s go.” Said the woman and N just nodded. They walked away.

Leo got in the car and he started driving again.

“arghhh... That boy is just a trouble maker... Oh..  And where the hell is Anna Kimberly’s house?!” said Leo

“why did you call me your son?” asked N

“can’t you see?” asked the middle-aged woman

“I don’t understand.”

“so that he wouldn’t misunderstand! How old are you? Why are you so stupid?”

“I’m sorry.” N nodded his head

“why do you keep following me till my home?” asked the woman after she got home

“pardon? You are the one who asks me to follow you.” Said N

“anyways, just give me the money for the glass that were broken because of your careless behavior!”

“I don’t bring my money. I’ll come back here again once I bring my money.”

“do you think I’ll believe you?” asked the woman

“if you don’t, then please come with me to my house.” Said N

“is it far?”

“no. Just about 10 minutes.”

“alright then, let’s go now. I don’t have much time.” Said the woman

Then they went to N’s home. N was surprised when he saw a black car who parked in front of his house. The engine was still on

“the car looks like the car back there. Could it be him again?” Thought N

The car had the black-colored window, so N couldn’t see the person inside.

“hey, why are you spacing out again?” asked the woman

“I’m sorry.”

Then they entered N’s house.

“would you like a cup of hot tea?” offered N

“no. Just give me the money, now.” Said the woman

“alright. Wait a minute.” Then, N walked to his room. He opened the drawer and he took out the money. He placed it inside an envelope. That was his money from winning the swimming competition last month. He planned to give it all.

“here it is.” Said N

Then the middle-aged woman opened the envelope and she counted the money.

“is that enough?” asked N

“yes, this is more than enough.” Said the woman as she smiled.

“oh... I’m glad.” Said N

“then I gotta go.”

“could you stay a little bit more?” asked N

“why?”

“uhmm.. This may be cringe worthy... But.. Uhmm... You resemble of my mother.” Said N

“your mother? Who?”

“Anna Kimberly.”

“I don’t know her.”

“I see. However, you really do resemble her.” Said N

“in what aspect?”

N didn’t answer. That middle-aged woman only resembled Anna’s temper. So, of course N wouldn’t tell her about it cause it might hurt her feeling.

“uh! What’s wrong with me?” thought N

“if you have nothing left to say, I’ll go home now.”

“wait. How should I address you?”

“just call me Ms. Kim”

“alright, Ms. Kim, can I visit your home sometimes?” asked N

“sure.” Said the woman friendly. Then she went back home. N offered to walk her home, but Ms. Kim refused.

N was a bit surprised when he knew that money could change someone. A moment ago, that Ms. Kim was an abusive person, and now, after N gave the money, she changed to be a friendly person. However, N didn’t mind it. He felt comfortable with her anyway. Yes, cause she resembled Anna.

 “what? Am I wrong? Why is he there? Is this his house? Then what relationship does he have with Anna?” said Leo to himself.

Then after he saw the middle-aged woman left, he became more confused. Finally, Leo got out of the car and he knocked the door.

N opened the door and he was surprised to see Leo

“oh, why are you here?” asked N

“is this Anna’s house?”

“yes. I’m her son. May I ask you what makes you come here?” said N

“what? her son? Wasn’t the middle-aged woman back there your mother?” asked Leo

“what? uhmm.. That’s...”

“I knew that she lied from the first place.” Said Leo

“huh?”

“where is Anna?” asked Leo, changing the subject

N stayed silent.

“where is she?” asked Leo once again.

“she is in the heaven.” Said N

“sorry?”

“she died two days ago and her funeral was held this morning.” Said N

“are you serious?” asked Leo. He furrowed his eyebrows

“yes.”

Leo pushed N inside and he closed the door. Then he slammed his hand against the wall, pinning N against it.

“what... what are you doing?” asked N

N began to struggle, but Leo grabbed his collar

“do you know me?” asked Leo

“what? No.. No.. I don’t. I just first saw you in the hospital, and a moment ago. But I don’t even know your name.” Said N

“then why do hide Anna, huh?” asked Leo

“I don’t hide my mother. She died. She really died.” Said N

“STOP LYING!” yelled Leo

N was startled, but he was angry as well.

“why would I lie something like that?!” yelled N

Then Leo loosened up his grips and he checked on every room in N’s home, looking for Anna.

“why don’t you believe me?” said N

“alright then. I gotta go.” Said Leo

“wait! Who are you and why do you want to see my mom?” shouted N, but Leo ignored him.

Then he ran out to his car and he started driving quickly, leaving N in confusion.

Leo called his father

“hello.” Answered Junkwang

“father, I just met her son. He said that Anna had died.” Said Leo

“what?” asked Junkwang

“yes. What should I do?”

“he might be lying. There’s no way that she died. I saw her about several days ago.” Said Junkwang

“I read his facial expression and I don’t think he lied.” Said Leo

“you sure? Then just bring me her son.”

“excuse me?”

“bring him to me right now.” Said Junkwang

“but what will you do to him?”

“just do what I say!”

“alright. I’ll bring him to you.”

Then Leo turned the steering wheel back to N’s house. Before getting out of his car, he opened the glove compartment and took out the pistol. He saved it in his pants pocket.

“I have to use this to make it easier.” Said Leo.

Knock knock...

N opened the door and he was surprised again

“why do you come back?” asked N

“you have to follow me.”

“sorry?”

“get in my car now.”

“no. Why would I get in your car when I don’t even know who you are?” asked N

“just get in my car when I’m asking you nicely!” said Leo as he took out the pistol from his pants pocket.

“alright, alright.” Said N.

Then, Leo took N to his house.
