She’s too old for this. Krystal groans for the nth time today. Since graduating from college, she focused on work and has long left the party lifestyle. When she first heard about the party, she was partly thrilled, partly lazy. She’s been busy the past week with work that she just wants to rest and sleep forever. However, it’s the long weekend. She can just push her rest a day after. She decides this party could be a nice break from her workaholic lifestyle. Plus, she misses her friends so much.

Luna, her med-school student friend invited the gang to this party. Amber, Sulli, and Victoria looked forward to this and so they pestered Krystal to join too. Let’s take a break from work and re-live the college days! Really, how can she ever turn down her friends?

Okay, this party isn’t just cool – it’s actually great! First of all, they’re in a giant pool! Secondly, they met Luna’s friends and had fun playing games together. Thirdly, did she say they’re in a giant pool?

Catching up, she drinks a long gulp of beer. Ahh, she missed this. After more stories were exchanged, she decided to go get a new drink at the bar. She sees mixed drinks in those familiar red cups. She took one, leaned back on the bar, and watched people dance to EDM music. She considered going to the dance floor as well, after a few more cups of these delicious drinks.

“Hey,” she looked over to where the voice of a man came from her left and was surprised to see him. “We were classmates before. You’re Amber’s friend.” Krystal nodded, unable to speak in surprise.

This guy is the most handsome guy she has ever seen. As he remembered, they were classmates in Biology. He would never have noticed her, if it weren’t for Amber, his childhood friend.

His name is Minhyuk. In their Biology class, he sat quietly and occasionally talked to Jungshin or Amber. He seemed bored in class and she knows for a fact from Amber that Minhyuk never studied lessons at home. Krystal studied hard for that class – paying attention to the professor, taking down notes, and studying at home. However, during exam periods, Minhyuk would always get the highest score, beating Krystal’s whopping 90%. It irked her knowing this Minhyuk guy who’s so smart, cool, and handsome could effortlessly get in her way of academic hierarchy. She could never forget this guy.

“So, what brings you here?” Krystal snapped back to her senses when Minhyuk continued talking to her.

“I, umm, my friend from college invited us. I’m here with Amber as well. So, you’re a med-school student, huh? How’s it going so far?” Krystal spoke slowly, but surely.

“Yeah, it’s kind of fun. I’m in my 2nd year now. I’ve always planned on being a doctor so it’s something I’ve anticipated. It’s just a bonus that I have free time to party and go out with frie
