Xiumins POV

Growing up in a world where being different was seen as something that was against society norm, was categorised differently from everyone else. Under this category, I came under it. Every since I was a child, I knew I was different. When everyone was running carelessly, I was using a walking stick to guide me to places. Being unable to see, made me an easy target to bullies, who tormented and terrorised me daily.

This suddenly stopped, when my teacher introduced Woohyun, the new kid in class. Since the day he approached me in the sand castle, we instantly became friends.

“Anyoung haseyo my name is Woohyun, me and you are going to be the best of friends”

He did not only become my best friend but also my brother. Being my protector, when I was defenceless to my tormenters, standing up for me when I was weak.

I knew Woohyun was popular and  attractive due to people approaching and befriended him. As we got older the feeling as if I was going to lose my only friend started poisoning my mind, causing me to slowly distance myself from him trying to ease the pain. Noticing my strange behaviour, he confronted me

“What’s wrong Xiumin, why have you been acting strange around me? You walk the other way every time I shout your name. Tell me what is wrong, please”

Being unable to see his face made my stomach clench as I heard his voice crack

“I feel as if I am a burden in your life. I hear what people are saying about me, saying things that are the truth. It would be better if you did not have to bear with my extra weight” my voice softens as I said the last sentence.
