Hayi's dad already mentally prepared himself for today's events. He knew that if loosing the position now is bound to happen, its bound to happen. Letting go was a very uncomfortable situation indeed, since after his father-in-law left the world, he had held unto the given position not only for the sake of power and wealth, but because it was passed on to him by a great mentor.

Though originally, Hayi's grandad was not the sole owner of the entire MS group, it became entirely his. Her grand dad was infact the one who saved the MS group when the company was in the brink of bankruptcy because of the original owner's mistakes. Her grand dad bought all the major shares just to keep the company going and saving many employees from being unemployed.

His father in law and Hayi's grand dad named Heejoon, was a very rich man soley because of investments and hard work, he was not the type who was selfish about power.

Back then, the old man was considered as one of the very few successful businessmen who heavily relied on investments alone at the start of his career.  His partnership with his friend in MS makes it not his only source of income.

The original owner of MS group was a proud one. Thus, even if there was friendship, Lee Heejoon was careful not to be in the spot light. He was aware how envy could destroy relationships, so he always gave the credit to his friend, the real owner.

However, because of the bankrupcy issue many people would lose their jobs. Heejoon's friend couldn't find a way to redeem his company, that's why Heejoon offered to help for the sake of the employees and the stock holders.

At first, Heejoon's business partner accepted and was thankful, but not long he became very envious of Heejoon. Everyone in the company hailed Heejoon as their savior, and despised the original owner for his big mistake in his marketing strategy.

Soon, the business partner was so furious and had spread rumors saying that all issues the company was facing were underhanded methods planned by Heejoon in order to take the company for himself. But no matter how the other tries to destroy his father in law's image, most people in the company, especially the lower ranked ones knew who was genuine and who isn't.

Many of those employees have actually waited for the day that his father in law, Heejoon will come and take over the company, since they all knew he was a more stable and smarter business man, although they thought that it would not be likely because of the friendship Heejoon so cares for.

That business partner of Heejoon happened to be Hanbin's grandfather on his mother's side, Jung Sungjin.

As what president Lee knew, Hanbin's mother was an illegitimate child, but was adopted later by her father and step mother. The legitimate wife of Sungjin cannot bare a child, that is why she adopted Hanbin's mom instead.

Nobody knew if she loved Hanbin's mother as her own daughter, but 'word of mouth' says she spoiled the adopted child.

When Heejoon took charge of the company, everybody praised how the company is doing better, this was also one of the root causes of Sungjin's bitterness.

But because Heejoon wants peace of mind, he promised Sungjin that one day, if their grandchildren would marriagable, they would engage them so that someone from Sungjin's bloodline will continue owning the company. 

That is the why Hayi and Hanbin became engaged. Hanbin's dad knew about the promise and had asked his son if it was ok with him to get to know the grandaughter of the other family. Hanbin agreed without the permission of his slightly deranged mom.

Its just a pity now, that Kim Gunho has control over the entire company. It is forseable that the goal of the executives from now on will be all about the profit for themselves and don't care much about the welfare of the whole company, the staff and employees.

As the former president, he had been a supporter of the lower ranked employees, he made sure that there won't be any atrocities towards the small earning ones. Their hopes have now faded away, Kim Gunho became stronger everytime, but he knows the reason behind the immediate boost to power was because of Gunho's dirty tricks.

President Lee gave Gunho the prize this time, but it doesnt mean its gonna be permanent. Just like how he was thrown aside today, no can assure Gunho that the same thing won't happen to him one day.

Finally, Kim Gunho arrived. Hayi's dad stood up like the others and greeted Gunho respectfully.

Kim Gunho was in a good mood today. 'Finally, my presidency will be officially announced' he said in the back of his mind, while secretly glancing at former president Lee who was bowing.

"Thank you for waiting! Let's all have a seat" he proudly said. He was very satisfied with what he sees around him, where everybody respected him, until he sighted something which made him uneasy.

He saw Lee Hayi sitting beside Kim Hanbin, not to mention on Hayi's other side there was also President Wang's famous son. Gunho then looked over towards his daughter who had a smug face while glancing at Hayi and Hanbin. His suddenly felt pity for Jennie 'Lee Hayi's face is really getting thicker and thicker, she even has the audacity to show off even with her dad plumeting to the ground. What a shameless person' he thought bitterly.

"Chairman, President Lee will announce something" Gunho's secretary stated for everybody to hear making Gunho smile secretly.

President Lee stood up as he was given the spotlight to speak. With a proud smile and not a trace of sadness, he looked at Gunho who is sitting beside him. "Today, I am here to announce, that I Lee Byunho will be stepping down from the position of chairmanship in this company. The man beside me, Kim Gunho, is to become the new president, please take care of him" Kim Gunho was very pleased by Byunho's words.

"Also ..." Byunho apparently continued, and this was not what expected from him at all. Neither Gunho or Hayi knew what he was going to say. "I am also announcing my departure from this company" he said it in a stern voice.

Everyone was shocked by this, including Hayi. 'What does he mean? He's resigning?' She asked in her mind. 

'Suddenly saying such thing, what tricks do you have under your sleeves Byunho?' Gunho pondered seriously.

"Sir! What does your words mean to say" a loyal follower of Hayi's dad, who is sitting on the sides asked directly. 

Byunho looked at his junior colleague and friend and said "what I mean to say is that I will no longer be working for this company, I am resigning." As soon as he clarified the matter, everybody in the room reacted, they were mostly confused with the situation. They all knew how much this former president cared for MS group, never in the back of their minds did it ever occur to them that he would be deliber
