8am, Taemin stood in front of the mirror, checking himself if he looked good enough. And with a satisfy smile, he turned to the nightstand to grabbed his phone before walked out of the house. Breathing in the fresh air, he started to walk away.

I’m coming Sori.

Who’s that girl? Well she’s Kwon Sori, his friend in the homeroom class and also his girlfriend. She is actually a year younger than him but since she went to school a year earlier, she’s already in college. Sori is pretty, intelligent and quite independent. She’s also childish and very outgoing, maybe that’s the reason why he found her quite annoying at first when she kept talking to him. Well, blame him for being cute. They just started dating since last month and everyone is really happy when the maknae finally got his first love.

Looked at the paper bag with his gift inside, he smiled again then continued on his way. Passing by the playground, he stopped there for a bit to recall the memories that night. And to his surprise, someone was sitting right at the swing that his noona once sat.

_Mikyoung noona?

_Oh, Taemin-ah! - The older girl face lit up before she ran forward and engulfed him with a hug.

He was so surprise that he just stood there and let her hugs him. She was still the same noona that he known.

_Yah, why didn’t you hug me back? Don’t you miss me? - She pulled away and lightly scolded him.

_Aniyo, it’s not like that noona. - He quickly shook his head - What are you doing here?

_I’m here to see my little brother of course. - She said then laughed - Well actually, I have something to do near here so I decided to pass by for a bit.

_So, how are you doing? - He asked, felling a bit awkward.

_Well, everything is still fine, thank you for asking. Aigoo, our Taeminnie is still so cute! - She said as she pinched his cheek like a habit.

_Oppa!

They both turned toward the source of the voice and found a girl running toward them.

_Sori, what are you doing here? - He asked in surprise.

_To see you of course. - Sori said as she clung to his arm before cautiously looked at the older girl - So, she is…

_Oh, this is my old neighbour, Mikyoung noona. - He quickly introduced - And noona, this is Sori, my girlfriend.

_Your girlfriend? Oh~ she’s pretty. - Mikyoung said amusingly and looked at the clinging girl in his arm - Well, I guess I should go now. It’s really nice to meet you Sori. Merry Christmas.

_Merry Christmas noona. - He waved as the older girl smiled and walked away. He wanted her to stay just a little longer but too bad, it was only a short meeting.

_Oppa, what is that?

_Huh? - Looking back at his girlfriend, he noticed she was looking at the paper bag in his hand - Oh, that’s my Christmas gift for you.

_Whoa~ what is it? - She pulled out the box inside excitedly and tried to shake it.

_Don’t! - He quickly snatched it away from her - You may break it.

_I’m sorry. So what is it? A crystal ball? Can I open it? - She said as she tried to peer into the box.

_Yah, don’t ask too much, It’s my gift so you better take it. - He putted it back into the bag and handed it t her. - And don’t open it until you got home, okay?

He told her sternly as the girl just nodded with a pout. You can hardly see this side of Taemin when he was with his group but when he was with Sori, it would be different. Bringing out the mature boyfriend within the cutie maknae, seem like only Sori could done that.

_So why are you looking for me? - He asked and her face immediately lit up.

_Oppa, I have a surprise for you. Let’s go!

She tugged on his arm and pulled him away with her. She loves to make people happy so whenever there was some kind of event, she would have something in prepared. That’s one of the thing he loves about her. Chuckling, he should have known that this could happen. And just like that, he followed her, waiting for the best Christmas to come since he known he got his girl with him here. And he sure his love was real this year.

10am, Jonghyun was waiting for his girlfriend at the park. Yes, just like Taemin, he already got himself a girl for his own. Her name is Kang Namjin, his new neighbour. Namjin is a bit boyish but still look attractive; she’s strong and stubborn so sometime it’s really hard to change her opinion; she’s fun and likes to , that was how it start. But the things he loves about her the most is the way she always curious and care about him in silence.

He looked at the paper bag in his hand and smiled, there was a small teddy bear inside. Although she said she doesn’t need these kinds of “cheesy” gifts, he still wanted to give her one. And when he was busy thinking about her, someone tapped him on the shoulder.

_Oh, Jihyun. What are you doing here? - He asked in surprise when he saw his first love behind him.

_I’m just wandering around, that’s all. - The girl gave him a small smile.

_Uhm, so… I heard you guys broke up? - He awkwardly trying to start a conversation.

_Huh, I guess so. - She tried to smile but quickly looked away when she felt her tears well up.

_You still love him, don’t you? - He asked but the girl did not answer - Look, maybe he didn’t sleep with that girl on purpose, maybe something came up. You should give him a second chance, let him explain and listen to it. He still loves you, you know?

_How do you know? - She looked at him with teary eyes.

_I just don’t think that he’s that kind of guy. If he was then you think I would let him take you away like that? - He joked, trying to lighten up the mood but the girl just tear up and hugged him.

_I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I underrated your feeling for me last year. I’m really sorry. - As she finally understood his feeling, the girl couldn’t help but sobs.

Surprised by the sudden outburst, he couldn’t say a word. He used to wish to have her in his arms, but this was totally different. Finally, he was able to put his arms around her, trying to calm her down while lightly patting her back. Well, he didn’t blame her, even from the start.

_Yah you dino-puppy!

He quickly looked up and hastily let go of the girl in his arms when he heard that familiar voice. Even Jihyun got shock when she saw who it was. In front of them was Jonghyun’s current girlfriend, Namjin.

_I can go now right? - She tried to keep a straight face and walked right away.

_Namjin-ah! - He called but the girl just kept walking away.

_Omo, I’m so sorry. - Jihyun had this troubled and guilty look on her face when she looked back at him - I shouldn’t have done that at all. Eotteokke?

_It’s not your fault. Anyway, I better catch up with her now. - He ran away but not before turned back to her - And remember my words, talk to him okay?

And this time, the girl finally was able to return his smile. Waving goodbye, she stood there and watched him running after his girlfriend before walked away.

_Yah! Wait for me! - Jonghyun grasped her wrist, prevented her from running away.

_What!? - She yelled and shook his hand off.

_Don’t yell, people are looking! - He said but she just kept on walking. - Namjin-ah, that hug didn’t mean anything. Oppa was only trying to comfort her, that’s all.

_I don’t care!

Stopped for a bit, he chuckled at her stubbornness before pulling her in his arms with an embrace. Her face heated up when he putted his chin on her shoulder.

_Yah! What are you doing? Let me go, people are looking! - Feeling embarrass, she struggled, trying to push him away.

_Don’t want to. - He told her sulkily with a pout while tightened his arms around her.

_What do you want? - Sighed, she stopped struggling, knowing that she couldn’t win against him.

_You know what I want. I only have you in my heart, so don’t be jealous. I love you Namjin-ah, you know that right? - He whispered in her ear softly.

She blushed hard as her heartbeat speeded up. It’s not like she doesn’t like those kinds of cheesy stuff, it’s just that they make her blush and he’s gonna , that’s all.

_So, will you forgive me? - He pulled away a little to look at her face but all he got from her was a punch in the chest - Ah! That’s hurt!

_So? - Her boyfriend was looking at her in disbelief making her wanna laugh - It’s your fault that I’m like this after all.

She quickly turned away when a smile played on her lips. Still feeling a bit disbelief, he chuckled before catching up with her and swung his arm around her shoulder. Last Christmas, people just think of him as a player. But not anymore because his girlfriend already proved them wrong, literally.

_Are you sure this will work? - Key nervously asked his cousin.

_It’ll be fine oppa. Anyway, I’ll be going now. And no but! - She quickly said before he could protest - I’m late already. You can do it, just believe in yourself okay? Bye oppa!

_Yah! Ah jinjja, this girl. - He said as his cousin ran away.

You wonder why Key was in front of Cheongnam University? Well, it started with a girl name Seong Minra. She was his neighbour and is his childhood friend. Until 8 years ago, her family moved to California due her father job and she only got back a year ago. Although she lives in somewhere else now, they still keep in touch and their friendship is even stronger than before. And then once again Key fell for his lovely caring childhood friend. Coincident enough, she also going to Hayoung’s college and that’s why he was here, trying to confess. At first, he didn’t want to choose this date, again, to confess but something she said last night left him no choice.

_So, what are you going to do tomorrow, oppa? - Minra asked.

She was on the phone, asking Key about his celebration with his friends and of course it would lead to the topic Christmas.

_I don’t know. Going shopping I guess. - He chuckled - Tell me what you like so I can buy it.

_Yah, you should buy it yourself, not asking me. - She nagged, making him laughs - And beside, I doubt that you can give me that.

_What is it? - He asked, feeling curious.

_Well, since I guess you’re really curious, I want a boyfriend. - She paused for a moment then giggled - But there’s a chance that someone might confess to me tomorrow though.

_Someone? Who? - He felt his breath hitched as she said so.

_Uhm~, someone.

So here he was, trying not to lose his chance again. He actually planned out everything since last night but still didn’t feel good about it so he called his favorite cousin, and thankful that she gave him a wonderful idea for the gift and confession. Looked at the gift in his hand, he just hoped that everything will be okay.

_Key, what are you doing here? - He snapped his head up and found Hayoung walking toward him.

_Oh, I’m just waiting for a friend. - He smiled.

_Friend? Which one? - She asked in puzzle.

_My childhood friend. She just moved back from California last year so you don’t know her. - He explained as she nodded her head - So where are you going now?

_I’m going home to prepare a surprise for my boyfriend. It’s our first anniversary, you know? - She told him excitedly.

_Yeah, I still remember that day. It’s already a year, huh? - He chuckled as the memories didn’t pain him anymore.

_Well, I should be going now. Have a merry Christmas Key. - She smiled and waved at him.

_Merry Christmas to you too.

He waved back at his high school bestfriend as he watched her walked away. Turning back to the crowd of students, he spotted the special girl looking at her phone. And this time, he wouldn’t let anything stop him from calling her anymore.

_Minra-yah!

_Key oppa! - Minra looked up from her phone and ran toward him - What are you doing here?

_Well, I got a gift for you. - He said as he handed her the gift.

_That’s all? - She pouted, feeling a bit disappoint before looked at the gift - What is it?

_Open it. - He smiled, waiting to see her reaction.

She looked at him hesitantly before slowly unwrapped the gift. It was a photo album. She looked up as he motioned to open it and she did. It wasn’t an empty album but there wasn’t any picture either. Instead on each page, she saw a piece of paper with a letter inside. And after flipping through a few pages, a smile suddenly crept up on her lips. And before he knew it, she already swung her arms around his neck.

_Thank you oppa! Thank you for granting me my wish. - She smiled contently.

_What? - He said with a puzzle look on his face - But you didn’t even finish reading it.

_Well, let’s just say that I’m smart enough to figure it out sooner than you thought. - She giggled before pulled away to examine the album - So oppa, do you bring your camera?

_Yes. Why? - He asked, still in puzzle.

_I want to take a photo of us so I can put it in here.

Upon seeing her sweet smile, his lips automatically curved up. Who knows that confess could feel this good? Linking arms with each other, the couple happily walked away while enjoying their time with each other. And so Key finally did it, he got his girl without losing the chance once again.

Also at 2pm, Jinki was making his way to this café calling “Sweet taste”, he was going to meet someone special here. No, not Eunmi. Her name is Soojin, Song Soojin. He still remembers the first time they met her in front of their college, waiting for her cousin, Key. She wasn’t that pretty like Eunmi but her personality really attracted him. She’s childish, cute, funny and kinda weird sometimes but he thinks that trace made her different. He doesn’t have to care about his sangtae since she’s also clumsy and she always says that it was cute. Plus, she also likes chicken! Of course she isn’t that crazy like him but at least there is someone really likes chicken here. And since the others known about this, except Key, they kept on telling him to confess. So that was what he gonna do today.

Stepped inside, he didn’t saw her anywhere so he checked the time on his phone to see if he was early. But no, he was on time. He thought that maybe she got something to do. And so, he found himself a seat near the window.

_Jinki? - He looked up to find a waitress in front of him.

_Eunmi? You work here? - He asked in surprise as the girl smiled.

_Uh, just part time. - She looked around, checking if her boss was on sight before took a seat in front of him - So, what bring you here?

_I’m supposed to meet someone here but she didn’t come yet. - He smiled.

_So you already have a girlfriend? - She smiled as she eyed the gift on the table.

_No, no she’s not my girlfriend. Not yet. - He shook his head and whispered the last part.

Although she didn’t catch the last part but looked at his face, she could already tell that it was someone special. And she couldn’t help but think that he was gonna confess today. A Christmas confession? So romantic~.

_Oh really? Then you should have one. You’re a good guy, you know?

_Well, thank you Eunmi. But I doubt that anyone would love a guy that love chicken more than them. - He joked as both of them laughed.

Even if it seems like no one could replace chicken in his heart, I’m sure that if he loves someone, he would love them more than anything. Beside you can’t get rid of chicken, that’s one of the cute things about him after all. And so they talked for a little while before she went back to work.

2:30pm, still Soojin didn’t come yet. He checked the time again, wondering if she slept over. Even Eunmi would check on him, wanting to see the special girl. As he was trying to call her, someone suddenly rushed through the door, almost tripping on her own feet.

_Oppa! - Jinki looked up as he saw the girl plopped down at the seat in front of him.

_Soojin what’s wrong? Here, drink it. - He said as he handed her his drink and the girl drank half of them in one gulp.

Actually, she did take a cab but because of the carsick, she had to run half of the way to here. Catching her breath, she saw a waitress name Shim Eunmi came and took her order. After the waitress is gone, she turned back to the boy in front of her.

_Did you run here? - He asked.

_Neh. I’m sorry for being late but Key oppa want me to help him with the confession. - She said, wondering if her cousin was doing well.

_What!? He’s gonna confess to Minra today? - He asked, feeling quite shock as she nodded - Not on the same day Key.

_What’s on the same day oppa?

Realized that he just said it out loud, he quickly shook his head, hoping that she didn’t suspicion anything. She just sat there dumbfound for a moment but then remembered that Key tried to confess on this day last year. But it wasn’t just the same day, even the college was the same. What a coincidence. When Eunmi came back with the drink, he quickly composed himself and decided to continue with the plan.

_Anyway, I bought you this. - He pushed the gift toward her.

_Can I open it now?

She untied the bow, feeling nervous to see the gift. Her eyes sparked and her heart raced up as she saw what was inside. It was a beautiful necklace with a rabbit holding on what seemed to be half of a heart.

_Whoa~ it’s so pretty! But isn’t this couple necklace? Where is the other half oppa?

She looked at him and gasped when he pulled out the other half under his scarf. Quickly clapped her hand over her opening mouth, she looked up only to found his sincere eyes. That was when she realized he was talking about himself when he said “on the same day” earlier.

_Would you be my girlfriend?

Her face immediately heated up as she literally froze on her seat. She was wondering if it was true while he was trying his best calm down his heart. In the corner of the cafe, Eunmi was holding her breath as she watched them from a far.

_Are you talking to me? - She blurted out unknowingly.

_What? - And so he laughed before turning back to her - Of course, I’m talking to you. So, would you?

She looked down at her drink and even though she still had her hand over , he could tell that she was smiling. He thought it was really cute. And when she gave him a slight nod, his lips immediately broke into a big grin. Then the next second this cute guy exclaimed, attracting the attention of other customers. Well, he was just too happy to hold it in. After all, Jinki gave his heart away and this year, someone finally took it.

4pm, Minho just done playing soccer with the members in the sport club so he was currently at the college. Since it was Christmas, everyone wanted to go home early so they dismissed one hour earlier. Too bad that this wasn’t in his plan. Stepping out of the locker room, he wondered what to do next before sighed and walked off. Unfortunately, he didn’t meet anyone that have the key to his heart yet which mean he was still single. Girls have their eyes on him but he just sees them as his fan, nothing more. After last year incident, he didn’t think about giving his heart away anymore. If only he didn’t believe in MinA in the first place.

_Hello Minho, long time no see huh?

Getting out his trance of thought, he looked up and got a bit surprise at the person in front of him. Well, speaking of the Devil.

_What do you want MinA? - His voice turned cold as he looked blankly at her.

_Aw~, don’t be like that. We’re not stranger, are we? - Her voice sounded sweet but to him it just like nails on chalkboard.

_If you came here to fool around then I don’t have for it. Now leave me alone. - He tried to walk away but the Queenka kept jumping in front of his face.

_Come on, can’t we just talk for a moment? - He stopped but just because he was trying to keep his temper - Look, since it’s Christmas today, I just want to say sorry about last year. That’s all.

And just like that, he lost his temper. In the next second, he already got her pinned against the wall with his fist slammed right next to her face. Startled, the girl let out a yelp before looked at him, eyes widened.

_What’s the f**k is wrong with you!? - She screamed at his face.

_What’s wrong with me? - He asked sarcastically - The right question is what’s wrong with you and I’m the one who should ask that! What you did to me last year is still not enough!? Don’t ruin my Christmas this year by saying sorry, you should have say that a long time ago already. And even if you did, don’t expect me to forgive you.

_So what if I should have say it a long time ago? And I don’t ask for your forgiveness. - She tried to stay calm but instead she just looked pissed.

He laughed. How can a girl be like this? Doesn’t she have a heart? He thought so.

_That’s just ridiculous. I can’t believe that a girl like you still have the gut to run after that new rising idol. Who knows if he’s really your childhood friend or not.

And at this point, her tears welled up as she pushed him away hardly, shocking the boys. Never once that he saw the Queenka so fragile like this.

_Shut the f**k up! What do you know about me to say that!? You don’t know anything. And you’re not any better than me Choi Minho!

And just like that, he watched her ran away, feeling guilty for being harsh to her just now. He didn’t know why MinA was acting like that but he couldn’t do anything anyway. Heaved a sigh, he turned away ready to walk away when he found a girl not too far in front of him.

_Omo! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to stare like that. I’m sorry.

Startled, the girl quickly bowed at him and walked passes. He found it rather awkward but decided to let it go and continue on his way. What he didn’t expect is the girl was watching him from behind. She didn’t know why she did that either but at that moment she just felt like looking back at him. Suddenly, she saw something sparkling under the ground, right at the place where that guy stood. Walking over, she found a male bracelet lying on the floor. Thinking that it belongs to him, she didn’t hesitant and ran after him.

_Excuse me! Hey! Excuse me! I think you drop this.

Turning around confusingly, he found the girl earlier was running after him. When she was in front of him, she showed him the thing in her palm as he immediately recognized the bracelet Krystal gave him last year. Bringing his hand up, he check the wrist and found that his bracelet was indeed gone. Maybe it broke when he slammed his fist against the wall. Looking back at the girl, he slowly grabbed the broken bracelet in her hand.

_Yes it’s mine. Thank you.

_No problem. - The girl smiled at him - I have to go now. Goodbye.

She bowed at him and turned back before walked away. He stood there in daze, looking at the girl. He thought that she looks familiar somehow. Shaking his head, he turned away and went home.

7pm, Minho was at the old café with his friends again, they decided to meet up to spend Christmas with each other. He was there with Jinki, Jonghyun, Taemin and their girlfriends, Namjin and Sori. Key wasn’t there yet as he said he will go with Soojin and his childhood friend Minra. Since there were more than 5 of them tonight, they had to combine two tables together to have enough space for everyone. They were chatting happily when the door open, revealed Key with a girl.

_Hi guys, this is my childhood friend Minra. - He introduced everyone and we greeted each other.

_Yah Key, I thought Soojin come with you. - Jinki suddenly asked.

_Oh, Soojin told me that she would bring a friend and they will come with each other so I think she will be a little bit late.

After let out a small “oh”, Jinki turned back to his drink. Being the most observant one of the 5, Minho noticed something. First, Key and Minra seemed really close, just look at how stay next to each other. Plus, she was linking arms with him when they walked in here. Second, after hearing that Soojin will come later, Jinki seemed a bit disappoint. He wondered if his hyung ever confessed yet or the girl already rejected him.

_So tell me Minra, have Key always been this naggy? - Jonghyun asked, trying to make a conversation.

_Yah hyung! - Key tried to stop his friend but Minra already answered back.

_Yes, he always nagged at me when we were little. That’s why I nag him back now.

_You do? Omo Key, I didn’t know that she was like that. You two are surely a match with each other. - Jonghyun teased, making his dongsaeng blushed.

_Hyung, are you blushing? - Taemin looked at his hyung amusingly.

_What!? I am not! - He denied, making his girlfriend giggled.

_Don’t deny it Key. - Minho just simply smirked.

_Oh yeah, Soojin just told me this afternoon that you need her help with the confession. So I guess, everything went well?

Everyone looked at Jinki in shock before turned back to Key, firing questions at him. How could he keep this secret from them?

_Okay okay! I admit it okay? - Key said, trying to calm his friend down before turning toward Jinki - And how do you know about this hyung? Were you the one that Soojin met this afternoon?

The older boy started to stutter, didn’t know what to say because he wasn’t prepare to see Key’s reaction. The boys looked at him in curious while the girls just looked confuse. But luckily, the door opened again, catching everyone attention.

_Annyoung, this is my friend Eunyoung unnie. - Soojin stepped in and introduced her friend to everyone.

_Wait, is that you? - Minho suddenly said, making the new girl gasped as everyone turned to them.

_Huh? Unnie, you guys know each other? - Soojin asked, looking surprised.

_Not actually. I saw him this afternoon when I went to see my sister. - Eunyoung looked at her friend before looked back at that strange guy again.

_How did you guys meet? - Jinki curious asked.

_I saw her at the college when she, uhm, found my bracelet and gave it back to me. - Minho answer, skipping the part with the Queenka.

_So your sister is studying at our college? Wait, can I know her name? - Jonghyun asked, making the girl felt confuse.

_Uhm, her name is Miyoung, Hwang Miyoung.

The boys including Sori gasped as soon as they hear the name. Hwang Miyoung or also known as Tiffany is one of the Queenka in their college, but she’s a good one unlike MinA. No wonder Minho found her familiar, it’s because she shares the same eye smile as her sister.

_Yah! Stop staring, guys. It’s rude. - Key suddenly broke the silence and turned to Eunyoung - Please take a seat.

And so they started to introduce everyone to each other again. Although Minra and Eunyoung didn’t know much about the others, they still got along quite well. They continued chatting with each other and Jinki silently thank god as no one remembered to ask about his date with Soojin. Everyone was busy asking about Eunyoung as Minho just listened, wanting to know more about the girl. Then suddenly Jonghyun clapped his hands, getting everyone attention.

_Since we’re the usual customers in here, I asked the owner for a little permission.

The girls got surprise when all of the boys got up from their seats and head toward what seem to be a small stage. Each one of them grabbed a mic before turned back to looked at the girl. Seem like they prepared a little performance today.

_Well, since Jonghyun suggested it, we decided to sing a song. - Jinki started, making everyone in the café looked at them.

_We all agree to choose this song since the story really suit us. - Jonghyun explained.

_The story is about how our heart was break in Christmas. - Key said.

_And how we’re gonna start again. - Minho continued.

_We give you: Last Christmas. - Lastly, Taemin ended the small speech.

Music started to play as the girls looked at them. Everyone known that Jonghyun and Jinki are good at singing, but they didn’t know that the other three could also sing.

Jonghyun started as the memories flashed through their head. Last Christmas was truly heartbreaking for them. The feeling of hurt, despair and regret.
