Chapter 5

Moments

Soo Jin

In my life, one good thing ultimately led to another bad one.

The day we broke up was no different.

My happiness, unfortunately, did not last for long.

In the back of my classroom I am an enigma.

My teacher often glances at me, sitting without even a sheet of paper, almost opening his mouth to scold but eventually returning to whatever it is that he was doing.

If my phone rang, I made a point of answering it.

My classmates stared at first, now they only glance and turn away in disgust, rolling their eyes.

My brother sent me a message.

 The results are in.

I m almost afraid to read the next line. The hair at the back of my neck stands straight.

 Positive.

That day, the first time since I was 12, I cried.

Silent tears. If I could have screamed, my wails would have rocked the entire world.

The class was disturbed, quite suddenly, by someone at the front.

Then, just as suddenly, all eyes were on me.

I was in too much pain to bother pretending.

I was in too much pain to fake it.

Ah this story is so good! :O Got me interested in reading until the end :'DD Real great work, just it was a little confusing because the first chapters didn't have quotation marks xD But the plot and ending were awesome :3
