"Eleven. Repeat all of them; what do you think?"
Fridge Post-its"Hyung," Changkyun gently opened the door and went towards one of the rooms of their apartment. His eyes shimmered, and he was still wearing his backpack, posture upright and confident.
Inside, the small figure lied in their bed, a peaceful look in his eyes. He looked emaciated, his arms encircling the white blanket looked much bigger than his body. The figure flinched at the sound of the creaking door, but when he turn, he smiled.
"How's the test?"
"First semester done," Changkyun pulled a chair, sitting down. "I passed."
"The best?" Kihyun asked weakly. His hair has thinned out and his dark eyes made Changkyun's stomach churn; his eyes felt hot, but he looked away.
"Close to that." Changkyun said, desperate to contain his tears.
"Changkyun, its fine — the doctors are positive, right?"
"I know." The younger held his right arm. His face were hidden from Kihyun, but Kihyun noticed the drops from his eyes and tighten his grip on the younger's hand.
"Changkyun, look at me," Kihyun said. Changkyun looked away momentarily.
"there's nothing anymore to angst about, except for the bills, but even we got through that."
Changkyun chuckled, slowly turning back to the bed, but his gaze were still focused at the edge of the bed. "I know, I know."
There was a momentary silence between the two, when Kihyun noticed a blue paper at the back of Changkyun's red bag. He looked at Changkyun, confused.
"What's the paper for?"
"Oh," Changkyun turned, walking. There was the 'Five Rule at the apartment' thing, but he saw the numbers crossed out. Changkyun flipped it, a sheepish smile in his face. Kihyun stared at it, before his lips broke into a grin.
#6 Respect is earned.
#7 Letting go is hard, so just focus on getting the outcome.
#8 Great minds do think differently.
#9 To be forgiven, you change.
#10 You conquer by working together.
"To be honest with you, everything from six to eight is making me cringe," Kihyun grinned. "are you crossing out the first five?"
"I don't really find use for them anymore." The younger shrugged.
"Actually, you do," Kihyun said. "if someone's trying to rob this apartment, I mean."
"You're ridiculous," Changkyun rolled his eyes. "I love you."
"It's not naysay, brother," Kihyun moved closer, patting his younger brother's head. "I love you too."
