12 hours after my flight from Australia to Korea, I have finally laned in Seoul.

This. is. kina. KINDA REALLY. terifying.

I walk out the doors after finding my bags, and I see Joshua, hes the leader of this whole english teaching program. Also he's one of my best friends!

"Aaayyyyyeeeeeee its my gurl Chrissss~" says Joshua as he runs up to me.

(Chris is short for Christina. aka my english  name)

After hugging and screaming at eachother, we finally make our way to his car.

"Okay, so heres the place you'll be staying in for while you're in Korea" he says as he hands me over a paper.

"nice, as long as i'm in Seoul, im cool with it"

"Yah! like its pretty nice..i think. " says Joshua

...

After an hour or so we arrive at my apartment. Joshua helps me with my bags and shows me around.

There was a gym, my favourite place. He made his way back home after.

...

My teaching starts next week, I wanted to come to Korea one week early to settle down. Looking at the clock it was 5:30 PM.

'gggrrroowwl...'

damn. Im starving..what can i eat tho...

I search up some nearby restaurants to go to. Next thing you know, I was eating jjajangmyun.

There was one thing my mom told me to do after I move in to my house.

"You must gift some fruits or rice cake to your neighbors to show respect and to make new friends!"

I remember there was only one house across from mine so I decided to buy one fruit basket from 7/11 on my way home.

.... 30 minutes after

'ding dong...ding dong...ding dong...' I ring my neighbor's door bell.

" I guess no body is home..?" as I say, I leave the fruit basket with a small note infront of the door.

The moment I turn around to walk back to my house, someone opens the door and i hear...

"nae?"

(Nae/ 네?: this translates to "yes?")
