Hey" Sungmin smiled to the person on his phone screen

"Hi baby" Kyuhyun smiled back "I miss you" Kyuhyun was on business trip and it had been a week since he hadn't had time to go back, at first it was only for a week but with the amount of things he needed to take care of Kyuhyun doubt he could go home in another few more days, maybe one more week "what are you doing?" 

"Someone had been sulking because his appa broke his promise to go home in a week so I need to go fetch him after his taekwondo class and we're planning to eat nice food now" Sungmin showed Sandeul, their one and only son who was busy talking with his friend from far, Sungmin sat on one of the chair watching his son until the lesson finish in 15 minutes

"Am I in trouble again?" Kyuhyun chuckled, but it could be seen that his heart actually was hurt, he wanted to join Sungmin too but the works couldn't be neglected too

"I guess so, you can talk to him later, he had been askin about you for many times since few days ago when you said you couldn't go back in time, we miss you"

"Uh I wish New York was just a few kilometers only" Kyuhyun pouted

"Don't be silly, it's ok I understand but maybe Sandeul hasn't had reach that level of understanding, anyway here he comes, say hi Deullie-ah" Sungmin turned his phone so Sandeul could see Kyuhyun

"Appa!!!" Sandeul's voice was so loud that Sungmin was startled but smiling proudly afterwards

"Don't be too loud Cho Sandeul, remember about manner" Kyuhyun chuckling proudly when Sandeul nodded "how was the lesson?"

"Awesome I know appa is too old to fight so I will protect daddy instead of you appa, you can just sit back and watch" Sanduel laughed when Kyuhyun 'YA' was heard "appa you know..." Sandeul stopped talking when he saw Kyuhyun's attention moved from him to another person who just went in to Kyuhyun's room, Sandeul couldn't hide his disappointment, Sungmin saw it and took the phone from Sandeul

"What's wrong baby?" Sungmin ruffled Sandeul's hair "it's okay just wait for a moment remember appa is there to work" Sandeul nodded and smiled weakly to his daddy, few minutes later Kyuhyun was back to the phone screen with apologetic face and Sungmin knew it wouldn't be good

"I'm sorry, I have emergency meeting to attend, will talk to you guys later, sorry Sandeul-ah" without waiting for Sandeul respond Kyuhyun off his phone and Sungmin literally wanted to smack Kyuhyun for that

"Hey, don't be sad, you know appa is busy and it's morning there of course he needs to work, we can call him again later" Sungmin was hurt too when Sandeul didn't say anything "hey, let's grab an ice cream I know you love it" Sungmin hug Sandeul from the side and whispered him some comfort words "it's okay daddy is here deullie-ah"

Sungmin kissed Sandeul's forehead and whispered him good night, after reassured his son that Kyuhyun loved him more than anything else in this world Sandeul finally smiled a bit but Sungmin knew what Kyuhyun did was a great shock for the 7 years old boy and Sungmin was so ready to strangle Kyuhyun when he back from his trip later

"Daddy" Sandeul called up when Sungmin was already ready to leave the room

"Yes baby?" 

"Appa... He loves me right?" It was a great shock for Sungmin to hear his son doubt Kyuhyun's love for him, no matter how busy Kyuhyun was Sungmin would call him soon to talk about this matter

"More than anything" Sungmin smiled and closed the door when Sandeul whispered okay

As if Kyuhyun could read Sungmin's mind from far, he called Sungmin right after Sungmin settled down on his bed ready to call Kyuhyun

"Speak of the devil" Sungmin mumbled

"Hey min I don't know why I have bad feeling for the past few hours is everything alright there?"

"Our son is not alright and thanks a lot that particular someone who makes him turned gloomy even after ice cream"

"Who's that someone wait until I comeback and I'm going to give a lesson to that person"

“It’s you” Sungmin rolled his eyes

“Me? What did I do?”

“And here I am wondering why I agreed to marry someone so bold like you”

“It’s because I’m…” before Kyuhyun could say handsome Sungmin already cut him off

“You hung up on Sandeul when he was about to tell you something”

“Oh… no…. damn…” Kyuhyun ruffled his hair feeling frustrated

“Yeah… no…” Sungmin sighed

“What should I do then? Sandeullie won’t even smile even if I bought him boxes of toys from here, he’s not that easy” Kyuhyun stood up from his seat looking at the vast view of New York in front of him

“I don’t know, I’ve done my part to make him happier but the rest will be up to you”

“Well I guess I found one good idea” Kyuhyun suddenly smirked

“Hold on… I have bad feeling about this”

“Trust me for once min”

“I trusted you and eventually it led to something worse” Sungmin closed his eyes worriedly didn’t even bother to listen on what Kyuhyun said after that

“Do your best ok? Daddy will cheer for you from here” Sungmin smiled while tidying up Sandeul’s hair, that day was Sandeul exam day and the 7 years old boy had been extremely nervous since the day before he heard from his friends the exam was really hard but inherited high confidence trait from his appa Sandeul didn’t want to give up

“Thank you appa” Sandeul forced a smile and jumped when his coach called his name, Sandeul waved a goodbye to Sungmin and ran to his coach

“Ready Sandeul? Today you have to fight this person in order to pass this exam” Sandeul flinched a bit, so it wasn’t just to show some moves to his coach? While Sandeul still lost in his own thought the person who supposed to be Sandeul’s partner came in “there he is” Sandeul’s coach smiled while Sandeul couldn’t keep his mouth shut once he saw his ‘partner’

“Appa what are you doing?!” Sandeul frowned looking as confused as Sungmin who was on the side watching in shock, he knew Kyuhyun must be up to something weird again but soon he smiled happily looking at the unique meeting between Sandeul and Kyuhyun that day after cold war two days ago

“I’m your partner Sandeullie, so come and fight me if you want to pass” Kyuhyun grinned proudly, once the coach said ‘start’ they both bowed to each other, Kyuhyun smirked to his son there was no way he would lose to a 7 years old boy, those confidents he had in mind soon changed to a loud scream when Sandeul kick him in no time, Kyuhyun fell down to the floor in a second

“I told you appa, you are too old to fight” Sandeul ended up the fight with a smooth bow and walked happily to his daddy

“Hey I wasn’t ready you know, and where did you kick just now oh my God don’t you want a cute little brother or Sister Cho Sandeul?” Kyuhyun asked once he recovered from embarrassment and walked towards Sungmin and Sandeul who was giggling together

“Uh… I’m sorry for that appa, but anyway what are you doing here? I thought you are busy” Sandeul whispered the last words secretly too shy to tell his appa he was still feel upset

“Someone is still angry I guess” Kyuhyun smiled and crouched down to the same level as Sandeul’s eyes let Sandeul saw how he missed him “Appa is sorry ok Sandeul? I’m so sorry for hang up on your phone, I’m so sorry I couldn’t pick you up from your practice and grab ice cream with you like what I had promised, will you forgive this pathetic appa?” Kyuhyun hugged Sandeul when he nodded slowly and mouthed ‘ok’ to Kyuhyun, the young appa couldn’t feel any happier than that moment after weeks of missing his small family a lot while struggling with his works everything was worth it when he saw the smile on his one and only son and on that moment both Kyuhyun and Sungmin who was watching the reunion of his spouse and his child silently feeling that they both were really blessed to have Sandeul in their life

“I love you appa” Sandeul whispered still didn’t let go Kyuhyun’s hug “happy belated father’s day”

“And I wonder when will you stop grinning like an idiot over that video, I shouldn’t have showed you that” Sungmin tried to snatch his phone back but Kyuhyun prevented him to do so

“Wait just one more time!” Kyuhyun replayed again the video Sungmin took that afternoon when Sandeul told Kyuhyun how much he loves him and hugged Kyuhyun tightly “look at this cute boy of mine, so adorable when he said ‘I love you appa’ I think I’m going to make this as my ringtone” Kyuhyun grinned proudly again but stopped once he saw a notification from Sungmin’s phone, in one glance he saw the message ‘I miss you’ “CHO SUNGMIN!!! Ya!!! Don’t tell me you were cheating on me while I was away? Who is this Choi Joong Heon? Min?? Min??” Kyuhyun shook Sungmin who was already sleeping just now “Ya wake up tell me who is this guy??”

“Can you just be quiet Kyu, Sandeul is already sleeping you just going to wake him up again just give me back my phone and go to sleep!” Sungmin took his phone back when Kyuhyun was still in shock

“Hey don’t go back to sleep first we need to talk about this guy! Cho Sungmin! Cho Sungmin! Ya Cho Sungmin!!!!!” Kyuhyun still trying to get the truth from Sungmin while the latter just grinned happily after successfully teased his husband

“Welcome back kyu, glad you are back” Sungmin whispered and tried his best to sleep despite Kyuhyun nagging beside him
