little steps (coming back to you)
“How could you betray me like this, Fan?! You have embarrassed me in front of the whole nation as a wife who can’t handle her husband so he went stray with another woman!”
“Don’t you dare to accuse me of cheating with Yixing when all he did was to help me to go through this mess that you’ve created!”
“Papa, go? Papa, don’t!”
“Fan, I don’t know what to say. You have made a big mistake towards your wife and your children. Even though I am your sister, I couldn’t help you much with this. You are my brother but you are still wrong and you have to bear the responsibility of your action.”
Yifan woke up with a jolt, head pounding and heart filled with uneasiness. What had he done to his family?
He stared at the wedding ring on his left hand, the one that he chose with Junhee and had her name engraved on it, moreover than that, her name was forever engraved in his heart, he would never cheat on her. But why did the nightmare seemed so real?
He turned around to find that Junhee, to find some anchor in his unsteady life, just to find a cold spot beside him. Junhee was long gone and it sent a pang of uneasiness in his heart not to see her. If the nightmare was real, how could had he bear not see her in daily basis?
He saw her, wearing her worn out tshirt and short, hair tied into high ponytail to keep them out of her face, humming while cooking breakfast. It was simple but it was the real Junhee that he had fallen in love with. And Yifan couldn’t bear any second longer away from her.

Junhee shrieked when a tall and hard body suddenly pushed into her, a pair of long arms encircled her waist and Yifan unceremoniously nuzzled his face into her neck, not caring he had to crouch to meet her height and breathed deeply into her skin.
It was hard not to blush at the intimate action and it made her remember how she woke up this morning, limbs tangled with Yifan’s and their bodies curled, trying to find warmth from each other. She immediately bolted out once she woke up, carefully not to wake Yifan up. But now, Yifan had made it harder to resist him.
“What are you doing?” She wiggled, trying to release his hold on her, face flamed with embarrasment. But Yifan tightened his hold on her instead.
“Just a moment. Please...” He mumbled, warm breath puffed against her neck, slumping his head tiredly on her shoulder, “I had nightmare last night.”
Junhee wanted to laugh at the behaviour. Jongin was exactly the same as his father when it came to nightmare. He wouldn’t release his hold on her before Junhee was able to calm him down.
“Want to talk about it?” She asked, gently running her fingers on his short hair, massaging the scalp and smiled when Yifan purred in satisfaction.
“It’s just... I dreamed about us, yelling and screaming at each other, Jongdae and Jongin telling me not to go and Luhua’s disappointed face.”
Junhee stopped abruptly, did he remember now?
“It was horrible.” Yifan sighed. “But it’s alright now, as long as you are here with me.”
Junhee didn’t have anything to say, stood rigidly as Yifan held her in his arms. And Yifan, if he noticed anything strange, didn’t say anything to ruin this moment with her.
“I love you, Kim Junhee.” He leaned to kiss her right cheek and Junhee resisted the urge to cry right then. From the corner of her eyes, she could see that Yifan was still wearing his wedding ring, while hers was a completely different ring now.

“What time are you going home tonight?” He asked when they were having breakfast.
“Maybe around 6pm? Why?”
“We are going to pick you up at work. These guys here want to eat with Mama so bad. You couldn’t make it last night, so I figured we can eat out tonight.” Yifan nudged at Jongin’s side, making the toddler giggled happily. “What do you want to eat?”
“Chicken!” “Pizza!” “Ice cream!” “Chocolate!”
The boys continued to scream out their favorite food and it made Junhee smiled seeing the boys were so happy, planning their
