Kang Gunyoung, a mysterious man whose life is separated into two. He lived with the name of a fisherman to raise his family in the countrysides of Japan. Without his family knowing, he hid his other secret life - his wealthy background. Before he could reveal the secret to his own family, his wife and his two daughters, he was reported missing and dead during the economic crisis which occured in Japan. His wife, Choi Misun, had to live alone while trying to raise her two little daughters, Kang Jaemi and Kang Juhui.

Kang Jaemi is a smart, down-to-earth, anti-boys college student who is killing her body with her endless part-time jobs to support her family. She lived fatherless since she was still 11. She was raised, feeling she had to protect her family from being bullied by the yakuzas - being the man of the house.

On her 21st birthday, her mother revealed the contents of her father's journal to her. He had two copy of wills. The original copy is in the hands of the Kim family - for safety reasons. To get the original copy of the will and to know the actual content of the will, she will have to marry the Kim family's only son, Kim Jaejoong, and hopefully helped by the Kims to save her family in Japan.

With a heavy heart to leave her mother and sister alone in Japan, she had to travel all the way to Seoul, South Korea to meet the Kims. Will her family be saved and will her life be ever more peaceful with Jaejoong in her life?
