Mark is a village boy who lives with his grandpa (or so he calls the man who has taken care of him ever since he was found on the side of the road when he was only ten). He is a quiet and loving boy who grew up to love the little things in life. Used to poverty and the simple life, Mark never complains but rather gives thanks for being able to have a roof over his head and food on the table. He gives thanks for the beautiful bird whistles that wakes him every morning or the flowers that grow on the garden he along with his grandpa grew together or the river where he finds himself at most afternoons. Most of all, he is thankful for his grandpa--the man that took him in and has since gave him love and protection. 

Jackson is the total opposite. Jackson grew up as the only child of the multimillionaire Mr. Wang-- owner of the Wang industry, a famous and respected retail business with headquarters all over Asia. His parents were never home leaving little Jackson at the care of the house's servant workers. As he grew up he became a cold man who never knew about what it felt to be loved. His parents compensated their absences with expensive gifts and unlimited credit cards. You could say Jackson had everything anyone would ever want...except attention which he saught sleeping with as many women as he pleased. However, Jackson still felt that there was something missing in his life...no matter how many cars he bought or how many women he slept with the feeling of longing was still there.
