Shhh! part 2

Mamamoo antics

“What are you wearing?” Hwasa asked

“What? What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” Wheein asked back, looking down at her outfit

“It’s so dark. You’re dressed in all black. Who died?” Hwasa replied, lowering her sunglasses for a better look.

“Well you said we needed to look different from yesterday..” Wheein retorted, crossing her arms.

“Yeah and by that, I meant wear something so she won’t recognize us.”

“She won’t recognize me.”

“You’re sticking out like a sore thumb! Wearing all black on a hot day like today. ” Hwasa scoffed, “She won’t recognize you but she might notice you,” she added.

“Pfft,” Wheein replied, dismissing the younger girl’s comment, “I’m fine.”

“Let’s order something,” she suggested, “We can’t just come in and not buy anything. I think I’ll stick with regular pizza today.”

Not creamy alfredo?” Hwasa teased

"Helllll no,” Wheein replied immediately. She shivered as she thought back to what happened yesterday.

----

“Ohhh, my stomach…” Wheein cried out; she doubled over in pain as she held onto her tummy.

“Unnie! I thought you said the food was good!”

“Noo, I said the pizza was good. I wasn’t sure about the other stuff…” Moonbyul weakly whimpered. She too, was clutching her tummy. “But, now I know.” She groaned as she leaned back on the backseat.

The creamy alfredo chicken & shrimp pasta with extra parmesan cheese that Wheein had ordered and the Three Cheese vodka chicken penne pasta that Moonbyul had ordered was really taking their toll on the girls.

Simultaneously, the girls groaned again as another wave of the pain washed over them.

“Aigoooooo, it hurts!” Wheein moaned as she tightly clutched onto the headrest.

“Ohhh myy goddd! Is this what birth feels like?!” Moonbyul cried out as she shut her eyes and waited for the wave to pass. “Get this food baby out of me!”

“There will be something coming out of you alright, but it definitely won’t be anything as cute as a  baby,” Hwasa snickered as she turned around for a glance.

Wheein had completely curled into a ball on the back seats, while Moonbyul gripped tightly on the overhead handle with one hand and had crushed a water bottle with the other hand. Both their faces had “AGONY” written all over them.

“You guys should’ve just stuck with pizza,” She added. She was very glad that at least one of them wasn’t in pain. She would’ve felt totally betrayed if the food she ate hurt her in any way.

“It was delicious.”

“We were sick of pizza,”  Wheein replied weakly before again. “How are you not sick of pizza? Byul unnie gave you so many of the pies.”

“Well, now you’re both sick anyways.” Hwasa replied without taking her eyes off the road.

“Besides, I can never get sick of pizza.” She added with a smile.

“I love pizza and pizza loves me. It would never hurt me like it did to you. Pizza is bae.”

“I’m never going back there again!” Wheein screeched from the back. But she knew that wasn’t true. She and Hwasa had secretly agreed earlier to meet up at the pizza parlor again tomorrow. However, they aren’t going there for the food, instead, they have some spying to do.

----

“Oh Shh! She’s walking in!” Hwasa whispered as she fixed her sunglasses and lowered her head. Wheein pulled down her black baseball cap, grabbed a menu and pretended to read it.

Jingle Jingle

The bells rung out as the door opened.

Lo and behold, the same angelic girl from yesterday walked in, only this time she wore a different sundress and low wedged sandals instead.

Wheein and Hwasa exchanged glances and smirked when they saw her.

The girl greeted the people up front before glancing around. To the Hwasa and Wheein’s surprise, the girl politely bid her goodbyes to the servers, turned around and then  left the parlor.

“What? Why’d she leave? Where is she going?” Wheein whispered

“I don’t know. C’mon let’s go.” Hwasa whispered back as she got up from her seat. Wheein followed and the two of them left the parlor as well.

----

They had followed the girl for about an hour now. First, she stopped inside a  store to buy something. Wheein and Hwasa had crossed the street and waited in a different store until the girl came back out again. When she did, she carried a purple gift bag.

“What do you think she brought?” Wheein excitedly asked her friend

“A gift” Hwasa nonchalantly responded

Wheein deadpanned.

“Is that what gift bags are for? To hold gifts?” She said sarcastically, “That is brand new information!”

Hwasa just clicked her tongue and pulled on the older girl’s arm to make her follow.

After the store, the girl walked to a local park and sat there on the bench listening to music with her headphones.

“Don’t be so obvious!” Hwasa hissed, pressing Wheein’s head down.

“I’m not! I’m blending in!” Wheein quietly retorted

“Pfft, yeah right. What shadow looks like that?”

“As if the flowers  in your hair hide you any better. You look like a bouquet.” Wheein sneered, poking at the branches and flower petals in Hwasa’s hair.

“Really? Do I look pretty?” Hwasa asked sweetly, batting her eyes.

“No, you look like Venusaur with that big dumb flower in your hair, ” the older girl sassed

“Wow, rude. Stay still will you? Bushes don’t rustle!”

“They do if there’s wind!”

“Ah geez, okay fine, but just shhh!”

“You shhh!”

“No you!”

“Don’t tell me what to do! I’m your unnie!”

“Hardly!”

“Wait, crap, she’s moving again, c’mon.” Wheein gestured to Hwasa.

Now the two young girls are back in the city, still following the girl.

“Ahh, why is it so hot,” Wheein muttered, fanning herself.

“Because you wore all black on a hot day,” Hwasa snickered

“I didn’t know we would have to go sightseeing” Wheein grumbled. “What is with this girl? Couldn’t she enter a mall

or something? Somewhere with A/C? Why are we even following her again?”

“To find out more about her, remember?.” Hwasa replied, turning her head. “Also, take off that sweater.”

“Ahh I can’t, I’m not wearing an undershirt” Wheein sighed; her head drooped in regret.

“Hey! Watch it!” a voice shouted. Wheein had accidentally bumped into someone when she lowered her head.

“Sorry! So sorry!” the brunette apologized

“Ow! Mommy! She stepped on my foot!” a child’s voice rung out

“Omg! I didn’t mean to! So sorry!” Wheein turned around and hastily bowing to the glaring mother before catching up with Hwasa.

“Yeesh, everyone’s so on edge today. Must be the hot weather,” the older girl huffed.

“Or maybe it’s because you stepped on them,” the younger girl pointed out.

“No, it’s the sun,” the older girl insisted.

“Whatever. Look!” Hwasa pointed to a restaurant that the angelic girl had walked into.

“A/C!” Wheein squealed.

“Shhh!” Hwasa shushed, turning her head, one finger on her lips.

“Sorry!” Wheein mouthed.

The two of them entered the restaurant and sat down four tables behind the girl.

“Oh yessss,” Wheein cooed, laying her head and arms on the cool marble table. “I want to stay here forever.” Luckily for Wheein, the restaurant was pretty empty, so it wasn’t very embarrassing. The only customers there were her and Hwasa, the girl, and another couple who sat in the very front.

“Good thing we’re under the A/C vent,” Hwasa nodded in unison as she gestured for the waiter. After the much exhausting day, the two girls decided to just order two bowls of Patbingsoo which arrived shortly afterwards. They enjoyed their cool snack while they kept their eyes on the girl.

“Two bowls of beef intestines soup?!” Wheein whispered with shock. “How could she eat soup on such a hot day? And two orders of it?!” She shoved another spoonful of shaved ice into . Just making seeing the girl eat the soup made her sweat again.

Hwasa also took another bite of the patbingsoo and shrugged in response. They continued to watch the girl. Suddenly, to their surprise, the girl got up and walked out of the restaurant again.

“What the…”

“But we just got here!”

Luckily for them, the girl walked back into the restaurant. Hwasa and Wheein both let out a sigh of relief, glad that they didn’t have to move again. But their smiles disappeared when another girl with dark brunette hair in a pastel pink sleeveless blouse and white skirt followed directly behind. They sat down at the table that the angelic girl had sat in earlier.

“Who’s that? Is she on a date?” Hwasa asked quietly

“How am I supposed to know? Do I look like I’m her?” Wheein replied quietly

“You guys both have brown hair”

“So?”

“So, if I squint both eyes, then yes.”

“Ahh, jeongmal, seriously” Wheein lightly slapped the younger girl’s arm.

Hwasa responded by placing her finger against her lips, signaling that they should be quiet.

“Thanks for inviting me, unnie” The dark brunnette girl said.

“Of course, don’t be so courteous, Irene,” the angelic girl said sweetly. “Did you and Wendy enjoy the pizza yesterday?

“Yes! Very much! Thank you again, Solar unnie.” The dark brunnette smiled brightly

“No problem,” the older girl beamed back.

“Joy and Yeri were over yesterday so they had some too. They loved it.”

“Oh is that so? I’ll bring some for them next week.”

“They would love that. Did you get the pizza from Alessandro’s?” The dark brunette girl asked

“Mhm,” the angelic girl replied, nodding her head. “ I always get the pizza from there since it's good. I stay away from the pasta since I had a bad experience with it the last time I ordered.”

Both Wheein and Hwasa couldn’t help but smirk when they heard the comment come out of the girl’s mouth, especially Wheein who knew first hand what the girl was talking about.

“Okay, I’ll be sure to get just the pizza next time. Did you order yet?.” The dark brunette said before opening the menu

“Yeah, I ordered Beef Intenstine soup, is that okay with you?” Solar nodded.

“Woah, unnie, I love you but there’s no way I can have that today. It’s way too hot.” Irene’s eyebrow furrowed.

“Alright, you’re loss though. I’m eating your portion too then. It’s super delicious” the angelic girl teased

“Sure, go ahead. Wrap it up and save it for later.” the dark brunette replied, picking out a new dish.  She beckoned for the waiter and quickly ordered. The two of them continued their conversation immediately.  When they did, Wheein and Hwasa shifted their bodies slightly so they could eavesdrop better.

“Speaking of the parlor, did you see her again??” The dark brunette asked, starting the convo

“Mm no, she wasn’t there today. But I saw her yesterday, Irene,” the angelic girl said

“Same time?”

“Yeah, same time as always.”

“She must really like that pizza parlor.”

“Yeah, she must do. She was with two friends yesterday. They were weird.”

Surprised at the sudden mention, Hwasa and Wheein stiffened when they heard the girl talk about them. They glanced at each other when they heard the word “weird.”

“Oh? Weird? Good weird or bad weird?” Irene questioned.

“Good kind of weird. They were goofy.” Her friend replied.

“Looking? Goofy looking?” Irene joked

When Hwasa heard that comment, she pointed to Wheein and faked a silent laugh. The older girl responded by swatting her hand.

“Haha, no Irene, not goofy looking. Their personalities were goofy. They were all attractive.”

“Especially the blonde, huh?” Irene teased, letting a smile escaped her lips

“Especially the blonde,” the angelic girl responded with a giggle

At this time, Wheein and Hwasa were barely able to contain their excitement. They were both ecstatic for their Moonbyul unnie. They were felt the chances of getting the two together had just increased.

“You should go up to her,” Irene suggested

“What? Just like that? That’s so sudden!” the lighter brunette exclaimed

“Yeah but it shows that you’re confident and bold.”

“But I’m not?”

“Fake it till you make it. Act like you are. You love acting, it should be easy for you.”

“But Irene-”

“Solar unnie,” Irene interrupted, “Do you plan on just visiting that parlor every weekend just to admire her from afar? Is that what you want?”

“Yes, I’m fine with that.” Solar replied sheepishly

“No!” Irene objected, “That’s not what you want. Next time you see her, you need to seize the opportunity and ask for her name at least.” She raised her hand and made a grabbing motion, “Grab the bull by the horns and go up to her first.”

Solar just stared at the girl before her. This was the same girl who refused to talk to her crush in school because she was too shy and now she’s the one doling out advice.

“Wow Irene, that’s some bold talk coming from you considering the fact that you couldn’t even talk to Seulgi.” Solar mocked as she crossed her arms and leaned back.  “You ran away whenever she came close.”

“Exactly!” Irene exclaimed, leaning forward. “Don’t you see? I missed my chance because I didn’t make the first move. I was a wimp, unnie. Don’t be a wimp like me. Learn from my mistakes and seize the day!”

“I don’t know…”

“Oh, come on,” Irene whined, rolling her eyes. “ Do you want me to go with you for support or something? Do you want me to sit four tables back and pretend to be a normal customer and spy on you guys?”

Wheein and Hwasa tensed up again. Their giddy expressions from before had suddenly disappeared and instead, they were frozen. For some reason, it feels as if they been caught. Wheein picked up the menu beside her and raised it to her profile, covering her face and beckoned Hwasa to lean forward.

“Psst, do you think they knows we’re here?” She whispered

“I don’t think so but…” Hwasa whispered back. The hairs on her neck were sticking up.

“I’m getting chills” she finished.

“Me too,” Wheein said rubbing her arm. “She’s not looking at us, right?”

Hwasa turned slightly for a better view at the two girls. Solar was sitting with her back faced to them while her friend Irene sat across. There’s no way Solar could’ve saw them unless she completely turned around. As for Irene, she hasn’t even seen Hwasa or Wheein so she couldn’t have recognized them. To her, they probably just seem like regular customers who hasn’t ordered anything.

“Nahh, don’t worry, they don’t know that we’re here.” Hwasa reassured. Wheein nodded and went back to eavesdropping.

“What? Don’t be silly, you don’t need to come with me. I’ll do it myself.” Solar muttered

“Great!” Irene beamed, satisfied with the older girl’s answer. “So like tomorrow?”

“No, she only shows up on the weekends, and it’s already sunday today, so I guess next weekend.”

“Aw, so long.”

“It’ll come sooner than you think.”

“You'll tell me what happens, right?”

“Of course, Baechu.” Solar teased, pinching the younger girl’s cheeks, “You’re my precious dongsaeng, I would never keep anything from you.”

When Wheein heard that comment, she couldn’t help but grin like a fool. She was really liking this Solar girl. Kind, warm, and playful, this girl would be the perfect fit for Moonbyul. The two of them would fit perfectly like day and night.  Wheein nudged Hwasa’s hand, smiled and  nodded. The younger girl reciprocate the actions, signifying that she also approved of the angelic girl.

“Oh! Speaking of Seulgi…”Solar reached down and pulled up the purple gift bag from earlier. “Ta-da! I got you a gift!” She cheerfully piped, handing it over to the younger girl.

“What? You did? Why, unnie?” Irene asked in shock as she took the gift.

“Well, I know you’ve been busy with your schedule and I’m sorry I couldn’t be at every show to support you, so I just wanted to give you a little something before you start your next tour. Go, ahead, open it.”

Irene did as she was told. She moved aside the tissue paper pulled out a small white box and a medium sized teddy bear wearing a jersey with the number “43” written on the back.

“Two gifts? You shouldn’t have,” the girl said with a smile. She opened the white box and pulled out a sparkling silver necklace with a shiny small sun pendant.

“Aww, unnie! This is so pretty! Thank you!” the girl gleefully squealed, bowing her head several times to show her gratitude.

“Hehe, no problem! “I’m glad you like it. I chose the bear because obvious reasons is obvious;“43” for I love you. But now you can sleep with it at night and imagine it’s Seulgi instead.” Solar smirked

“Ahh, don’t say that!” Irene blushed, both hands covering her face.

Solar giggled at the girl before her  and continued to explain her choice of gifts.

“And I chose this necklace because it had a sun so you don’t forget who loves you the most, me, Kim Yongsun, haha and also to serve as a reminder that no matter what happens, or what hardships you go through, that I’m only one call away and I’ll always be there to brighten your day. As long as the sun’s out, I will always be supporting you!”

“Aww, unnie! That’s super sweet of you.” Irene gushed. “But what about if it’s not sunny? Like cloudy and rainy? Will you not support me when I have my night concerts?” she joked.

“I’ll be supporting you even more so if it’s cloudy or raining. Just know that with that necklace, the sun’s always with you, which means I’m always with you, and that I’m rooting for you no matter what.”

“D’awww!” Wheein cooed quietly, placing one hand over her heart while her other hand repeatedly slapped Hwasa. It was so sweet, she couldn’t take it anymore.

“She’s really thoughtful. You should take notes,” Hwasa half heartedly joked, poking the girl next to her.

“Shut up, I’m already great as I am, “ the brunette retorted. “But seriously, we have got to get her together with Byul unnie.”

Hwasa nodded in agreement. “Definitely.”

Part 2!  Yay for Red Velvet! Originally intended to just make this story a two shot but I wanted to expand on Solar's character a bit just so Wheein and Hwasa know what she's like. Can't try to matchmake Moonbyul with the wrong person now can they? ^-^ anyways the story will probably be wrapped up in the next part. Thanks for reading!
