In the beginning there were five— the princess, the player, the knight, the joker, and the fairy.

The princess did not know she was a princess,

The player had ambitions for royalty,

The knight loved the princess,

The joker did too,

And the fairy flew around all of them.

But the princess unknowingly became a queen and the player was handed a mask for her new role.

And then there were three.

The knight loved the queen,

The joker thought he did,

And the fairy lost her wings.

But the knight was on his way to becoming a king and the joker was on his way to becoming a humorous prince.

So now there was one.

The fairy that lost her wings was no longer a fairy.

She was just a human, a very happy human.
