Only In My Dreams

Description

This is one of my stories that never got the chance of being completed. XD Might as well post this so that I could force myself to finish them. I've written unitl Chapter 2, but I'll post the prologue first. :)

More description to be posted soon. :)

Foreword

Rays of bright, white lights, coming from almost everywhere, starts to hurt your eyes, as it invades the small slit formed from your sleepy eyes. The pain from the heavy rays prompted you to return to your consciousness.

The moment you opened your eyes, you were almost blinded by the white lights surrounded you. You shielded your sensitive eyes by covering them with your right hand, and slightly closing your eyes a little, protecting them from the painful rays, but still making sure that you can still see your environment. You slowly looked down and saw your own body, wrapped in a soft silk of white dress, fitted enough for your comfort. You used your free hand to assist your body to stand up from the white tiles of the ground, where you were laying.

And that’s when you realized that you were in a midst of an unknown white horizon. Everything was in its purest white. Not even a bit of color maybe seen, except for your fair complexion, the brown orbs of your eyes, you rosy pink cheeks and lips, and the long pearl black hair of yours, which was freely flowing from your back.

It was as if your memory was snatched away from you, because when you tried to bring to your mind the past events that may lead you to a sensible reason of why are you here, nothing seems to flow out of your mind. It was as if your memory was as pure and as white as your environment now.  All you knew was your name, and that you are now standing in the middle of white nothingness.

The atmosphere that the place you are in right now may seem pure, serene, still and tranquil, but your heart was already racing. Fear enveloped you, as you know almost nothing, not even your way out.

In an attempt to at least get some help or anything, you tried to open your mouth and shout, hoping that somewhere from this vast nothingness, one would eventually answer you, but to no avail. Your words just echoed back to you.

You were indeed, alone. So alone.

Like a human instinct, your body curled instantly against the cold floor, your head resting at the top of your knees, and in the verge of crying - crying because of confusion and hopelessness, until you heard an unfamiliar sound, which was obviously not from you.

And it didn’t make you feel any better. It sounded of danger.

You tilted your head up a little, trying to peek at the indefinite place you are in now, trying to find the origin of that unfamiliar sound. But you saw nothing – as in purely nothing. But the sound didn’t cease. It even grew louder and louder, and nearer. For all you know, the sound was already booming inside your ears, nearly ripping your sanity off from you.

You screamed, shouted and bawled, but your voice was not even an a half as loud as the noises that seems to come from some underground world. But it didn’t matter. You continue to scream, for it is the only thing you could do right now. Sitting in the middle of this vast, unknown situation, with your body curled like a baby inside a mother’s womb, you pressed both of your hands hard on your ears and screamed with all your might, fighting off the evil sounds. You were already nearing to lose your sanity, until…

A warm couple of hands brushed your arms…

Your screams came to a stop as these warm hands touched yours. An electrifying current creeped inside you, but at the same time, you felt as if you’re in the safest place in the world.

The arms were comforting. And before you knew it, you already felt as if you’re floating in the air. Well not really, but you are indeed floating – floating in between those warm hands. Though your eyes were still shut closed, you can feel that your body was lifted from the cold grounds, as the arms scooped your weakened body.

That person held you for so long, as he walks away from the all the noise that you heard, until you heard a refreshing sound of waters splashing and running, of birds chirping and singing in a melodious rhythm, of the soft sounds created by some leaves being brushed by the slightly cold but refreshing breeze. You opened your eyes, and saw the most beautiful thing you’re ever seen - A paradise.

Unlike the place you were in a while ago, all you saw now was beautiful scenery of nature in its finest colors. Tall trees lined a stony pathway, with plenty of flower plants in between them. At the right side was a very scenic body of water – a river to be exact. The sound of the crystal clear waters hitting the stones from the waterbed was really refreshing. Your gaze went upwards, and saw the very blue sky, and flying birds adding to its beauty. A paradise indeed.

You were so absorbed with your admiration of the paradise that you are in right now, that you didn’t realized that you are still in the arms of someone unfamiliar to you. The person seems to sense the uneasiness in you, as your body contracted in an awkward fashion, trying to face the person. His face was only a few inches away from your line of vision, when suddenly, your body hit the ground.
